Chapter 502 Puppet Soul Manipulation

These vengeful ghost sculptures all have blue faces and fangs, somewhat like illustrations from mythological stories.

However, just one glance at it makes my scalp tingle.

If I didn't lack the Earth Soul, I'd probably be terrified by now.

"Senior, what is this?"

I pointed to the seven sculptures and asked Zhang Yongnian, "I feel that these things are definitely not just simple sculptures of vengeful ghosts."

"You figured it out?"

Zhang Yongnian was full of admiration; clearly, my performance had exceeded his expectations.

"Wait, where's Lao Dao?"

I hadn't noticed Lao Dao until I walked past Zhang Yongnian, and that's when I finally saw him.

Old Dao is in very bad condition. He has even removed the black cloth that was covering his eyes.

His eyes were covered in blood; he looked blind.

"Old Dao, are you alright?"

I rushed to Lao Dao's side and checked his injuries.

Old Dao's condition was not good. Although only his eyes were injured, his life force was becoming increasingly weak.

I can feel that sense of life constantly slipping away.

"Senior, what about Old Dao?"

I looked at Zhang Yongnian, hoping he could find a way to save Lao Dao.

Firstly, after spending so much time together, Lao Dao has become a good partner of mine.

Secondly, Old Knife's blood is still useful to me. If I die like this, I will always be missing something when facing powerful enemies in the future.

Zhang Yongnian sighed: "I told you before, don't open your eyes. I even prepared strips of cloth for you."

He'd die the moment he opened his eyes; I warned him!

"Brother Chen, I couldn't hold back. Alas, I can't be with you until the end!"

Because Lao Dao is blind, he kept groping for me. I grabbed his hand and quickly comforted him, "It's okay, Lao Dao, I'm here. Speak slowly, there's no rush!"

After hearing what I said, Lao Dao burst into tears. Perhaps at that moment, he also sensed the approach of death.

I helped Lao Dao lie down so he could rest.

Old Dao's lips moved, and he called out "Brother Chen" again. As the saying goes, a dying man's words are kind.

Now, Lao Dao probably wants to tell me some secrets he hasn't told me before.

"He was originally doomed, but I never expected that you would have the ability to see the heavens!"

Just when I thought there was no way to save Lao Dao, Zhang Yongnian spoke up.

The words "Sky Eye" gave me hope.

I turned around excitedly to Zhang Yongnian: "Senior, what should I do?"

Old Dao's chest heaved continuously; he probably hadn't expected that he too would be saved.

"Brother Chen, what is the Heavenly Eye? How did you open it?"

Old Dao doesn't seem as afraid of death as he used to be.

"Old Dao, is there something you want to tell me?"

I was still a little unwilling to give up; I knew Lao Dao had been hiding something from me.

"No, I just wanted to say that Brother Chen, you're so kind!"

Old Dao's lips twitched, forcing out an ugly smile.

I laughed and cursed back, then looked at Zhang Yongnian.

"Okay, now close your eyes and try to find that feeling from before, find the vital point in his heart!"

Zhang Yongnian raised his voice considerably, especially emphasizing the words "life gate".

Although I don't know exactly what Zhang Yongnian meant by "vital point," I guess it's something unique about Lao Dao.

As long as I can see the same vibrant colors as before, the most unique one should be the vital point.

I closed my eyes and tried to recapture that feeling from before. It took me about three minutes before I was able to fully perceive my surroundings.

I sensed Old Knife and could vaguely see his body, as well as two small things near his heart.

One on the left and one on the right, forming a symmetrical shape.

One is red, and the other is green.

"See that? It should be in the heart!"

Zhang Yongnian urged.

I nodded and told Zhang Yongnian that I had seen two things, describing their location and size to him.

Upon hearing this, Zhang Yongnian exclaimed, "Two? How come there are two?"

"There are definitely two, no mistake!"

I took another look, and there were indeed two of them, and they were still moving.

"Senior, why have these two things been floating around, and now they've changed positions again!"

I find it very strange; these two things are behaving rather abnormally.

Zhang Yongnian said irritably, "If you don't move, what's the point of having my Heavenly Eye!"

Then, Zhang Yongnian took out a small dagger and tossed it to me.

"Hmm, use your third eye to locate the spot, and stab that vital point with this dagger!"

"Um, senior, what if my brother Chen poked the wrong spot?"

Although Lao Dao had his eyes closed, he still heard Zhang Yongnian say that he had stabbed Zhang Yongnian in the heart with a dagger.

As he was speaking, he urinated again.

"You poked the wrong spot? Of course you're dead! Of course, even if you didn't poke it, you'd still die. Think about it!"

Zhang Yongnian and Lao Dao didn't mince words; they spoke their minds directly.

This left Lao Dao speechless.

"Don't worry, if you do well this time, you'll have a great opportunity. Maybe you'll even be able to master that technique!"

Zhang Yongnian became more and more excited as he spoke.

That technique?

I was a little suspicious. Although Zhang Yongnian didn't say it, it certainly wasn't something simple.

"Come on, Brother Chen!"

Old Dao gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, looking like he couldn't poop.
