Seeing that Su Mingyang had no intention of attacking, she quickly climbed onto his back.
He held a kitchen knife to Su Mingyang's chin and shouted, "Su Mingyang, how did you die?! What does Xiao He want from me?"
Su Mingyang stared at me with his only eye, his gaze blank.
"I...I'm dead?"
I was stunned. Did he not know he was already dead?
This situation usually only occurs in people who have just died, when they are still in a dazed and confused state.
But Su Mingyang is clearly a vengeful ghost, so how come he doesn't even know if he's dead or not?
Before I could even ask anything, his body suddenly began to disintegrate, turning into countless firefly-like specks of light that flickered and drifted in the air.
Then it quickly coalesced into an even more twisted and terrifying humanoid shape.
Just as I was filled with doubt, the Guixu Guide placed to the side suddenly burst into flames without warning.
The bluish-black flames, carrying a putrid stench, spread rapidly within the flames.
"Am I dead? Am I dead? Am I dead?"
Su Mingyang looked extremely pained, repeatedly uttering the same words.
"Yes, you're dead. You're dead. Now tell me how you died, who killed you, was it Xiao He?"
I asked loudly.
No sooner had I finished speaking than I noticed Su Mingyang suddenly raise his head and lunge at me with both hands outstretched.
Instinctively, I raised the kitchen knife and swung it at him.
The blade grazed his temple, leaving a deep scorch mark on the ground.
However, Su Mingyang seemed completely unafraid, his body instantly splitting into countless tiny black shadows.
Each of the shadowy figures had the exact same face as him, and they surged towards me in droves, surrounding me completely.
Just at this critical moment, a loud shout suddenly came from behind me: "Head down!"
I instinctively lowered my head, and a gust of wind came from behind me.
When he looked up again, he saw a sharp knife wrapped in red cloth aimed at Su Mingyang's face.
"Use your blood!"
Liu Sandao's voice boomed in my ears: "Quickly activate the Return to Nothingness Guide with your blood and send him away!"
"But I haven't asked it yet."
"Stop asking! He won't answer any of your questions. He's not a normal philanderer. Get rid of him!"
As Liu Sandao's entire body was enveloped in black energy, the faces around Su Mingyang began to frantically tear at Liu Sandao's body.
Without thinking twice, I bit my middle finger and dripped the blood into the ceramic bowl.
As the blood droplets fell, the Guixu Yin suddenly boiled violently, and many black hairs appeared on the surface of the soup, stirring wildly in the soup as if they were alive.
"Gurgle, gurgle!"
The soup began to boil, bubbling continuously.
"Pour the Guixu Distillate into his mouth!"
Liu Sandao roared, grabbed Su Mingyang's collar with his left hand, and with a push of his right foot, used the force to flip over Su Mingyang's back.
Her feet were locked tightly around Su Mingyang's hands like a cross, forcibly prying open his mouth.
Without any hesitation, I poured the Guixu Yin into Su Mingyang's mouth.
As the Guixu channeled in, Su Mingyang let out a final shriek, and with an unknown force, he flung Liu Sandao away.
Just as Su Mingyang was about to rush towards me, I had already raised the kitchen knife in my hand.
But just as he rushed up to me and hadn't taken more than a few steps, he was suddenly sucked into the bowl by a powerful force.
At the same time, the seal script on the bottom of the bowl emitted a dazzling red light, clearly revealing the three blood-red characters "scapegoat".
scapegoat?
But I no longer had the chance to ask any further questions, because Su Mingyang had completely disappeared.
"Someone used witchcraft to make him take my place... cough cough..."
Hearing Liu Sandao's voice, I realized that he had fallen down beside me at some point.
His right hand was twisted at an odd angle in the opposite direction, while his left hand was tightly gripping his throat.
"Brother Liu!"
I shook his body violently.
To his horror, he discovered that his skin was aging rapidly at a visible rate, wrinkles had crept all over his face, and his hair had turned snow-white in an instant.
"No...don't touch me!"
Liu Sandao struggled to speak: "I've been poisoned by the curse, go...go..."
Before he could finish speaking, I saw his pupils dilate and his breath grow weaker and weaker.
"Brother Liu!"
When I saw that something was wrong with him, I quickly carried him on my back and ran towards the hospital.
Although he arrived at the hospital, Liu Sandao's breathing remained unstable, and he remained unconscious.
They've been in the ICU for several hours now, with doctors and nurses going in and out, but there's still no result.
As I paced back and forth in the corridor, unsure of what to do, a woman's voice suddenly came from behind me.
How long has he been inside?
When I turned my head, I saw a middle-aged woman dressed very simply, probably in her thirties.
Because there were quite a few people standing around me, I assumed she wasn't talking to me, so after glancing at her, I ignored her.
"You're Chen Yan, right? How long has Liu Sandao been in there?"
Seeing that I didn't reply, she asked again.
"Well……"
I thought she was Liu Sandao's wife, so I quickly said that she had been inside for more than four hours and had not come out yet.
After I finished speaking, I added apologetically, "Sister-in-law, I'm really sorry. It's all my fault. If it weren't for my brother Liu, he wouldn't have suffered this calamity."
