Chapter 41 The Thief is Caught in the Riddled Textile Factory

"Bang!"

In the dimly lit alley, the sounds of fists landing with flesh were enough to send chills down one's spine.

"Who ordered you to do this?" Lin Xiaoxiao grabbed the man's neck, her round, large eyes narrowed, radiating a chilling light.

Her breathing was blocked, and the man desperately pried her hands off.

Upon closer inspection, the man's left leg is abnormally bent, as if it had been broken off while he was still alive.

He was making hoarse noises, and his otherwise ordinary face was filled with pain.

He could barely breathe, so he nodded with all his might. Lin Xiaoxiao threw him to the ground and said coldly, "Speak."

The man looked at her as if she were a demon crawling out of hell.

"Three women, I...I don't know them."

Men also do things for money.

I never expected to fail.

Lin Xiaoxiao was not satisfied with his answer, "Specific characteristics."

The man noticed her impatience and quickly said, "One is pretty, one is ugly, and the remaining one... looks like a maid."

When he said the word "maid," he looked around, afraid that someone might overhear and report him.

The terms used to refer to feudal society, when used in modern terms, require education.

Seeing this, Lin Xiaoxiao knew she wouldn't get any information out of him.

Three women were unexpected; she had thought there would only be Zhao Mei, the one with the most cunning, but there were two more.

Since she apologized and ran away last time, Lin Xiaoxiao has never seen Zhao Mei again. It seems she's been holding back her evil intentions and planning to teach her a lesson.

If that's the case, then she'll gladly oblige.

After returning home, Lin Xiaoxiao told Qin Yushen about it.

"Zhao Mei?" Qin Yu uttered these two words in a flat, emotionless tone.

The calmer the surface, the more turbulent the undercurrents.

His cold gaze was devoid of any emotion.

He said casually, "I'll teach her a lesson for you."

Lin Xiaoxiao had no such idea. "Who does she think she is? She doesn't need your help. I want to have a good talk with her."

Dealing with Zhao Mei would be easy, but she was very curious about the two women behind her.

There will always be a meeting.

Qin Yushen outwardly agreed not to interfere, but then turned around and got rid of Zhao Mei's job.

Upon learning that Zhao Mei had lost her job, she caused quite a scene at the affiliated primary school. The school principal, who had been putting up with her for a long time, finally spoke to Commander Zhao about her truancy, insulting of little girls, and creating conflict between men and women.

Commander Zhao felt heartbroken and indignant.

My daughter, who was so cute when she was little, has completely turned out badly.

He was busy with military affairs and had to attend meetings at the General Military Region from time to time, so he had no time to take care of his children.

Let He Meng keep a close eye on things during this time.

We can't let her go out and cause trouble.

The day after Commander Zhao went to the General Military Region, Zhao Mei secretly slipped away and ran to her brother's house in the city, refusing to return.

Ever since He Meng secretly gave money to Zhao Yu, Zhao Mei has lost the warmth she used to show her stepmother.

After being rejected twice, He Meng, who was already proud, gave up on trying to please her stepdaughter.

Zhao Mei sneaked away, but instead of chasing after her, she thought she would wait for Commander Zhao to return so she could give him a good scolding.

Textile factory.

Lin Xiaoxiao and her team staked out the place for four days and finally caught the thief.

As is customary, Lin Xiaoxiao accompanied the section chief on patrols within the textile factory premises, primarily focusing on the situation within the factory area.

Behind the factory area was an abandoned old warehouse, which was requisitioned by the sewing machine factory across the street to store miscellaneous items. The factory then locked the iron gate between the old warehouse and the factory area.

This place could also become a passage for thieves to sneak in and out.

The section chief was fairly intelligent; he patrolled the area every day without missing a beat, but he never found anything amiss. He even checked the lock on the gate repeatedly and searched for rat holes.

For example, today, the section chief checked the gate and lock as usual and found nothing wrong.

Just as he was about to leave with Lin Xiaoxiao, Lin Xiaoxiao suddenly called out to him.

"etc."

"Something's up?" The section chief instantly became alert, his hand reaching for his lower back.

As the head of the security department, the department head is entitled to carry a gun.

Lin Xiaoxiao looked at the lock, and under the section chief's puzzled gaze, she grabbed the lock ring and pressed it gently. With a click, the lock opened directly.

Section Chief: "!!??"

He glanced at Lin Xiaoxiao, and the two exchanged a look.

The section chief said seriously, "I'll go and call everyone over."

There are four people on patrol tonight, divided into two groups. It's still unclear how many thieves there are. The section chief thinks it's safer to call everyone over.

Lin Xiaoxiao put the lock back to its original position, her ears twitched, and she whispered, "It's too late, let's hide first."

Since we're going to arrest someone, we should catch them red-handed.

Like a monkey, Lin Xiaoxiao climbed up the tree and observed the activity at the old warehouse through the gaps in the leaves.

The section chief reacted quickly, hiding behind a tree.

The two men perfectly concealed themselves, and within minutes, they pulled off the lock and completely opened the dilapidated gate.

Just when the section chief and Lin Xiaoxiao thought the two would go to the workshop to steal something, the two leaned against the gate and chatted casually.

"How much longer do we have to wait? It's creepy at night, I feel like something is watching us."

"Don't scare me."

What followed contained little information, and Lin Xiaoxiao almost fell asleep listening to it.

There was another commotion below.

The drizzle sounded like someone urinating, but Lin Xiaoxiao didn't lower her head, leaning against a tree branch to look at the moon.

Only after the sound disappeared did she lower her head. The man with the belt on his pants turned around, and behind him, separated by a tree, the section chief's face was as black as ink.

It seems like it's been baptized a bit.
