Lin Xiaoxiao's gaze swept over his somewhat stiff left shoulder. "You're injured."
She smelled blood.
Tan Yan glanced at his shoulder and said nonchalantly, "It's just a minor injury, nothing serious."
"Oh." Seeing his response, Lin Xiaoxiao didn't press further.
The atmosphere froze. Tan Yan's eyes flickered slightly, and he said seemingly unintentionally, "Qin Yushen... should be coming back soon too."
Lin Xiaoxiao laughed and said, "His missions are all military secrets, I don't know anything about them."
Tan Yan knew he had been a bit presumptuous in saying that, but he didn't know what topic to bring up.
