Chapter 99 Mo's Sad Story

Upon hearing Bu Ling's words, Aunt Shen's face twisted in pain, her eyes glaring at Bu Ling as if she wanted to devour her, but she truly didn't know how to refute him.

Buling curled her lip. This old lady was both incompetent and a troublemaker; she had no choice but to submit to her.

"Xiao Bu, thank you so much." Sister Mo's eyes were a little red, clearly touched on a sore spot.

She's been married to Da Bao for three years, and there's still no sign of pregnancy. How can she not be anxious? She's tried medication, folk remedies, and even shamelessly gone to the hospital with Da Bao for a checkup. The doctor said there's nothing wrong with either of them; it's just that their time together hasn't come yet.

Da Bao said she wasn't in a hurry, but she was anxious. Over the past two years, she'd heard countless people gossip behind her back that she was a barren hen, and even her family was advising her to just adopt a baby, hoping it might bring her good fortune in getting pregnant.

She's been under a lot of pressure lately, and what Aunt Shen said really hit a nerve.

"Hey! It's nothing, Sister-in-law Mo, don't worry about it." Bu Ling waved her hand. Anyway, she had already offended Aunt Shen thoroughly, so she didn't care about such a small matter.

"But, Sister Mo, how did you end up arguing with Aunt Shen?" The main problem is that these two are completely incompatible.

"It's Aunt Shen. For some reason, she knows our supply and marketing cooperative employees have cotton that doesn't require coupons, and she insists I share some with her. My own family doesn't even have enough; how can I just give it away like that?" Cotton is something no one can have too much of, especially since she and Aunt Shen weren't particularly close.

Wu Yuanyuan leaned closer and muttered softly, "Didn't Aunt Shen buy a lot of cotton yesterday? Why isn't it enough?" That's too greedy!

At this point, Sister Mo gloated, "Her cotton was stolen by Jiang Sheng, so Widow Liu used the cotton to make two cotton-padded jackets overnight, which are now being worn by her two sons." Serves her right!

Bu Ling and Wu Yuanyuan exchanged a glance, suddenly understanding why Aunt Shen had acted that morning. To put it simply, Jiang Sheng was truly the most filial person they had ever met.

After chatting for a couple more minutes, Bu Ling and Wu Yuanyuan went back to their rooms. It was just too cold that day, and no one was in the mood for gossip.
