The driver's body trembled violently, and his maniacal laughter came to an abrupt halt.
He maintained his manic state, but gradually calmed down.
It wasn't until a few seconds later that he slowly lowered his head.
The everted eyeballs have become somewhat normal, but they still appear to be alternating between red and green.
He mumbled something under his breath.
"You strange kid, you're too strong..."
As he spoke, his eyes revealed an indescribable surprise.
To be honest, I doubt this guy ever imagined that I would use this method.
Even when he was in a state of frenzy, I suspect he himself was unaware of it.
Otherwise, they wouldn't have been chattering away, gesturing wildly, and even saying such strange things.
Thinking about this, I stopped trying to figure out what he had just done. Although what he said was a bit outrageous, I could understand that he clearly wanted to help us.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have kept both hands pressed firmly on the accelerator button.
He had already let go, directly leading us into the vortex; that's the kind of reaction a truly insane person might make.
But he didn't; he kept pressing it down firmly the whole time.
It was this action that made me feel that even if he had fallen into madness, he should still have some rationality left.
It was probably this little bit of rationality that kept him from leading us astray.
At this moment, he seemed to have forgotten everything he had just done, and just nodded silently, interspersed with a few words of praise for me.
I didn't listen to him because what he said was mostly flattery.
The recoil from the three bullets I had just fired still lingered in my hand.
The force applied to my hand actually produced a slight cracking sound.
I could still feel the last bit of strength left in my hands.
To be honest, I'm still a little unaccustomed to the wrist guards suddenly transforming into these small gun barrels. I don't know if I can switch back in an instant.
If not, then there's no point in keeping this thing in my hands. After all, there are probably very few times when I'll actually use this little barrel, since I need to charge it up before using it.
Although it's a bit further away, it's nowhere near as impactful as punching it. But at least this thing helped me wake the guy up.
That alone is enough to make the small barrel effective.
If he doesn't revert back to his original state in the end, I won't have any regrets about the state of my wristband.
The most important thing right now is what matters.
A few seconds later, the driver reverted to a slightly manic state.
The girl next to me grabbed my arm tightly and whispered, "Is this guy crazy?"
But I can't reply, because I can't tell what's wrong with him right now.
Just as I was about to speak, the driver suddenly sat up straight, the expression he had on the phone vanished instantly, and his eyes regained their cold and sharp look.
This time, however, he was no longer in that frenzied state.
He suddenly became serious, as if he had been brought back down to earth by my shots.
I noticed that the three streams of energy that had just struck the back of his body, along with the two streams from the girl and the lightning sword, all flowed slowly downwards along the same path after passing through the driver's body.
It eventually landed completely beneath the hovercar.
And it's suspended in mid-air!
Looking at this energy, it was clear that it had been completely transformed into the kinetic energy inside the hovercar.
Or rather, this kinetic energy is now being fully utilized by the hovercar, which floats below with a faint, dazzling blue light.
I looked at the driver; the blood had stopped seeping from his hands and the corners of his eyes, and the bluish-green color had disappeared.
Only the driver remained, calmly saying, "That's enough."
Good grief, you still remember what you said before!
“Master, I think this guy is just deliberately messing with us. He’s being controlled by a special substance, not dead.”
And what he controls is probably just something that's already inside his head!
The accumulated complaints in my mind were running through my head, while the driver, at that moment, did indeed regain some of his rationality.
I stared at the driver, the barrel of the gun still in my hand.
"Weren't you just saying it wasn't enough?"
My voice carried a hint of sarcasm, and then I just stared at him.
Yi Yi was also staring intently at him, really wanting to know what was going on with this guy.
But the driver ignored us and just stretched out his hand, which hadn't lost a finger, and rapidly pressed the buttons on the front of the car.
He looks like a very professional driver.
Through his actions, I finally understood that he wasn't crazy; he had just been under the control of something.
Is it really because we channeled energy into him?
Even so, I'm still somewhat glad that I ultimately chose to use this wristband, or more accurately, this little gun barrel woke him up.
As he pressed the buttons a few times, a muffled hum suddenly came from under the car, and the energy that had been shining just moments before now shone even brighter!
It was brighter than ever before, with pale blue flames overflowing from under the car.
It quickly spread outwards several times.
And this hovercar also desperately tried to squeeze out almost immediately!
This speed really caught me off guard.
The girl and I were both suddenly pulled back by this relationship.
Goodness, if I'd been this fast earlier, I would have woken him up long ago!
Although the car has a lot more energy, I can still feel the power of the huge vortex we are in constantly increasing.
The speed we just experienced was also an attempt to counteract the speed of the vortex.
However, I could clearly sense that we were no longer inside, and were constantly moving outwards, albeit at a rapid pace.
"This guy has actually returned to normal, he's really recovered..."
Yiyi was still a little shaken. He gripped the handrail next to him and my clothes, his face full of surprise.
"Master, if you ask me, you should have given him those three shots a long time ago! I don't understand this move at all!"
The Thunder Strike Sword was shouting loudly in my mind, and I felt a great sense of excitement.
