The woman had a sudden inspiration.
She approached Lin Xiaoxiao mysteriously and whispered, "Do you know about that Dr. Liang thing that's been making such a big fuss lately?"
Lin Xiaoxiao shook her head.
The woman said with a hint of pride, "My father is a high-ranking official in the Investigation Bureau, so it's normal that there are some things you don't know."
Lin Xiaoxiao: "I'm not interested at all."
The woman whispered, "Isn't that Dr. Liang accused by the Investigation Bureau of stealing our country's secrets? He's a JD in China, right? Let me tell you quietly, the Investigation Bureau didn't find any evidence of him stealing secrets at all; it was all fabricated."
Lin Xiaoxiao's pupils contracted slightly, her expression one of surprise.
"Well, isn't that a big secret?" The woman was satisfied to see her surprise.
Lin Xiaoxiao said seriously, "You just casually talk about things that involve state secrets. What if other people find out? How can you not have any sense of the big picture? Also, where did you get this information from? Without evidence, I think you're just talking nonsense."
"I..." the woman tried to explain that she wasn't lying.
But Lin Xiaoxiao was eyeing her covetously, as if she would report her if she said anything more.
The woman dared not speak.
Lin Xiaoxiao's expression softened slightly. "Don't say things you shouldn't, remember that?"
The woman nodded eagerly.
She wasn't talking nonsense.
But she couldn't very well say that she had overheard it by accident.
"Alright, I'll pretend I didn't hear what you just said. Exchanging secrets was just a test for me, mainly to see your attitude."
"From now on, we're friends." Lin Xiaoxiao took the initiative to shake her hand.
The woman was instantly delighted.
As the two returned to the private room hand in hand, Lin Xiaoxiao stopped in her tracks upon hearing the sounds coming from inside.
"Go play with them, I'm going to find Lyle and Evan."
