Chapter 1533 Human Skin Curse

I breathed a sigh of relief, quickly realized what had happened, and shouted at Luo Tianhe again:

"Luo Tianhe, it works! But even though that thing is cracked, it can still control the zombie. You can smash it to pieces, and I want to see if the zombie will still chase me!"

"You're asking for death!" Old Liu went completely mad. He ignored Luo Tianhe and turned to pounce on the red-clothed wooden puppet on the ground, trying to snatch it back.

But Luo Tianhe wouldn't let him succeed; the baton in his hand blurred into a blur as it enveloped him.

Taking advantage of the moment when the zombie was affected, I suddenly slapped a talisman on his forehead.

The talisman stuck to his dark skin with a "snap" and immediately burst into flames.

The corpse puppet let out a roar that was clearly filled with pain for the first time, and frantically clawed at its forehead with both hands, trying to tear off the talisman.

However, the talisman had already transformed into yang fire. As soon as he touched it, he felt as if he had been pricked by a needle and abruptly withdrew his hand.

"Zhao Jianguo, come here and pull out the nails!" I shouted at Zhao Jianguo, who had just gotten up from the ground, while at the same time doing my best to entangle the chaotic corpse puppet.

When Zhao Jianguo saw his father's pained expression, a hint of pity flashed in his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by a deeper hatred. He wasn't stupid; he knew what to do!

He also knows who really caused his father to become like this!

He roared and charged forward, this time with a clear target: the seven black wooden nails embedded in his father's body!

At this moment, I had wrapped the zombie with several layers of cinnabar thread, and Luo Tianhe was also quite capable, completely destroying the puppet. The zombie was now completely frozen in place.

Zhao Jianguo grabbed the cold wooden nails off his father's leg with both hands and pulled them out with all his might!

"Pfft!"

A thick, black, foul-smelling slurry gushed out as the wooden nail was pulled out.

Zhao Laoshuan's body trembled violently, and his leg lost its support, causing him to kneel down on one knee.

Soon, despite his exhaustion and the dirt, Zhao Jianguo continued to remove the remaining six nails from his father's body.

"No!" Old Liu let out a desperate roar, his whole body slumped down like a wild dog whose spine had been removed, blood gushing from his mouth and nose.

The light flowing over his little triangular flag went out completely and fell to the ground.

The red figure in the temple suddenly shrank back into the darkness the moment we completely pulled out the nail!

The two red wooden doors slammed shut with a loud bang, completely blocking our view.

"Is this thing scared?" A sliver of hope rose in our hearts.

This thing is very strange, but it seems to be very timid.

Not only was he afraid of light, and dared not come out when Li Huai shone a strong flashlight on him, but upon seeing the defeat on this side, he actually abandoned Lao Liu.

However, just as we breathed a sigh of relief, a sudden change occurred!

Old Liu, who had been listless and slumped on the ground like a lump of mud, suddenly had a final flash of madness and viciousness in his eyes!

Then, to our bewilderment and shock, he suddenly plunged the boning knife in his hand into his heart.

Did he commit suicide out of fear of punishment?

The thought flashed through my mind: the boning knife was rusty and had long since become a tetanus weapon.

Moreover, he stabbed someone in the heart; even if he missed slightly, he wouldn't have died on the spot.

But this small village had no way to treat this kind of wound, so he was still doomed!

"With my mutilated body, flesh and blood, my seven souls and six spirits, I offer myself as a sacrifice to the Goddess, to curse and kill them!"

Old Liu's final roar was filled with resentment and venom. The blood from his chest did not gush out in large quantities due to the ruptured artery; instead, it was strangely absorbed by the rusty boning knife.

The next moment, the knife fell to the ground and seeped into the ground.

Old Liu's body quickly shriveled up, and in no time it turned into a thin human skin.

This is troublesome!

My face immediately darkened, and Luo Binghe's face was also ashen, looking even more distressed than mine.

"It's all my fault. I was careless and didn't keep an eye on him. I should have just killed him!" Luo Tianhe said angrily. If he hadn't let his guard down, Old Liu wouldn't have been able to pull off any of his dirty tricks!

"It's too late to talk about this now. Let's think about how to deal with this first. I'm getting a little uneasy," I said in a low voice.

"Should we... or should we run away?" The voice inside was a little hoarse. The flashlight beam swept nervously across the temple door and then fell back onto the eerie human skin on the ground.

The human skin was as thin as a cicada's wing, and it landed lightly on the ground. It was crumpled and folded, but it still vaguely retained a human shape.

His face still held a hint of madness and resentment as he stared intently at us in the dim light.

"Let's go! Let's get out of here first." For the first time, I felt that Li Huai's words made sense.

Luo Tianhe spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva, his baton held horizontally beside him; he had a bad feeling about this.

Despite his grief and nausea, Zhao Jianguo carried his father's gruesome body on his back, intending to take him away from the scene as well.

Just as Zhao Jianguo was carrying the corpse and passing by Lao Liu's human skin, the skin suddenly moved without warning.

As if blown by the wind, it rushed towards Zhao Jianguo's face with incredible speed.

Fortunately, I was mentally prepared and was keeping a close eye on that human skin.

"Watch out!" I shouted, then kicked Zhao Jianguo in the side, making him stagger and fall to the side, landing heavily on the ground along with his father.

I didn't hold back at all. Zhao Jianguo was so badly injured by my kick that he couldn't catch his breath for a long time. He looked at me with a mixture of confusion and resentment.

I pointed behind him, and the human skin flew past Zhao Jianguo's ear and stuck to an old tree.

The bark of that tree turned grayish-white at a visible speed, and then, with a snap, it broke off.

A flicker of fear crossed Zhao Jianguo's face, and the resentment in his eyes vanished, replaced by gratitude.

I waved my hand at him, not at all angry at his outburst.

Anyone else who was suddenly and hard kicked in the kidneys would probably react much more dramatically than him.

"Holy crap, what the hell is this thing?!" Luo Tianhe was so shocked by this turn of events that he took a half step back.

Li Huai's face turned deathly pale. If that human skin had flown towards him...

He was quite far from me; without my help, he wouldn't have been able to escape, and he'd probably be in deep trouble by now.

However, before we could even steady ourselves, a violent tremor suddenly struck the ground beneath our feet, causing us to sway violently and nearly fall.

"An earthquake?" Li Huai asked in a panic.

"Are you stupid! It must be related to what that old man did just now!" I shouted.
