Chapter 73

The whole family was sitting in the main room, looking at Li Qingyan and Song Jianshe, feeling very nervous.

"How is it? Any results?" Chen Xiuxiu asked nervously, clenching her hands.

Even though I had a letter of introduction, I was still a little scared. Especially since I was applying for a teaching position, it was a bit more difficult.

Yang Yulan and Feng Guizhi didn't ask, but they all stared at Li Qingyan, their hearts tense, waiting for her answer.

Li Qingyan glanced at Song Jianshe, unable to help but smile, her voice trembling slightly as she spoke, "Got it. The director said I passed. I'll start teaching next week."

Although school starts tomorrow, it's a Thursday, so she hasn't scheduled any classes for the first two days. She teaches Chinese, and since she's a new teacher, she's not the homeroom teacher. The homeroom teacher is a veteran math teacher. The homeroom teacher will spend the first two days getting the students acquainted and comfortable with the environment, and then classes will officially begin the following Monday.

With these few days of buffer time, Li Qingyan thought she'd come back to announce the good news. She could prepare lessons at home, and it would still be in time. So, she and Song Jianshe hurried back today.

The whole family was overjoyed when they heard this. They looked at each other with uncontrollable joy on their faces.

"This is really great! Our Song family is going to have an elementary school teacher."

"Congratulations to the fourth son's wife. She's really accomplished. It's not easy to become a teacher. You have to be well-educated and knowledgeable."

"From now on, our family will have someone who can eat commercial grain in the city."

Everyone was talking happily, and Feng Guizhi was also happy. After all, the spot hadn't been wasted. The family had one less person working in the fields, and one more knowledgeable elementary school teacher.

Li Qingyan was still a little confused. She had never imagined that a month ago, she was just a housewife taking care of her children, but now she could become a teacher. To be honest, she had never dreamed that there would be such an opportunity.

She turned to look at Yang Yulan, and was very grateful to Song Jianye and Yang Yulan's family. She reached out and held Yang Yulan's hand: "Third sister-in-law, I really have to thank you very much, otherwise I would not have this opportunity."

Yang Yulan smiled and patted

He clapped her hands and said, "No need to thank us. You got in on the exam on your own. We're all family, and if you're okay, our family will be happy too."

Li Qingyan also smiled, and a warm feeling flowed through her heart.

After chatting and laughing for a while, everyone went back to their rooms. Before, Yuanbao always slept in the west room with Tianen, while Tiantian was taken to sleep by Feng Guizhi. Today, they all went back to the east room.

The whole family slept in the same bed. Li Qingyan held Tiantian in her arms and coaxed her to sleep. Looking at her daughter's face, Li Qingyan's heart softened. She had been taking care of Tiantian since she was born, and she missed her very much after being away for so many days.

Looking at Tiantian's sleeping little face, Li Qingyan gently put her on the bed, bent down and kissed her chubby little face.

After getting up, Li Qingyan went to see Yuanbao again. Yuanbao had been separated from his father for a long time, but he had never left her side. Thinking that Yuanbao had cried before leaving, Li Qingyan also hugged Yuanbao in her arms and took out the things she bought for him in the city.

"What is this?" Yuanbao asked Li Qingyan.

"These are marbles. Your mother bought them especially for you. Tomorrow, Dad will teach you how to play. You can play with Baoya and the others."

Yuanbao was very curious about the marbles. They were round and had patterns on them. He stared at them in his hands, feeling a special curiosity.

"Let's play with it tomorrow. Let your dad put it away today."

Yuanbao obediently gave all the marbles to Song Jianshe, and then told Li Qingyan what happened after they left: "Sister Xiaobao picked up a little bird, it's very small, and we go out every day to catch insects for it to eat..."

"...and the preserved eggs that Brother Yibei sent, they are especially delicious..."

Li Qingyan listened to Yuanbao with a smile, touching Yuanbao's head again and again, feeling particularly at ease in her heart.

......

The next day, everyone in the Song family got up early. Today was the day for the children to register for school. Except for Song Aiguo and Song Aimin who had to go to work, everyone else took a day off and went to school to register the children.

After breakfast, the whole family went out, carrying a few stools in their hands.

Now you have to bring your own stool to school. In the past, you had to bring your own table, but everyone made their own stools, which were uneven. Now that life is a little better, the school arranges tables for you. So now you have to bring your own stool to school.

Just bring your own stool to sit on.

Song Bowen and the others already had them. A few days ago, Song Jianshe, Song Aiguo and Song Aimin took the time to make two more, one for Tianen and one for Yunduo.

Yang Yulan was holding a small stool, and walking with Baoya. Yuanbao also came along, and Song Jianshe and Yunduo also went with their stools.

Song Boyu, Song Wenjie and the others were very excited as they walked on the road. After all, they had been at home for two months during the holidays and they all missed going to school and were looking forward to meeting their classmates.

Moreover, Tian'en and Yunduo are both in school this year. They feel that they are older brothers in the grade and they have to protect them.

Tian En walked forward with Bao Ya, feeling both excited and a little scared. He also had a strange feeling in his heart, as if this was something he had been looking forward to for a long, long time.

The school was built near the Pingyuan Production Brigade, and children from all three brigades attended school there. There were five grades, one class per grade, and about twenty students in total.

It took about half an hour to walk from the Hongqi Production Brigade, but the children were used to it and didn't feel tired.

