Lu Huaijiao exclaimed, finally snapping out of the daze of two lifetimes. She blinked and looked at the handprint on Gu Changzheng's cheek, her thoughts gradually returning to normal.
"Didn't you go to get materials to build a house? Why did you come back?"
"Look at the time now, what's it?"
Gu Changzheng pointed out the window, showing her the sky outside, which was almost dark. Lu Huaijiao was stunned. She had only slept for a short while, and so much time had passed?
"Oh right, it's time to get off work now, isn't it? Have you eaten yet? Where's the cigarettes and alcohol I bought for Dad? Go find them quickly. Dad's been working hard all day and just wants a good drink."
Lu Huaijiao felt no psychological burden at all when she had to order Gu Changzheng around.

Gu Changzheng, who would remain calm even if the sky were to fall, became unusually hesitant when questioned by Lu Huaijiao.
Something must have happened.
Lu Huaijiao squinted at Gu Changzheng, looking like she was not someone to talk to.
