Chapter 431 Surrounded Again

This thing really terrified Lao Dao.

A female corpse, standing upright, is truly horrifying.

I've seen it all at the funeral home—things like corpses coming back to life, and even female ghosts. In short, I've seen things even more terrifying than this.

The corpse was dressed slightly differently, with two small buns tied with two small hair ties on its head.

The outfit and hairstyle were old-fashioned, but the two small hair ties looked modern.

I picked up the lightning sword in my hand and stabbed the corpse.

However, the lightning sword only entered the female corpse's body and then had no other effect.

The feeling was like being inserted into an ordinary corpse.

"Brother Chen, are you even capable of this?!"

Old Dao was so frightened he went numb. He raised his finger and pressed it against the woman's face.

Unfortunately, it still didn't work.

Although the old Taoist's blood and urine had a restraining effect on such evil things, they had no effect whatsoever when applied to the female corpse's face.

"It seems there's more to this corpse than meets the eye!"

With a cold expression, I first calmed Old Dao down.

Although this corpse is a bit eerie, so far it doesn't seem to be attacking us.

The woman jumped up and leaped out like a zombie.

Then, right before our eyes, his body gradually became ethereal.

Finally, it disappeared.

"Fuck you!"

I couldn't help but curse.

This is the first time I've ever seen such a bizarre phenomenon.

I can tell that this is not a ghost.

"What the hell is this thing?!" Old Dao was so scared he wet himself.

This corpse is so eerie; it came and went so stealthily.

I shook my head to indicate that I didn't know, and then came to the coffin. Some unusual items appeared on the wooden planks of the coffin.

These items look ethereal and intangible, as if they were not physical objects.

"I understand, Old Knife! That wasn't a corpse either; it must have been a mutated soul!"

I suddenly realized why neither Old Dao's blood nor my sword could harm that corpse.

Because this thing has no physical form at all, and for something without a physical form, the blood from the Haji knife is useless.

As for my sword, it can indeed suppress ghosts to some extent.

But it definitely passed through just now, which means that if this is a soul, then it is probably a mutated form of a soul.

This explains everything.

In addition, the peculiar object that appeared on the wooden board also seemed ethereal; it was left behind by that thing.

I looked closely at the object on the coffin, and it had twisted and turned into a small snake.

You can only vaguely see a shadowy figure on the body.

"This thing is a snake! Oh, I remember now, this guesthouse might be a giant snake pit!"

Old Dao's gaping mouth almost dislocated.

At this moment, the tattoo on my arm is vibrating violently.

Its greedily open little mouth seemed ready to devour the thing instantly.

His gluttonousness was even greater than when he encountered the boss's blood earlier.

"That's it! The tattoo we just saw must have marked this thing!"

I was a little excited, so I quickly put my arm inside the coffin.

As expected, the tattoo on his arm opened its mouth and completely sucked the small snake inside.

After inhaling the inhaled liquid, I could feel that the tattoo on my arm had become more vibrant.

It was as if something missing from the tattoo had been filled in at that moment.

"How are you? Brother Chen, are you alright?" Lao Dao stared intently at my arm, afraid that something might have happened to me.

"It's okay, this feeling is actually quite nice!"

I shook my head, feeling the vibrant life force in my arm.

"It seems like something just now filled in the missing part!"

I gave Lao Dao a simple explanation.

"Could it be that the little snake just now was some kind of spirit, and your tattoo, after consuming that spirit, makes it look more like a living thing?"

Old Dao touched his temples and made a bold guess.

I actually agree with Lao Dao's opinion; you know what, it's quite possible.

"Wait a minute, there seems to be something else under this coffin!"

I suddenly exclaimed.

Because I felt the coffin was making a buzzing or shaking sound.

Seeing this, Lao Dao and I worked together to move the coffin away.

There was nothing underneath, except that the floorboard below was slightly loose.

Just as we breathed a sigh of relief, a beam of yellow light shot out from the floor, as if something had broken through a seal.

Immediately afterwards, the tunnel outside became as bright as day.

In just a moment, it returned to its original state.

I immediately sensed something was wrong.

It turns out that the woman in the coffin and the mysterious spirit she left behind were all a ruse.

What was truly sealed was what lay beneath the coffin.

Unfortunately, just now, Lao Dao and I let this thing go.

"Brother Chen, have we gotten ourselves into trouble?"

Old Dao's mouth was dry, his lips moved slightly, and he squeezed out this sentence.

"Maybe?" I'm not entirely sure either.

Suddenly, I felt something move inside my pocket.

I touched my pocket and found two pieces of betel nut inside, which the old master had given me.

Now it has turned into two small red flower ropes.
