What used to be a five-minute walk took Buling a full half hour to reach this point.
Upon arriving at the hospital, the doctor, seeing her condition, didn't even need to be told: "The pregnant woman, come over here to prepare for delivery!"
Bling looked up to make sure the other person was talking to her before staggering behind the doctor.
She hadn't walked more than a few steps when a new wave of pain hit her. She could only stand still, leaning against the wall, waiting for the pain to pass before continuing to walk. During this time, Uncle Lin stayed with her the whole time.
Seeing Uncle Lin's flustered look, the doctor calmly asked, "Have you prepared the swaddle blankets and other quilts needed for childbirth?"
"What?" Uncle Lin looked at the doctor in surprise, and only realized what he meant when the doctor's gaze became increasingly disdainful: "Alright, alright!"
"Are you holding it?"
"No...no." Uncle Lin was unusually short of breath.
The doctor frowned upon hearing this, and was about to say something when she heard a voice behind her: "Lingling!" Then something brushed past her side.
doctor:? ? ?
Before she could even ask, she saw a man rush towards the pregnant woman, "Lingling, how are you? Are you alright now?"
Seeing the worried look on the man's face, and glancing at the man beside her, she stammered, "And who is that?"
"The pregnant woman's husband," Uncle Lin replied simply.
"oh!"
The doctor was stunned for a moment, then came to his senses and said, "Sir, please carry the pregnant woman to the bed!"
"Oh, oh, okay!" Sangshen bent down to pick up Buling, then looked at the doctor.
The doctor quickly led the way, and when they arrived at the ward, he ushered the two men out, examined Buling thoroughly, and then announced, "She's dilated to six centimeters. Let's wait a little longer!"
In that instant, Bling felt like dying!
She knew childbirth was painful, but she never imagined it would be this painful!
Can she return the product? She doesn't want to have the baby anymore!
To be honest, even when zombies roamed her previous life, she never felt so much pain that she didn't want to live anymore.
"Doctor...how much longer?" She felt like an eternity had passed.
"It's still six fingers, don't worry."
Bling: ...
"Grass!"
"What?" The doctor turned his head in confusion.
"...Ugh...I'm a little hungry." After struggling to come up with a conclusion, Bling gave up and changed the subject.
"I'll go and inform your family so they can make you something to eat and bring it over." Fortunately, the doctor wasn't a very curious person.
Bling: "Th...uh...thank you!"
Damn it! When will I be able to deliver?! It hurts so much!
While waiting for her food, Bling endured wave after wave of pain, and just when she was about to give up, her food finally arrived.
When Sangshen came in with the lunchbox, Buling was almost moved to tears. She stared intently at the lunchbox in Sangshen's hand.
"Are you hungry? I made you some noodles, have some." Sangzhen suppressed her panic and forced herself to remain calm.
In the past, Bu Ling would have noticed that something was wrong with him long ago, but now she was in pain and hungry and had no time to care about anything else, staring longingly at the lunchbox.
After a moment, Sangshen opened the lunchbox and, with trembling hands, fed Buling noodles.
Bling didn't mind that the noodles were plain; she ate them all in one go, then collapsed back onto the hospital bed to continue her training.
The waves of pain made Buling feel like she was about to see her own mother when she finally heard the doctor's heavenly voice: "Ten centimeters dilated, you can give birth now, all men, get out!"
Bling thought about asking if she could find a strip of cloth, but the doctor seemed to understand her perfectly and immediately stuffed a sponge into her mouth: "Just listen to my instructions. When I tell you to exhale, you exhale; when I tell you to exhale, you exhale. Don't be nervous, we're here for you!"
Bling nodded slightly.
Her mind was reeling from the pain, but she remembered the doctor's instructions perfectly: push, push, and push again, following the doctor's rhythm...
Outside the ward, Sangshen leaned against the wall with his eyes closed, looking very calm. But if you got close, you could see that his trouser legs were moving without any wind, his hands were trembling violently, and his face was pale.
However, at times like this, everyone's attention is focused on the ward, and no one has the time to care about the mulberry.
Outside the ward, the two brothers, Sang Shen and Sang Zi, were keeping watch, along with Aunt Fang and Uncle Lin. As for Grandpa Sang, he was forcibly left at home.
The four people, some sitting and some standing, all had their eyes fixed on the ward, listening to the doctor's steady guidance and the occasional muffled groans from Bu Ling, and reacted in different ways.
Mulberry gave a muffled groan, his face turning pale.
Sang Zi mechanically pushed up his glasses, which were now almost up to his forehead.
While sitting in the chair, Fang Sao mentally prayed to all sorts of gods and deities.
The calmest person here was Uncle Lin. Although his eyes were anxious, he was still able to keep his composure.
Bu Ling was unaware of the anxiety of those outside. At this moment, she only had one thought in her mind: she wondered when painlessness would be invented, and how fortunate people in later generations were!
At first, she could follow the doctor's train of thought, but later, she was left with only instinct. The tearing pain in her lower body made it impossible for her to faint.
I could only endure wave after wave, one by one, in this half-awake state.
"Hang in there a little longer, you can see the head, take a deep breath, yes, take a deep breath, adjust slowly, push gently!" the doctor patiently guided.
"Yes, that's it, very good, the head is almost out."
"Ah~" Suddenly, Bling let out a miserable howl, her body stiffened, her hands gripped the bed sheet tightly, and the veins on her forehead throbbed.