From a distance, you could see quite a crowd gathered at the school gate, all adults and children coming to register. Arriving early meant you could even secure a seat. Although the teachers would adjust the seating arrangements after school had started, the children were still eager to grab seats and sit with their friends.

After entering the school, the children, who were familiar with the place, took Tian'en Yunduo and Baoya Yuanbao, who were there for the first time, to the classroom, while the adults lined up to pay the tuition.

A few of the younger ones went to the first-grade classroom first. There weren't many people inside. Bowen Boyu and the others picked two seats for Tianen and Yunduo and put the stools over.

"You two should sit here first, this is a good seat."

Tian'en and Yunduo looked at their seats and then at the blackboard. They were very happy and very satisfied with their positions.

Baoya stood aside, looking around curiously. Tables were neatly arranged, with a podium in front and a large blackboard behind.

There were several first-grade students like Tianen Yunduo in the room, running and playing, having a lot of fun.

"You guys sit here for a while, let's go first

Go grab a seat and I'll come find you later." Boyu said to Tianen and Yunduo.

Both of them nodded quickly.

Then Boyu turned around and asked Baoya and Yuanbao: "Little Sister Bao, Yuanbao, do you want to stay here or go to the classroom next door with us?"

Yuanbao thought for a moment and said, "Brother, I'll go with you guys and come back to find Fifth Brother and Sixth Sister later."

Baoya looked at Tianen and Yunduo. She wanted to stay with them, but after listening to Yuanbao's words, she wanted to go somewhere else.

Tian En seemed to have read Bao Ya's mind and said, "Little sister...sister, you go with your brothers first. We'll wait here...wait for you to come back."

After hearing what Tian En said, Bao Ya nodded her head and said, "Wait, come back."

Tian'en responded, and he and Yunduo sat obediently in their seats and watched them leave.

Next to the first grade classroom is the second grade, next to that is the third grade, and the fourth and fifth grades are in the back row. There is also a teacher's office next to it.

After coming out of the first-grade classroom, several younger ones went to the second-grade classroom first. Wenjie and Wenzhi were about to be promoted to the second grade, while Song Boyu was going to the third grade. The oldest, Song Bowen, would soon go to the row of rooms at the back and enter the fourth-grade classroom.

Wenjie and Wenzhi had already gone through two semesters of first grade, so they were familiar with the issue of reserving seats. They each found their favorite seat and sat down.

Wenjie likes to sit slightly back in the middle, so he can see the blackboard more comfortably and not attract too much attention from the teacher. Wenzhi, on the other hand, prefers to sit against the wall, choosing the side with the window.

After the two people chose their seats and were about to leave, someone came in at the door.

The man saw Baoya in the room and was stunned for a moment. Then he frowned and said loudly, "Why are you here?"

When Baoya saw him, she involuntarily dodged to the side.

"Do you know my sister?" Wenjie and Wenzhi knew him. He was a classmate from the first grade, Liu Dazhu. Then they suddenly remembered that Liu Dazhu seemed to be from the Yuejin Production Brigade, so it was not surprising that he knew Baoya.

"You jinx, get out now. Don't let me see you." Liu Dazhu didn't hear what Wenjie said. He walked over and grabbed Baoya to push her out.

He remembered being laughed at before, and he didn't want people to see Baoya and his silly sister.

My sister showed up here, afraid of being laughed at again.

He didn't know that Baoya had been sold to the Song family of the Hongqi Production Brigade. He only heard that Baoya was lost, so when he saw Baoya, he wanted to take her away.

Seeing Liu Dazhu trying to pull Baoya, Song Boyu immediately blocked his way and frowned at him: "What are you doing? Who are you calling a jinx?"

"The jinx is talking about her." Liu Dazhu was a little scared when he saw Song Boyu. After all, Song Boyu was older than him and was in the third grade. So when he heard him ask, he quickly said.

After saying this, he realized that it seemed like he was scolding himself, and his face suddenly turned red.

"You, get out of the way, this is none of your business." Liu Dazhu said as he was about to pull Baoya again.

"What are you doing? You're pulling my sister and you're saying it's none of my business?"

Liu Dazhu was stunned when he heard this: "Your sister?" He looked at Song Boyu, Song Wenjie and Song Wenzhi, then at Baoya, a little confused.

"Baoya is our sister, Liu Dazhu, what are you going to do?" Song Wenjie stood up and said.

"You're talking nonsense. She's obviously my sister, how did she become yours? But if you accept her as your sister, that would be great. Then I won't have this jinxed, silly sister anymore, and you'll be the ones being laughed at."

"Your sister?" Hearing him say that, Wenjie thought that since he was from the Yuejin Production Brigade, he might be Chen Fengxia's son, Baoya's older brother.

Not only him, but the younger members of the Song family also understood what was going on, and their eyes immediately turned sour when they looked at Liu Dazhu. Baoya's mother was not only bad, but her brother was also bad.

"If you say that again, I'll beat you up." Hearing Liu Dazhu calling him a jinx and a fool, Song Boyu waved his fist at him angrily.

Liu Dazhu flinched. After all, the Song family was large. He glanced at Baoya behind them and cursed them inwardly for being foolish. He didn't want to be their sister. Then he walked over and found a seat.

"Come on, Xiaobao sister, let's go to the third grade classroom." The younger ones from the Song family glanced at Liu Dazhui, then took Baoya out.

Baoya also looked back at Liu Dazhui, then reached out and held Song Bowen's hand, and went out with several brothers.

There was a small friction here, and something also happened at the registration place on the other side.

"What's going on? Where's my money?"
