Chapter 89 Returning to Hebei Province

Bling stayed in Kyoto for almost a month. When she arrived, she was wearing short sleeves, but when she left, she was already wearing a light cotton-padded jacket.

This thin cotton-padded jacket was custom-made by Sangshen and Buling at a famous tailor shop in Kyoto. At that time, Buling not only ordered two thin cotton-padded jackets, but also two thick ones, and it was done in a hurry, so that she could wear it before leaving.

After calculating the costs of this trip to Kyoto, Buling realized she had spent quite a bit of money. Luckily, she had some savings, otherwise she wouldn't have dared to spend so much.

For the past month, Liang Boda has been paying for all of Bu Ling's shopping expenses. It's clear that Bu Yi instructed him to do so, as he always rushes to pay.

However, all the tickets were paid for by Sangshen. Although Buyi was rich, some tickets were really hard to come by. Buling wrote down all the expenses in her little notebook, planning to return them to Sangshen at a discount when they got back.

The title hasn't been decided yet, how can we spend so much of their money?

After the attending physician examined Buyi thoroughly, he announced that Buyi's condition had recovered well and he could be discharged from the hospital.

Bu Yi, Liang Boda, and Sangshen, who rushed over after receiving the news, all pitched in to carry all the items, leaving the hospital with bags and bundles.

Hmm~ Most of the things in here belong to Bu Ling. Bu Yi only has a few changes of clothes and some medicine, and nothing else.

After leaving the hospital, Sangshen led the three to a jeep parked not far away and said to Buling, "This is my grandfather's bodyguard. Just call him Uncle Lin. He can help us take our things to the train station later. We'll take the tram, which will make things easier."

"Hello Uncle Lin, thank you for your help," Bu Ling said with a smile.

"Comrade Buling, you're too kind. It's what I should do." Uncle Lin subtly glanced at Buling and the two men behind her several times.

Bu Yi and Liang Boda put their things in the jeep, thanked Uncle Lin, and then the three of them boarded the tram, led by Sang Shen.

Logically, Bu Yi and Liang Boda didn't want to accept Sang Shen's help, since he seemed to have ulterior motives. However, they couldn't resist Bu Ling's agreement.

To avoid upsetting their younger sister, the two had no choice but to reluctantly accept it.

The tram wasn't crowded, and the four of them found seats and sat down in silence all the way to the train station.

This time, instead of rushing on the way here, Buyi specially asked Liang Boda to buy sleeper tickets so that he could be more comfortable on the way back.

Liang Boda initially planned to buy three tickets, but Sangshen stubbornly insisted on coming along. Considering their friendship from their two weeks of traveling together in Kyoto, Liang Boda relented and bought four tickets.

Perfect, the four of them occupied a carriage, so they didn't have to share a carriage with strangers, greatly improving their safety.

After boarding the train and putting away their luggage, Buyi said, "Lingling, you and I will sleep in the upper bunk, and Comrade Sangshen and Lao Liang will sleep in the lower bunk, okay?"

"Sure, whatever you say, bro!" Bling had no objections whatsoever.

The remaining two had no objections.

They bought train tickets for noon and arrived in Gu County, Hebei Province the next morning. When they got off the train, Liang Boda and Sang Shen got off first because they had too much luggage. The Bu Yi siblings passed their luggage out the window, and then the two of them got off the train feeling much lighter.

After getting off the bus, Sangshen remembered he still had a bicycle. He told the three of them, went into the ticket hall, and returned a short while later with the bicycle.

Seeing this, Buyi said, "Perfect! Comrade Sangshen, ride your bicycle back. The three of us will take the car." He pointed to a jeep parked outside the station.

Mulberry: "..."

This is truly a case of seizing every opportunity to ostracize him.

"Okay!"

Bu Yi nodded in satisfaction. That's more like it.

Sangshen helped load the luggage into the jeep before riding off on her bicycle.

"Lingling, do you want to come back to the military compound with me for a while?" Bu Yi asked.

Bu Ling shook his head: "No, brother, I've been away for a month. I'll rest today, but I have to go back to work tomorrow. It's not good to keep taking leave."

"Alright, I'll take you back to the courtyard house first." Then, Bu Yi said to the soldier driving the car, "Xiao Wang, go to Yangliu Hutong first."

"Yes, sir!" Little Wang replied loudly.

Liang Boda sat in the passenger seat, while the Buling siblings sat in the back.

Twenty minutes later, the jeep slowly stopped at the entrance of the courtyard. Bu Yi explained things to Xiao Wang, then said to Bu Ling, "Let's go. I'll take your things back first, then I have to go back to the military region."

"Brother, why don't you rest a little longer?" Bu Ling frowned; her brother had just been discharged from the hospital.

"No, I still have a lot of things to take care of." Bu Yi didn't elaborate, and carried his things into the courtyard.

Buling had no choice but to follow, quickening her pace. Just as she entered the courtyard, she saw Aunt Lan washing clothes.

"Hey, Bling's back? Is your brother alright?"

"It's alright, Aunt Lan, thank you for your concern!" Bu Ling replied with a smile.

As they were talking, Aunt Wu, who had heard the noise, opened the door and came out. Looking at Bu Ling and the two tall figures behind her, she said, "Little Bu, you're back?"

"Yes, Aunt Wu, I'll talk to you later."

As he spoke, Bu Ling took out the key hanging around his neck, opened the door, and said to Bu Yi and the other man, "Brother, Brother Liang, please come in first."

Buyi and his companion, each carrying two large bundles, smiled at the two older women and went inside.

Just as Buling was about to light the coal stove and boil some water for the two of them, Aunt Wu came in carrying a thermos.

"Xiao Bu, this house hasn't been lived in for so long, you should clean it thoroughly. Here, this is hot water, have some to warm up before you get busy."

"Thank you, Aunt Wu. I won't stand on ceremony. This is a real lifesaver." Buling took the thermos.
