Chapter 110 Unequal Relationship

The young couple were busy in the kitchen together.

Cough cough cough, it's just that Gu Changzheng is cooking while Lu Huaijiao is giving her advice from the side.

Around seven o'clock, the meal was finally ready.

The white radish, stewed until tender in the bone broth, melts in your mouth; the texture is simply divine.

The soup, simmered for several hours, was milky white and had a faint aroma of bones.

Gu Changzheng was worried that this meal would be too monotonous, so he also stir-fried some lean meat, fried some fish pieces, and stir-fried some green vegetables for her.

On the rustic pearwood table, there was a floral tablecloth, upon which were placed several dishes, all of which looked and smelled delicious.

Most importantly, Gu Changzheng has already processed all of these, so they are very easy to eat.

Even the grass carp, which is usually the most unpalatable and has the most bones, had its large bones removed by Gu Changzheng. He fried the smaller bones until they were crispy, so that you wouldn't get them stuck in your throat when you took a bite!

It's delicious and incredibly tempting when eaten with white rice.

Even so, Gu Changzheng still found a clean plate and used chopsticks to pick out all the crispy fish bones.

The clean fish meat was placed on a plate.

The plate was placed next to Lu Huaijiao, so that she could eat the meat he had chosen whenever she wanted.

If this were said to be serving one's ancestors, some people would believe it.

Gu Changzheng wasn't masochistic or anything; he just felt that Jiaojiao was so delicate and soft, so she had to be taken good care of.

While the young couple was having dinner, Lu Zhengde also returned to the Lu family home.

Their home was in a different district than Lu Huaijiao's.

The journey was a bit longer, and Lu Zhengde deliberately came back a little late, so he didn't get home until dark.

Qin Lan, who had been pacing around the door for a while, finally saw the figure under the streetlight. She quickly straightened her clothes and hurried over to meet him.

"Sir, you're off work."

In this day and age, it's really a bit inappropriate for Qin Lan to still address someone as "Master".

Fortunately, Qin Lan only dared to make such comments in private. If she were to make them in public, Lu Zhengde would definitely be caught in the crossfire.

He glanced at Qin Lan who was coming to greet him and gave a faint "hmm".

He casually handed the briefcase in his hand to Qin Lan.

Where is Huaiyu?

Qin Lan took the briefcase and bent down to get Lu Zhengde the slippers from inside the house: "He got sleepy waiting for you, so I told him to go upstairs to sleep first."

They now live in a two-story villa.

This little villa was a gift from Grandma Qiao when Lu Zhengde and Su Xiaowan got married.

This can be considered as part of Su Xiaowan's dowry.

The area isn't particularly large, but the location is quite good; it's more than enough for a family of three.

Lu Zhengde hummed in agreement.

"I called him to get up and eat; he's been sleeping too long and can't sleep at night."

"OK."

Qin Lan was extremely obedient to Lu Zhengde. She first led Lu Zhengde to the table where the food had already been set out and had him sit down before turning around and going upstairs to call Lu Huaiyu.

She was cautious in her words and actions, still not quite ready to transition from her role as a nanny.

Or rather, in front of Lu Zhengde, Qin Lan could only avoid being disliked by Lu Zhengde by maintaining this attitude.

Lu Huaiyu was fast asleep.

Suddenly woken up, she angrily pushed the person away.

Qin Lan was petite and was pushed aside by Lu Huaiyu, causing her to hit the wall and hiss in pain.

"Huaiyu, how could you push your mother like that?"

She rubbed her sore elbow and walked towards Lu Huaiyu once again.

Instead of immediately pulling the blanket away, he stood to the side and asked, "Huaiyu, are you still going to buy the toy gun you said you wanted before?"

Lu Huaiyu, who had eaten too much in the afternoon and fallen asleep, was very sleepy, but as soon as he heard about the toy gun he had been longing for, which cost only twenty-odd yuan, he immediately sat up.

"Buy, buy, I want to buy, I want to buy! Take me to buy it now, okay?"

Several children in the class had their parents buy them toy guns from the department store.

Lu Huaiyu also wanted to buy it.

But his mother wouldn't allow it.

Lu Huaiyu couldn't understand why his mother, that idiot, would rather give money to that old hag Zhu Guihua than give it to him to buy a toy gun.

Although Lu Huaiyu was raised by Zhu Guihua from a young age, his nature made it impossible for him to respect his maternal grandmother, Zhu Guihua.

On the contrary, he is very vengeful.

Because Zhu Guihua had previously stolen the money that was supposed to buy him a toy gun and used it to buy meat for Qin Daqiang, Lu Huaiyu came to regard them as his enemies.

Once he gets a gun, he'll definitely go and beat up that old hag Zhu Guihua as soon as possible.

Lu Huaiyu was very excited. He grabbed Qin Lan's arms with both hands and almost broke them.

Qin Lan cried out twice and quickly pulled her arm away.

"Huaiyu, you child, why are you pinching your mother like that?"

Her arms were covered in nail marks.

Lu Huaiyu didn't think he had done anything wrong, but since he needed someone's help, he knew he had to behave well. He withdrew his hand and stood on the bed: "Will you take me to buy a toy gun?"

"Buy, buy, buy. Mom promises to buy it for you, and I will definitely buy it for you. But before that, you have to make your dad happy, and then Mom will take you to buy it."

"Make my dad happy? What could possibly make him unhappy?"

Lu Huaiyu looked at Qin Lan with suspicion.

"I don't know. Maybe your older sister came back and made your dad angry. Go and be cute to your dad, recite a few ancient poems and a few math problems to him, and he'll be happy."
