"A mission? Could it be about Country E sending military data to Country Vietnam?"

Jeff wasn't interested in those topics now; he only asked, "Where did that missing Chinese man go?"
His companions laughed at his unusual focus.
But he still said, "It seems they were taken away by a gang called the Co-Prosperity Sphere."
Jeff's heart skipped a beat.
Lin Xiaoxiao only asked him to find out where her brother was, but didn't say she would help her rescue him.
That should count as completing the mission.

Jeff found Lin Xiaoxiao and told her the news. Lin Xiaoxiao took out the pills and gave them to him without hesitation.
Jeff was quite surprised by this straightforward attitude.
After taking the medicine, Jeff was about to leave when Lin Xiaoxiao suddenly called him back.
Jeff's body trembled; he knew Lin Xiaoxiao wasn't going to be so kind as to let him off the hook.
