Chapter 398 Old Knife Has Been Replaced

Old Dao opened it, revealing another snake egg inside. However, this egg was dark red and covered in scales, making it look quite sinister.

I narrowed my eyes; this snake egg felt completely different from the one I had just had.

I tried placing my arm in front of the snake egg, but unfortunately, my arm didn't react; it must have been full.

"Brother Chen, aren't you going to take it?" Old Dao was a little puzzled. In his opinion, such a good thing should be taken away by right.

"Leave some room for maneuver in everything; we've already gained enough benefits this time!"

I declined Lao Dao's suggestion and planned to leave the room.

Old Dao had no choice but to keep up.

Just as I was about to leave the room, I suddenly pressed the Thunderstrike Sword against Old Knife's neck.

Where is Lao Dao?

I posed a soul-searching question.

Old Dao, standing before him, flashed a fawning smile: "Brother Chen, what are you saying? I am Old Dao. This joke isn't funny!"

I shook my head and started to exert force: "No, Lao Dao won't rush up and kick the wall open immediately!"

"Old Dao and I are business partners. He doesn't need to work so hard for me. Besides, Old Dao is a bit of a fool and not as smart as you."

I speak with reason and evidence, and there is not a single fault in my words.

Even the old knife in front of him seemed to be malfunctioning.

He never expected that I would judge him in this way.

Actually, there's one more thing I haven't mentioned: after experiencing all these things, Lao Dao has long since become neurotic.

If it were the real Lao Dao, he would have wet himself by now, but Lao Dao, who was killed first, still had dry pants.

He is definitely not Lao Dao.

"You must have replaced Old Knife when the fog was spreading, right?"

"Excellent, excellent! As expected of the Owl God's successor, your insight is indeed sharp!"

Old Dao laughed loudly at me, no longer pretending.

"I'd like to see how you manage to escape this formation."

With a strange laugh, Old Knife's body began to turn into mist and disappear.

I looked at my arm; after devouring the snake egg, the eagle owl's vitality had become even stronger.

I let out a long sigh, unsure whether things would turn out well or badly.

...

I left the room and followed the path I had taken, searching for Old Knife.

Old Dao is still useful; I can't let him die here.

I struggled for about half an hour, but still couldn't find a way out.

Old Dao is nowhere to be found either. I know I'm trapped here.

Suddenly, I heard Lao Dao's voice.

"Brother Chen! Brother Chen, where are you?"

Old Dao's voice carried over, and I followed the sound and soon found him.

I stared at Lao Dao's pants and breathed a sigh of relief, because Lao Dao's pants were wet, obviously he had just peed.

That's more like it; that's how Lao Dao should be.

"Brother Chen, I've finally found you! You scared me to death!"

Old Dao, his voice trembling with tears, almost hugged me.

I pushed Lao Dao away with a look of disgust.

At that moment, I felt a chill down my spine.

Looking back, it was the fat woman, half of her face covered in blood.
