"Eat as much as you like, don't be shy." Qin Jinye smiled throughout, as if he wasn't angry about Yao Huixian at all.
Yao Huixian felt the same way.
"Old Qin, I told my dad we're going home tonight, is that okay?"
Anyway, Qin Yushen and Lin Xiaoxiao were just here for lunch. They didn't have time to go back to their parents' home at noon, but they would have time in the evening.
Qin Jinye glanced at her and said, "Okay."
At this moment, Qin Huaijun suddenly looked at Lin Xiaoxiao and said, "Isn't it the second day of the Lunar New Year when we go back to our parents' home? Why isn't my sister-in-law going back?"
The moment those words were spoken, the dinner table fell silent.
Qin Jinye frowned almost imperceptibly.
“Oh dear, Huaijun, don’t you know? Your sister-in-law was picked up by her adoptive parents from next to a trash can. Now she’s cut off all ties with her adoptive parents. She has no family home left.”
Yao Huixian said with a hint of schadenfreude.
"Smack!"
Qin Yushen slammed down his chopsticks, and was about to say something when Lin Xiaoxiao pulled him back.
"I do not have a family to rely on, but..." She still had a smile on her face, but her gaze towards Yao Huixian was somewhat piercing.
"I can't guarantee whether Qin Huaiyi will have a mother in the future."
Mentioning Qin Huaiyi is like stabbing Yao Huixian in the heart with a knife.
Just as Yao Huixian was about to erupt, Qin Huaijun swiftly pressed her down.
"If you cause any more trouble, you won't get to eat here," Qin Jinye said, glancing at the mother and son.
Qin Huaijun gritted his teeth in resentment, thinking to himself that his father was indeed ruthless.
Not long ago, they were grooming him as their successor, but as soon as Qin Yushen returned, they abandoned him.
That's really ruthless.
Lin Xiaoxiao, munching on a duck leg, described him with one word: "clown."
Under Qin Jinye's suppression, Yao Huixian and Qin Huaijun dared not cause any more trouble.
The meal was quite pleasant.
Just as they were about to leave after eating and drinking their fill, Lin Xiaoxiao suddenly remembered something, turned around and said to Qin Jinye, "Dad, Happy New Year!"
Qin Jinye was stunned for a moment, then came to his senses and took out three red envelopes from his pocket and gave them to her. "One for you and one for Yu Shen, and the other one is for my grandson."
"Granddaughter." Qin Yushen said the first words he had spoken to Qin Jinye since stepping into the Qin family.
Qin Jinye: "My grandchildren are all doing well."
Actually, he would prefer a grandson, so that the old man wouldn't waver anymore.
Qin Yu didn't care what the old man thought. If the old man had been talking about a child, he wouldn't have cared so much, but the old man was talking about his grandson.
What if it really is a baby girl? Now that she can move around, she can definitely understand what adults are saying.
She would definitely be heartbroken if she heard that the adults only hoped for a boy.
"Then we're off, Dad." During the Lunar New Year, Lin Xiaoxiao would give everyone a friendly look, except for a few disgusting people.
Including Qin Jinye.
"Be careful on the road, and come back often when you have time," Qin Jinye said.
Qin Yushen helped Lin Xiaoxiao walk out. When they passed Qin Huaijun, he kicked him in the back of the knee, making him stumble.
"Qin Yushen!!!" Qin Huaijun almost bumped into the sharp corner of the cabinet. Looking at the sharp corner that was so close, he broke out in a cold sweat.
She turned around and glared angrily at Qin Yushen, trembling with rage.
“You little bastard, you…” Yao Huixian saw her son being kicked and lunged at him, ready to tear him apart, but Qin Jinye stopped her.
Qin Yu said coldly, "Your mother has a foul mouth, so you'll have to suffer for her."
After saying that, he ignored Yao Huixian's angry roar and left with Lin Xiaoxiao.
After finally calming down, Yao Huixian pulled her son aside to check him over with heartache, "Are you alright, son? Why doesn't that little bastard just die?"
"Shut up!" Qin Jinye roared, his face extremely grim.
He gave Yao Huixian a cold look and said, "You curse my son to my face, Yao Huixian, you've got guts."
After saying that, he went upstairs.
"Who told that little bastard to kick my son first?" Yao Huixian said righteously.
Qin Huaijun, however, felt that Qin Jinye was making a mountain out of a molehill today.
"Dad is angry. Mom, you should go and explain. We're going to Grandpa's house this afternoon, and it's not good for Dad to have such a cold face."
Yao Huixian slapped her thigh and said, "Right, we can't let your dad take his emotions to your maternal grandfather's house. I'll go up and check on him."
Qin Jinye rarely gets angry; if he does get angry occasionally, he'll be fine after a while.
Therefore, Yao Huixian did not think it was a big deal.
"Old Qin, open the door." Yao Huixian knocked on the bedroom door for a while, but Qin Jinye didn't open it for her, so he could only call out to her.
After calling three times, Qin Jinye's voice finally came from inside.
"Call me when you're leaving, now get lost."
roll?
Qin Jinye actually told her to get lost.
Yao Huixian exploded, kicking the door shut and yelling, "Old Qin, what do you mean? You're telling me to get out? Let me tell you, this isn't over..."
He let her rage outside the door, while Qin Jinye inside remained unmoved.
Ten minutes later, Yao Huixian went to find Qin Huaijun, looking flustered. "What should we do? Your dad seems really angry."
This was the first time she had ever seen Qin Jinye so angry in all the years she had been married to him.
Qin Huaijun glanced at the closed door and whispered, "Dad is a man who knows his limits and cares a lot about his reputation. Even if he's angry, he won't make a scene in front of Grandpa. Let him be angry."
Yao Huixian thought about it and realized that made sense.
"Fine, then I won't bother with it anymore."
Go downstairs, open the locked cabinet door, and take out all the bags and packages inside, placing them on the table so you won't forget them when you leave.
I remembered that my neighbor said that a relative had brought them a lot of local specialties from the south, and they couldn't even finish eating them all.
