"Old Sun?"
As I lit a cigarette for Liu Sandao, I asked him with a puzzled look on my face.
"Brother Liu, who is Old Sun?"
Liu Sandao took a deep drag of his cigarette, slowly exhaled a smoke ring, and his expression instantly turned serious.
"Old Sun, he was a remarkable old hero!"
An old hero?
Filled with curiosity, I hurriedly asked, "Brother Liu, tell me quickly, what's Old Sun's background?"

It turns out he was an old hero.

I was startled and subconsciously touched my neck, only to find that the bone needle necklace was gone.
I suddenly realized: "You mean Old Sun took my bone needle necklace to help suppress those wronged spirits? But isn't that for warding off evil? How could a ghost like him use it?"
Liu Sandao's expression became somewhat complicated as he slowly spoke.
"It can be used, but... once used, his soul will be scattered. Old Sun knew this, but he still chose to take the bone needle necklace. He did this to protect the peace of the area, putting his own life aside."
After saying that, Liu Sandao suddenly changed the subject and asked a question.
"Do you know why your earth spirit cannot be rebuilt?"
Filled with doubt, I could only shake my head helplessly.
Liu Sandao sneered and said, "It's because of the bone needle necklace around your neck."
"How is that possible!"
I suddenly stood up, so agitated that I almost knocked the table over.
