Lu Huaijiao was completely bewildered.
Or you could say, utterly bewildered.
"Lu Zhengde remarried?"
In her past life, Lu Zhengde never married Qin Lan until she died, so how come they're married now in this life?
Could it be that everything has changed because I was reborn?
Lu Huaijiao didn't know.
She didn't want to bother with that bastard Lu Zhengde anymore.
Let them get married if they want! It's perfect for two con artists to marry each other.
Lu Huaijiao wished them a long and happy marriage!
But what does it have to do with her family that those two bastards got married?
She looked at Zheng Shujuan suspiciously, and Zheng Shujuan responded with an "Ah!" and introduced her to Lu Huaijiao.
“Your stepmother said that after they got married, you would give this house to them as a gift.”
Zheng Shujuan recalled how Qin Lan had come over a few days ago, looking so smug and saying that the house would be hers in the future. She couldn't help but feel disgusted.
At the time, Zheng Shujuan was wondering how Lu Huaijiao could be so foolish as to give away the only keepsake her grandmother had left her. Now it seems that Qin Lan was lying!
"She's the one lying!"
Lu Huaijiao was furious.
"Let's not even talk about how I had no idea they were getting married. Even if I did know, I would never give the house to those two bastards."
"Someone like Qin Lan isn't even worthy of carrying my mother's shoes, yet she wants to be my stepmother? Dream on."
Lu Huaijiao possesses true qi.
He was so angry that his chest was trembling as he spoke.
Gu Changzheng held her hand to keep her from getting too agitated.
"Jiaojiao, don't be too angry. It's not worth getting angry over people who aren't worth it. Let's ignore them!"
Knowing what Lu Huaijiao had gone through, Gu Changzheng felt extremely distressed.
His little princess is such a delicate person, someone who should be cherished and pampered. How could he have made her so angry?
Even if the person who makes her this angry is her father-in-law, he still can't help but want to beat them up.
Lu Huaijiao snapped out of her daze and nodded.
"Yeah, you're right. I'm not angry with those two bastards."
As she spoke, she glanced at Zhu Guihua, who was still sitting on the ground and clearly hadn't realized that she was Lu Huaijiao, and then her gaze fell on the pile of manure to the side.
He gave a cold laugh.
"You old hag, you stripped my flowers bare, and now you want to shove manure into my house? Who gave you the nerve? Qin Lan or Lu Zhengde? Don't you know neither of them works against me?"
As Lu Huaijiao spoke, she stepped forward and kicked Zhu Guihua, who was sitting on the ground, in the shoulder.
"You bastard, you think you can bully people just because you're old? Who gave you that confidence?"
"You...you wretched girl, I'm your mother's mother, that's your grandmother! If you dare disrespect me, may I be struck by lightning!" Even at this point, Zhu Guihua still couldn't see the situation clearly!
Hearing this, Lu Huaijiao was no longer angry.
Instead, he chuckled.
"Me? Struck by lightning? You shameless old bastard and your shameless, despicable daughter will be the first to be struck!"
"Lu Huaijiao, you brat!"
Zhu Guihua suddenly stood up and lunged at Lu Huaijiao again, baring her teeth and claws.
Lu Huaijiao didn't move. Gu Changzheng took two steps to her side, raised his foot and kicked Zhu Guihua in the waist, kicking her to the side of the manure cart, overturning the cart full of manure. The full bucket of manure poured down on her head, turning Zhu Guihua into a black manure-covered figure.
The stench spread all around.
Lu Huaijiao covered her mouth and nose and pulled Gu Changzheng back to the front of their courtyard gate.
The onlookers covered their mouths and noses, pointing and whispering about Zhu Guihua sitting in the pile of dung.
Zhu Guihua was on the verge of going crazy.
She opened her mouth to curse, but the excrement fell right from her face into her mouth, and she accidentally swallowed a lot of it.
Lu Huaijiao vomited, her stomach churning violently, feeling extremely uncomfortable.
"No, no, we can't look anymore, we can't look anymore! Gu Changzheng, close the door, close the door quickly!"
She clutched her belly and turned to walk back into the house.
Gu Changzheng gave a friendly smile to the neighbors around him, then actually went inside and closed the door.
No one paid any attention to the osmanthus flowers growing in the manure pile on the street outside.
She can scream her lungs out there, but nobody will listen to her.
Inside the house!
Lu Huaijiao walked through the bare courtyard, and with each glance she took, her anger grew. Fortunately, the house was still clean and tidy; everything that had been there before was exactly as it was before.
Those bastards don't seem to have had a chance to lay a hand on her family yet.
Even so, she couldn't escape being disliked by Lu Huaijiao.
She wrinkled her nose and asked Gu Changzheng to talk to Aunt Zheng next door and ask her to find a part-time cleaner to come and clean the house.
The thought of those bastards walking around her house yesterday or today, and that they might have even sat on this stool, made Lu Huaijiao feel uncomfortable all over.
He stood there with his arms crossed, unwilling to even sit down.
Gu Changzheng found it somewhat amusing.
I found a rag, went to the backyard, wet it, wrung it out, and carefully wiped one of the stools inside and out.
"Little darling, please sit down first. I'll take care of the cleaning."
Because Lu Huaijiao's courtyard is always maintained by hourly workers, it's really not dirty.
What she disliked was simply that the group of people she didn't like had been there.
Gu Changzheng felt that he could tidy up by himself and didn't need to bother the cleaning lady.
