Immediately, Luo Tianhe's expression froze. He turned his neck halfway around and stared intently at me.
"If you're not Luo Tianhe, then who are you?"
I'm a little numb. This Anning Girls' High School is really incredibly strange. I've been using my third eye the whole time, and I still didn't notice that Luo Tianhe had been switched.
After a moment's thought, I realized that Luo Tianhe had probably woken up Li Huai and then been switched with someone else after re-entering the dormitory building.
"Who else could he be but Luo Tianhe? Bai Yang, open the door quickly."
Like Luo Tianhe, "Li Huai" standing to the side wore a strange smile and shouted into the doorway.
Immediately, Bai Yang inside froze as he opened the door, a look of fear appearing on his face.
Damn it, still pretending!
I don't know what Bai Yang's situation is like inside, but I'm definitely getting angry.
Luo Tianhe isn't left-handed, and his right hand wasn't injured, so why would he inexplicably knock on the door with his left hand, and knock four times!
"When a man knocks three times, a ghost knocks four times." Luo Tianhe couldn't possibly be unaware of this rule, so this guy in front of him is definitely a fake!
Seeing me reach into my pocket to take something out, "Luo Tianhe" and "Li Huai" dropped their pretense and reached out to grab me.
I ducked and rolled backward to dodge their sudden attack, while simultaneously pulling a three-edged bone needle from my pocket and sneering:
"I'd like to see if you can still utter any nonsense even if we sew your mouths shut!"
If the ghosts are fierce, you must be even fiercer than them!
I bit my tongue, and a mouthful of blood spurted onto the bone needle.
Immediately, "Luo Tianhe" and "Li Huai" turned and ran.
"It's too late to run now!"
There weren't any fancy needlework techniques or anything. I was just like a thug wielding a fruit knife, chasing after them and stabbing them!
As the bone needles pierced their bodies, a shrill female scream rang out, and acrid smoke rose into the air.
Seeing them turn into ashes, I snorted coldly, "Is that all you've got?"
It seems that what blinded me was not these two kids, but this dormitory building, or rather, this Anning Girls' High School!
I ignored Bai Yang and quickly ran downstairs. When I saw Li Huai and Luo Tianhe standing motionless downstairs in a daze, I breathed a sigh of relief.
I thought for a moment, then took out a talisman, took Luo Tianhe's hand, pricked it with a bone needle to draw blood, and then wrote Luo Tianhe's name and birth date on the talisman. After lighting it, I stuck it on his forehead.
Then, following the same method, they also affixed a yellow talisman to Li Huai.
My grandfather told me that what happens to them is called "losing one's soul."
A person's soul is not a single entity, but rather composed of three souls and seven spirits. When encountering extreme fright or collision, a part of the soul may escape out of fear.
The most obvious sign is that people stand still, as if they've gone mad.
The worst thing you can do at a time like this is to wake them up directly!
If you do that, although it may only appear as restlessness and persistent lethargy, without a complete soul, the consequences will be endless!
Especially for those of them who are prone to encountering ghosts and have a heavy yin energy, there's no guarantee that one day they won't be taken over by wandering spirits and ghosts, replacing their missing souls.
After the yellow talisman burned, Li Huai and his companion shuddered, as if waking from a nightmare.
Luo Tianhe punched his head a few times to quickly clear his head, then looked at me:
"Chen Yan, what happened just now? Didn't we just come out of the ghost wall? I feel like I just went to Lao Dao's place."
"Me too, but I feel like I've gone back to the orphanage. What's going on?"
Li Huai wiped the ash off his face and quickly asked a question.
I told them what had just happened, and they were immediately filled with fear. Li Huai looked miserable.
"I'll never come here again, even if you kill me!"
Luo Tianhe nodded in deep agreement.
"If you come at me again, I'll be a dog!"
"Alright, alright, let's go upstairs and see Bai Yang. Stop interrupting us. Have you forgotten our purpose?"
I was speechless. Anning Girls' High School wasn't as scary as they said. Besides, I had a feeling we would definitely come back here again.
Arriving at 309, I looked at Luo Tianhe.
"Don't just stand there, knock on the door."
"Can't you knock it yourself?"
Luo Tianhe muttered something and then banged on the door.
It was less like knocking and more like smashing the door.
"If you break something, you should pay for it. Why did you have to use so much force?"
I was speechless.
"Is it...is it you?"
Bai Yang's timid voice came from inside the room.
"It's us, from the funeral home. Open the door."
With a creak, the door opened, and Bai Yang's eyes were red-rimmed, as if he had been crying for a long time.
Who was knocking on the door just now?
I understood what she meant, and calmly replied:
"Oh, it's a ghost. Remember, people knock three times and ghosts knock four times. If someone knocks on the door four times in the middle of the night, it must be a ghost. Don't open the door."
Bai Yang nodded vigorously. I activated my third eye and discovered that the female ghost behind her seemed to have an even stronger resentment.
"By the way, isn't this a four-person dormitory? Why are you the only one living here?"
"More than that, Chen Yan, haven't you noticed? It seems like she's the only one living in this building."
Luo Tianhe chimed in from the side.
My body stiffened, and a chill ran straight to the top of my head.
We were banging on doors and breaking formations there just now, making quite a commotion. How could no one have come to watch the excitement?
"I don't know either, but what are you talking about? Even though I live alone in my dorm, there are quite a few people living in the building, aren't there?"
Upon hearing this, not only I, but also Luo Tianhe and Li Huai realized something was amiss.
They're both almost in tears now. When will this ever end? Will they even be able to leave here alive today?
I looked at the woman behind Bai Yang. She gave me a strange smile, as if she understood what we were afraid of.
I broke out in a cold sweat. I was a little confused about the situation. I forced an awkward smile.
"Bai Yang, is there anyone else here?"
Bai Yang pointed to the empty corridor behind us.
"Isn't everyone there?"
I turned my head, activated my third eye, and looked several times, but I didn't see a single ghost.
This makes me wonder if Bai Yang has been scared out of his wits and gone insane.
"Oh dear, stop looking! They're here to exorcise the ghost for me!"
Bai Yang ran into the corridor, muttered to himself, and then slammed the door shut.
Luo Tianhe and Li Huai sat down on the ground, their eyes vacant, thinking, "Whatever."
"Master, please help me! What's wrong with the sound I recorded?"
Bai Yang picked up a phone and pressed play.
I reached out, took the phone, and interrupted Bai Yang.
"Do you remember? When you called us just now, you were almost crying from fright?"
"You were so scared just now, why didn't you go to your friends?"
"Yeah, why don't I contact them?"
A familiar smile curved Bai Yang's lips, and my breath caught in my throat. That smile...
She looks exactly like the woman behind her!
