"The anti-prostitution squad has arrived?"
Luo Tianhe looked incredulous, thinking he had misheard: "Don't you usually give us advance notice?"
Sister Hei also looked bewildered, saying she was puzzled as to how those people got the information and managed to surround the area so completely.
She had just watched them start arresting people downstairs; several of the girls were too slow and were caught on the spot.
"Grass!"
Luo Tianhe cursed and rubbed his temples, looking exasperated. "We haven't even finished dealing with our own problems, and now we've got this on our hands!"
Then he asked Blackie, "Are you sure it's the anti-prostitution squad? Or is someone deliberately causing trouble?"
Sister Hei nodded hurriedly: "It must be. I saw them show their badges, and Brother Li was leading the team."
Upon hearing that it was Brother Li, Luo Tianhe immediately breathed a sigh of relief: "Let's go down and take a look."
I quickly grabbed him and said something was wrong; he seemed to have ill intentions.
Luo Tianhe waved his hand dismissively: "What's wrong with it? It's a crackdown on prostitution, it's normal! I guess the new leaders have been transferred here and the targets are tight, so they want to achieve something, which is why they suddenly pulled this stunt. Every time a new official takes office, they like to make a fuss, pay a fine or something, and that's it."
Before he could finish speaking, a cacophony of shouts and chaotic footsteps erupted from downstairs.
Judging from this, the anti-prostitution team has already started searching the upper floors.
Luo Tianhe turned to Sister Hei and quickly instructed, "Sister Hei, you quickly tell the guests and the girls who haven't been caught to hide. Make sure they don't get caught. Lead them out the back door, and I'll go down and deal with them."
Even though Luo Tianhe made these arrangements, I still felt uneasy, as if things weren't that simple.
The anti-prostitution squad arrived just as things were getting out of hand.
Why did it have to happen at this exact moment?
While Black Bear and Sister Black were busy evacuating the guests and girls, Luo Tianhe and I hurried downstairs.
As soon as I came down one floor, I saw a burly middle-aged man in uniform, who was solemnly directing his men to arrest people.
Luo Tianhe walked up with a big smile, offered him a cigarette, and greeted him warmly, "Brother Li, long time no see! What brings you here today?"
Brother Li took the cigarette and replied with a smile, "Brother Luo, I'm really sorry. Well, the higher-ups have a new leader who has given a strict order to crack down on this area. We brothers have no choice but to work to make a living. We'll have to rely on you to put up with us."
Luo Tianhe nodded and hummed in understanding: "Brother Li, I understand. It's all for work. I will definitely cooperate as needed. I just hope that Brother Li can take care of us. These are just small businesses and can't afford to be taken advantage of."
Brother Li patted Luo Tianhe on the shoulder: "Don't worry, Brother Luo, as long as you cooperate, you'll just pay a fine and that'll be the end of it. Your man won't suffer in there!"
Seeing them chatting and laughing, and even offering each other cigarettes, I felt a little more at ease.
Perhaps, as Luo Tianhe said, I'm overthinking it.
Luo Tianhe exchanged pleasantries with Brother Li while leading the way.
As I walked, I realized something was wrong.
Two police officers were following me closely. They seemed casual, but the close proximity made me very uncomfortable.
People generally feel comfortable maintaining a distance of about one meter from each other.
But they were less than half a meter away from me, and I was immediately struck by their oppressive and presumptuous manner.
Moreover, that sense of oppression felt more like it was controlling me.
After walking about ten meters, I felt even more uneasy.
Isn't this a task being carried out by the anti-prostitution squad?
As we passed those rooms, there was clearly movement inside, but they acted as if they hadn't heard anything and walked straight toward the direction where we were holding Old Man Zhao.

He slammed his right fist into his abdomen.
The punch landed squarely on his stomach, causing him to clutch his abdomen and stumble back several steps in pain.
Before I could even catch my breath, the officer on my right grabbed my waist tightly while my attention was on my left.
Immediately afterwards, he freed one hand and quickly pulled out handcuffs from his waist, intending to cuff my wrists.
At the critical moment, Luo Tianhe leaped high into the air and kicked the police officer hard in the stomach.
He was kicked flying.
"Run!"
Luo Tianhe grabbed her and turned to run.
From behind came Brother Li's furious shout: "Chase them! Don't let them get away!"
