As darkness fell, the train left the area around Jiangcheng and entered Tongcheng.
With the train set to stop at Tongcheng Station in ten minutes, the two men in the carriage finally got to work.
"Open the window to let in some fresh air, it's too stuffy."

The car window was opened, and a cold wind rushed into the carriage, instantly waking everyone up.

Such laughter sounded so eerie in the dead of night.
Zhao Mei hugged herself tightly, "Qingqing, where are we going?"
Zhao Qingqing sat down next to her. "Go to Yangcheng. My grandma and brother are there. As long as we get to Yangcheng smoothly, I can change my identity and return to Jiangcheng again."
"Give it back?" Zhao Mei asked in surprise.
A ruthless glint flashed in Zhao Qingqing's eyes. "Don't you want revenge, Aunt? My father and your brother were sentenced to life imprisonment because of that bitch Lin Xiaoxiao."
"I can't quell my hatred without killing her."
As Zhao Mei thought of her brother who had always doted on her, hatred gradually welled up in her heart.

"Chirp chirp~" A brightly colored bird flew over the two of them and perched on a tree not far from them, its dark eyes watching them.
"Where did this dead bird come from? It's terrifying!"

The two got up and strode forward in the darkness.
