The room was filled with a strong stench of decay, mixed with a faint smell of blood.
It was the scent of Suqin.
I quickly scanned the area on the first floor, but apart from some dark green liquid on the ground, I didn't see Suqin.
I didn't see Uncle Liu's son, Little Fatty, either.
Before we came in, Uncle Liu said that Little Fatty was in the room at the very end of the third floor.
Without hesitation, I went straight to the third floor.
All the way, I hoped I would never run into Suqin.
The stairwell leading to the third floor was narrow and dark, and I could only grope my way forward by the faint light.
When I was halfway there, I suddenly heard a soft rustling sound above my head.
It looked like something was climbing on the ceiling.
I instinctively looked up, but all I saw was darkness.
The doors on both sides of the corridor were tightly closed, and it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
I slowly walked towards the room where Little Fatty was. With each step I took closer, I could feel a strong chill rushing towards me.
*Smack*
I felt like I stepped on something sticky, and then, in the dim light, I looked down.
It was a pool of dark green, viscous liquid.
Suqin came up to the third floor.
The dark green footprints stretched forward until they reached a doorway.
According to the information my sixth uncle gave me, it's the room where Little Fatty lives.
Did Suqin go to find Little Fatty?
Is it really true, as Uncle Ying said in his movies, that once you become a zombie, you'll harm your own family first?
If Little Fatty has already been killed by Suqin, then there's no point in me going.
Just as I was hesitating about whether I should check, the door suddenly creaked open by itself.
"Waaah—"
A faint sob could be heard coming from inside.
I can't tell if it's Suqin's or Xiaopang's; it sounds like someone is covering their mouth and trying to hold back their tears.
I hesitated for a moment, then slowly walked toward the half-open door.
It was very dark inside, and I couldn't see the whole picture.
I crept up to the door, squinting, trying to see what was happening inside.
quiet!
A deathly silence.
Only my heavy breathing echoed in my ears.
"call--"
"call--"
wrong.
It sounded like there was someone else breathing besides me.
Who is it?
I held my breath, not daring to move, glancing to the side out of the corner of my eye.
Nobody's here.
I turned my head quickly, but there was no one there.
Did I hear wrong?
I looked to my left and right, then turned to my back.
Still no one.
But I smelled a rotten stench.
The smell was incredibly strong, hitting me right in the face.
I looked up abruptly and came face to face with a face full of eyes.
What a face!
Its face was covered in white pupils, each of which seemed to have its own controlling nerve and was constantly moving.
Although I had seen Suqin's face covered in eyes before, I had never observed her up close like this.
Her face was visible through the half-open door, peering out from behind it.
The shock and horror were indescribable.
My heart jumped into my throat.
I quickly took two steps back, turned around, and ran away.
Judging from the looks of it, Little Fatty is already dead and beyond saving.
However, as soon as I turned around, a withered, bluish-black hand suddenly reached out from behind the closed door.
With a "snap," it grabbed my shoulder tightly.
In an instant, a burning pain shot through my shoulder, as if I were being pressed hard by a scalding hot iron.
I couldn't help but groan, my body instinctively trying to break free.
But I found that the hand was incredibly strong, like an iron clamp, holding me firmly in place.
However, the next second, a shrill scream suddenly came from inside the door, and the hand that was gripping my shoulder withdrew instantly as if it had been electrocuted.
It was only then that I realized that the talisman that Fifth Master had drawn on my body had taken effect.
A mix of intense curiosity and fear made me instinctively turn my head and peer into the room through the slowly opening door.
The room was filled with a strong smell of blood mixed with the stench of decay, making one almost want to vomit.
In the dim light, I saw a chubby ball of flesh lying on the floor beside the bed.
Face down, motionless.
Below his body was a large, shocking pool of blood, which was spreading outwards and pooling on the ground into a dark red pool.
And in the pool of blood, there were some rope-like things winding around.
It's Little Fatty's intestines.
His intestines spilled out of his cut-open abdomen and were scattered haphazardly around him.
Little Fatty was disemboweled by his own mother.
It seems like a long time has passed, but it actually happened in the blink of an eye.
While Suqin was temporarily suppressed by the talisman inside the room, I ran wildly towards the stairwell.
Sixth Uncle and Luo Tianhe and the others were already pacing anxiously outside.
As soon as I scrambled out, the crowd surged forward.
Uncle Liu rushed to the front, gripping my shoulders tightly with both hands, his nails almost digging into my flesh.
His eyes were bloodshot, his eye sockets were red, and his voice was trembling with sobs, almost a scream.
"What's going on inside? Where's Little Fatty? Why didn't my son come out with you?"
I opened my mouth, but didn't know how to start.
When my sixth uncle saw that I didn't answer, he instantly lost control of his emotions, shaking me violently with both hands and shouting, "Say something! What happened to my son?"
I took a deep breath and said with difficulty, "I'm sorry, Fatty... he was disemboweled by Suqin and is gone."
