Chapter 1254 A Dead End!

Luo Tianhe rolled his eyes upon hearing this: "Nonsense, of course I know!"

"I'm afraid that if I go along that main road, I'll encounter villagers lining up to jump off the cliff. It's said that people who see it will unconsciously follow them and jump down with them!"

"While you were wandering around the village, Li Huai and I were also busy getting to know the road conditions here."

"I see."

I breathed a sigh of relief; I had just been too nervous.

Luo Tianhe walked very fast, probably wanting to leave this strange place as soon as possible.

After walking for a while, I felt something was wrong:

"Wait a minute, aren't we about three or four miles from the village?"

"This is a side road, isn't it normal to take a longer route?"

Luo Tianhe remained calm.

I didn't notice anything unusual in Luo Tianhe's expression, but something still felt off.

Suddenly, I stopped in my tracks.

"What's wrong? Keep going, we're almost there!"

Seeing that I had stopped, Luo Tianhe urged me on.

I stared intently into his eyes.

"Luo Tianhe, why are you wearing your coat?"

"Yeah, those villagers are busy jumping off the cliff right now, so my light is useless."

"Hurry up, we're almost there!"

Luo Tianhe offered a casual explanation, then continued to urge him on.

I suddenly lifted Luo Tianhe's coat, only to find that there was no red rope or copper coin underneath!

As I moved, bits of rotten flesh fell to the ground, and white maggots rolled around on the floor!

"You were just a few steps away! Why didn't you move?! Why didn't you move?!"

Luo Tianhe roared, no longer maintaining his human form, but instead turning into a pile of rotten flesh that writhed and surged toward me.

"Fuck you!"

I suddenly activated my third eye and discovered that what was in front of me was not the way back, but clearly a cliff!

If I take another ten steps, I'll fall and be smashed to pieces!

Instantly, large beads of cold sweat streamed down my forehead.

Escaping from Ma'ya Village made me feel a little relaxed, but that relaxed feeling almost cost me my life!

I lit a yellow talisman, flicked two fingers, and it turned into a stream of light that ignited the writhing, rotting flesh on the ground!

I spat and ran back the way I came.

We soon arrived at the village entrance again!

This time, I didn't hesitate at all and ran back the way I came.

Finally, dragging my exhausted body, I saw the black Wuling Hongguang.

"Chen Yan, why are you taking so long to come out? We've been waiting for you for ages!"

Upon seeing me, Luo Tianhe shouted excitedly.

"Get in the car quickly, let's get out of this weird place."

Hearing those familiar words, I suddenly felt a chill run from my toes all the way to the top of my head!

"Is this never going to end?!"

I yanked open the car door, wrapped my hand with the yellow talisman, and punched the bewildered Luo Tianhe!

The next moment, my fist was clenched tightly.

"Holy crap, Chen Yan, are you possessed by a ghost?!"

Luo Tianhe looked at me with some confusion.

Upon seeing this, Li Huai quickly explained:

“Brother Yan, it’s not that we abandoned you and ran away. We searched for you in the village for a long time but couldn’t find you. It was getting dark, so we had no choice but to come here and wait for you.”

Seeing that Luo Tianhe, who was holding the yellow talisman, did not react, I knew that I had misunderstood.

"Let go, I'm sober now."

Luo Tianhe released his hand with some doubt.

I rubbed my wrist. Luo Tianhe, that brute, is really strong; he pulled my wrist so hard it hurt.

I rolled my eyes and said irritably:

"Back in the village, you wouldn't wear clothes no matter how much we asked you, but now you're wearing them?"

"This beat-up van doesn't even have heating; I'll freeze to death if I'm not wearing any clothes!"

Luo Tianhe tightened his collar and explained.

It's really chilly at night in these deep mountains and forests.

"But what exactly happened to you just now?"

Luo Tianhe was somewhat curious.

I recounted what had just happened to them, and they finally understood why I had suddenly gone berserk.

"This ghost, its imitation is just like the real thing!"

Luo Tianhe was both amused and exasperated.

"Let's go quickly, I keep feeling creeped out."

Li Huai urged, he was really scared. Compared to these ghosts who would pretend to be human and trick people into dying, the ghosts he had met before who only knew how to scare people were actually very kind!

Luo Tianhe immediately turned the car around, and none of the three of us mentioned waiting for Bai Linfeng.

That damn cliff concealed important information. If he lives, great; if he dies, so be it. Nobody wants to wait for him!

Luo Tianhe skillfully shifted gears and started the engine; this Wuling minivan was an automatic.

"Young men, why are you in such a hurry to leave? The chickens have already been killed!"

The three of us turned around abruptly. Uncle Ma was standing not far away, smiling broadly, smoking his pipe, and his clothes were clean.

"Old ghost, you can keep that diseased chicken for yourself!"

Luo Tianhe roared, wishing he could stomp his foot into the gas tank, and the engine roared to life, the car bumping and jolting as it drove back the way it came!

"careful!"

I shouted,

Ahead stood a densely packed group of figures, their faces bearing eerie smiles. As we approached, their smiles grew wider and wider, eventually reaching almost to their ears!

"Fuck your mother!"

Luo Tianhe didn't slow down at all, and rammed into it with a fierce expression!

Suddenly, it felt like we'd plunged into a cesspool. Pus, rotting flesh, and maggots filled the car windows. Li Huai and I turned pale, but thankfully we were sitting in the back.

Luo Tianhe forced himself to suppress the urge to vomit and turned on the windshield wipers, which allowed him to barely see the road ahead.
