When Sangshen checked in at the hospital today, she found Buling and Liang Boda sitting in the corridor outside.
"What's going on? Why are they all outside?"
Upon seeing the mulberry, Bu Ling immediately smiled and exclaimed, "My brother is awake!"
"Really? That's great!" This way, Little Black Girl won't have to work so hard. She's been staying up all night with him lately, and it breaks his heart to see her like that.
Buling nodded happily. It's good that she's awake; the doctor said that as long as she's awake, everything will be alright.
"Hmph~" Liang Boda snorted lightly.
He just couldn't stand this kid, always acting like a peacock showing off its feathers.
Mulberry also learned to ignore Liang Boda. So what if he hummed? It wouldn't hurt him. The most important thing was...
"Brother Liang, why are you always targeting mulberries?" Bu Ling asked.
Liang Boda glared at Sang Shen; this was the second reason he disliked the kid.
"No, I just have a stuffy nose."
"real?"
"Really, it's probably because I cried for too long just now, my nose is a little stuffy," Liang Boda said sincerely.
"Okay, I believe you," Bling said reluctantly.
Liang Boda gave Sang Shen a knowing look; now that Old Bu was awake, this kid wouldn't be smug for long.
Mulberry ignored him and sat down next to Bling.
"Bling, once you've rested, I'll show you around Kyoto. You've never been to Kyoto before, have you?"
"Great!" This was truly her first time in Kyoto. Her previous life didn't count; back then it was bustling with activity, nothing compared to now.
"I'll take you to see the flag-raising ceremony, climb the Great Wall, stroll around Houhai, go ice skating, there are so many fun places to go."
"Sure, it's a rare opportunity to come here, so I should definitely explore it properly. I don't know if I'll ever have the chance to come again." She didn't have the ambition to live in Kyoto forever. In fact, she thought that small county town was perfect; a simple and peaceful life like that would be so happy.
"There's definitely a chance," Mulberry said confidently.
If that little black girl marries him, she'll never have to worry about not having a chance to come to Kyoto again. This is no joke!
Buling didn't catch his implied meaning, but nodded nonetheless: "That's true." Could she come visit sometime? Or, when she had more money, she could buy a courtyard house and wait for its value to appreciate—that would be perfect! Even a life of leisure would be comfortable enough without worries about food and clothing.
If she wants to buy a courtyard house, she'll have to think carefully about how to earn the money. Otherwise, with her current salary of thirty-five a month, that's only four hundred a year, and four thousand in ten years—and that's assuming she doesn't eat, drink, or spend a penny. Buying a courtyard house? She'll have to wait until her next life.
However, she doesn't force it; she'll just let things take their course. If she has the money, she'll buy a house; if she doesn't, she'll buy another one. In short, buying a house is the right thing to do!
"Bling? Bling?"
"Huh? What's wrong?"
"What are you thinking about? I've called you several times."
"Nothing, nothing. I'm just thinking about where to go. I need to buy some new clothes first; my current clothes all stink." Of course they do! Wearing the same clothes for so long, it's no wonder they smell.
"That's easy. There are several tailor shops and remittance shops in Kyoto. We can go and have a look. If you don't have any money, I'll lend you some first, and you can pay me back when you get back." Actually, it wouldn't be necessary to pay it back, but the little black girl wouldn't agree to that.
"No need, little sister, we won't lend him the money. Old Bu and I have money. Buy whatever you like, your brothers will buy it for you." Liang Boda glanced at Sangs smugly.
Little brat, you think you can mess with him?
"Okay, then I won't stand on ceremony with you," Buling said sweetly.
No girl can resist the joy of shopping!
As for saving money, we'll think about that later. We should live in the moment, right?
Money is worthless, she'll earn it back after she spends it.
When Sangshen saw the little black girl's profile, he was overjoyed. As long as Buling agreed to go shopping with him, everything else was trivial.
What is this? This is a date, a romantic getaway for two, a trip to Kyoto together. If things have progressed like this, then getting married is just around the corner!
They'll get their marriage certificate when Xiao Hei Niu turns eighteen; I'm sure she's been eagerly anticipating it for a while.
The door to the ward had been closed for over an hour before it opened, and Commander Liu and Deputy Division Commander Huang came out.
The three of them stood up.
Commander Liu first smiled at Sangshen, then, seeing his nonchalant demeanor, thought to himself, "How boring! Are all the young people these days so shameless?"
"Comrade Xiao Bu, Comrade Bu Yi still needs to rest well. Your families will have to work hard during this time," Commander Liu said kindly.
"It's what I should do, Commander Liu, you're too kind."
Commander Liu nodded with a smile. This girl was really quite nice after getting to know her; Sang Xiaoqi had a good eye for talent.
After giving his instructions, Commander Liu didn't linger. The intelligence Comrade Buyi had just provided was too astonishing; he needed to make arrangements quickly.
Deputy Commander Huang also had many things to do and left in a hurry. Before leaving, he only said, "Xiao Liang, you stay here and take care of Xiao Bu with Comrade Bu Ling. Come back when Xiao Bu is better."
Liang Boda readily agreed: "I guarantee I'll complete the mission!" This was practically a vacation in disguise, and he was delighted.
After watching the two figures descend the stairs, Bu Ling withdrew her gaze and entered the ward.
"Brother, how are you feeling right now?"
"It's alright now. It's all thanks to Lingling this time; you saved your brother." After his earlier exercise, Bu Yi spoke much more fluently.
Bling moved a chair and sat down beside his bed.
"Why are you being so polite with me?"
"Yes, yes, yes, it was my fault, brother," Buyi said good-naturedly.
Liang Boda moved a chair to the other side of the hospital bed. There were only two chairs in the room, and Liang Boda got there first, leaving Sangshen to stand rather awkwardly.
Buyi is in a private room. While he is unconscious, there are guards outside the door 24 hours a day, and medical staff entering and leaving must undergo checks.
