"Fuck your mother!"
Even with his vast experience, Jin Ye was so frightened that his face changed drastically, and he couldn't help but swear.
Su Mingyang raised the stool in his hand even higher, about to smash it at Luo Tianhe.
I quickly stopped Su Mingyang and gestured for the two of them to be quiet.
"Calm down, don't provoke him!"
"Should I provoke him?"
Su Mingyang's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets: "He's the one who provoked me! I'm about to have a heart attack!"
However, Luo Tianhe seemed oblivious to our presence, crawling out from under the bed on all fours.
The three of us didn't dare to move, and just watched helplessly as he crawled out from under the bed like a giant lizard to our feet.
After crawling out from under the bed, Luo Tianhe didn't even look at us, and mechanically walked outside.
As he passed the door, he also picked up a shovel from the wall before going out.
"What is he going to do?"
Su Mingyang was stunned by this series of bizarre actions.
I said I had no idea, and that I'd go and see for myself first.
"Walk!"
Jin waved his hand, signaling us to hurry up and follow.
Luo Tianhe was like a walking corpse, his steps never stopping as he walked straight up the mountain.
Half an hour later, Luo Tianhe stopped when he reached an open space.
We quickly hid behind some bushes, keeping our eyes fixed on Luo Tianhe.
They dared not move, for fear of making the slightest sound and provoking him to suddenly go berserk.
Luo Tianhe raised his shovel and began digging a hole, one stroke at a time.
"What was he dreaming about? Digging for treasure?" Su Mingyang stared at Luo Tianhe with a puzzled look on his face.
I looked at Master Jin again.
Jin Ye stared intently at Luo Tianhe's every move and analyzed in a low voice.
"What you think about during the day, you dream about at night. Most dreams are related to reality. Xiao Luo coming here to dig soil in the middle of the night might be related to his past experiences. Xiao Chen, think back to what happened before."
I thought about it for a moment and wondered if it was because of what happened in Rabbit Ear Village when he saw the village chief digging up a corpse? Was Luo Ge's mind affected, so he came here to repeat the process of burying the corpse?
As they were talking, Luo Tianhe seemed to have completed some kind of mission. Suddenly, he threw the shovel aside and fell straight into the newly dug pit.
"What does this mean? Why did he lie down by himself?" Su Mingyang leaned out slightly, even more puzzled.
No sooner had he finished speaking than Luo Tianhe scooped up some soil with both hands and began to cover himself with it.
My heart skipped a beat, and I rushed out, shouting, "Help! He's trying to bury himself alive!"
We ran to the edge of the pit, and Su Mingyang and I each grabbed one of Luo Tianhe's arms, while Jin Ye held onto his legs tightly. It took a lot of effort to pull Luo Tianhe out of the pit.
Even so, Luo Tianhe's hands were still making a gesture of burying himself in the air.
"Did he dream that he was buried alive?" Su Mingyang asked, still shaken.
Jin Ye waved his hand: "Never mind that for now, take him back quickly. Now that he has lost his [Heavenly Soul], any wandering ghost would want to possess him."
As he spoke, Jin threw a handful of money into the air to clear the way, urging us to hurry up and leave.
Once inside, Master Jin found a thick iron chain and tied Luo Tianhe's hands and feet together, then wrapped it around his body several times.
"I'll see how he unties it this time. I was too gentle with him before!"
Jin Ye wiped his sweat and gestured for Su Mingyang to quickly hoist Luo Tianhe into the air.
Suffering is suffering, but it's better than dying.
This time, Luo Tianhe tried to bury himself alive so we had a chance to save him. What about next time?
What if he just chops his head off with a knife next time?
I said this can't go on forever, we can't keep him hanging on like this, can we?
Although Master Jin had suppressed Luo Tianhe's [Earth Soul], [Life Soul], and his seven spirits, without the [Heaven Soul], it was like an empty house with no one living there.
Who knows when something dirty might sneak in and take over the nest?
Even without any evil spirits possessing him, he's practically dead.
I asked Master Jin where Lingmei was, because I wanted to go find her.
Firstly, I wanted to help Luo Tianhe return to life, and secondly, I wanted her to help me rebuild my [Earth Soul].
Perhaps after the [Earth Soul] is found, I will know the whole truth.
Jin shook his head with a wry smile: "Finding Lingmei is not that easy. I only know that she is a doctor and that she appeared in Qingping Village ten years ago. I don't know anything else."
I asked, "Does the Lingmei plum have any other characteristics?"
"feature?"
Jin thought for a moment and said, "A woman!"
I have a toothache.
Is this considered a characteristic?
Jin added, "He's in his seventies or eighties, I don't know anything else!"
Seeing my dejected look, Jin said irritably, "He's a reclusive master. If he were so easy to find, why would he be hiding in the mountains? It all depends on fate!"
I then asked where Qingping Village was.
"I don't know, I only know that white foxes have appeared over there!"
Damn, he knows nothing about everything!
Following the clues given by Jin Ye, I searched online.
Goodness, there are dozens of places across the country called Qingping Village.
It exists in provinces such as Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, and Yunnan.
However, none of the villages in Qingping that had previously been inhabited by white foxes match up.
After all, there is no natural distribution of wild white foxes in China.
However, I found that red foxes are quite widely distributed in Heilongjiang.
There's also a post online saying that in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, some people have encountered wild white foxes, especially in one village where there's even a statue of a white fox.
