Chapter 102 Someone Under the Bed

Have my memories been altered?

Just as I was about to press him further, Master Jin suddenly turned his gaze to Su Mingyang, a hint of displeasure flashing in his eyes, and shouted sharply.

"What are you still standing there for? Can't you see I'm covered in blood? Hurry up and go find a towel to wipe me clean!"

"oh oh!"

Su Mingyang responded and hurriedly went to find a towel.

“Master Jin…” I tried to speak again.

"I'm exhausted. Let's talk about it after I've had some sleep!"

Jin didn't even glance at me, yawned, and walked straight towards the room: "Xiao Su, hurry up and prepare a room for me, I'm sleepy."

As I watched Jin Ye's figure gradually disappear behind the door, my mind was in complete chaos.

Judging from the deeper meaning in Master Jin's words, could it be that all my memories have been altered?

If my analysis with Master Jin was correct, then in order to rebuild my soul, Grandpa did not hesitate to harm many innocent lives and set up the [Seven Deadly Arrays of the Netherworld].

So why was he unwilling to seek Lingmei's help?

Could it be that he doesn't want me to remember something crucial?

Even after lying in bed, I tossed and turned and couldn't fall asleep.

Countless questions clashed and intertwined in my mind.

I feel like my head is about to explode.

The truth seems so close, yet it is shrouded in layers of mystery, making it all the more elusive.

In a daze, I felt a chill creep up from the soles of my feet and straight to my heart.

It felt like someone was squatting at the foot of the bed, blowing cold air onto the soles of my feet. I sat up abruptly, only to realize that I had unknowingly fallen asleep against the headboard.

Outside the window, the cold wind howled and whistled, making the half-open window creak.

That's strange, I remember closing the window before I went to sleep.

Who opened the window?

I tightened my clothes, picked up my phone, and carefully shone the faint light from the screen onto the side.

Jin Ye and Su Mingyang lay on the bed in a 69 position, head to toe, snoring without a care in the world.

Su Mingyang clung to Jin Ye's leg, occasionally chuckling as if he were dreaming about something.

Jin Ye's big toe was about to shove into Su Mingyang's nostril.

I slowly turned the light from my phone toward Luo Tianhe's location.

Upon seeing this, I was instantly terrified and broke out in a cold sweat.

All that remained on the ground was a pile of scattered ropes; Luo Tianhe was nowhere to be seen!

Where are they?

I quickly turned my phone around and scanned every corner of the room, but I still couldn't find Luo Tianhe.

"Wake up! Luo Tianhe is gone!"

I shook Jin Ye and Su Mingyang awake with force.

"Luo Ge is missing?"

Su Mingyang sat up abruptly in bed, his eyes wide open.

Jin Ye was wide awake. He bent down to pick up the rope from the ground and said with a puzzled look, "I checked it carefully before I went to bed. It was tied very tightly. How did he untie it?"

I told him to stop researching this and get to the search quickly! Brother Luo is delirious right now; if he runs away, it'll be a huge problem!

"He didn't run away!"

Jin walked quickly behind the door, reached out and gently tugged at the door frame a few times, revealing a small clump of mugwort tied with red thread between his two fingers.

“I made a mark. This mugwort was tied to the door frame with a red thread. If the door were opened, the red thread would break and the mugwort would fall down. But the mugwort is still here, which means the door has not been opened.”

I looked again at the window that had been closed earlier.

Even when fully open, the window could barely allow a seven or eight-year-old child to squeeze through sideways.

Luo Tianhe's robust physique made it impossible for him to squeeze through.

Since Luo Tianhe is still in the house, where did he hide?

"Stop thinking about it, just start looking!"

Jin Ye gave a shout and began searching around the small room.

We searched every corner, including the old rice jar, but still found nothing.

"Could Brother Luo have some kind of bone-shrinking technique and gotten out through the window? Otherwise, the room is only so big, where could he have run off to?"

Su Mingyang scratched his head, looking puzzled.

I was about to scold him for talking nonsense when, to my surprise, Master Jin surprisingly agreed with Su Mingyang's opinion.

"That's possible!"

I looked at Master Jin in surprise. He actually believed it?

Jin glanced at me and explained, "Xiao Luo has lost his [Heavenly Soul] now, he has no consciousness, no sense of pain, and he does everything based on his dreams. In order to get out, he might break his own joints, or even his own head."

Su Mingyang hurriedly shouted, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go out and look for them! It'll be troublesome if they run too far away."

Just as the three of us were about to leave the room, I suddenly heard a faint creaking sound, like fingernails gently scraping against wood.

I made a shushing gesture to Jin Ye and Su Mingyang, and pointed to the space under the bed where I was sleeping.

“I’ve searched under all the beds, nothing!” Su Mingyang immediately rejected the idea.

Just as I was about to speak, the voice came again, even clearer than before.

"Creak—"

"Creak—"

The sound wasn't loud, but it seemed particularly eerie in the quiet night.

"Could it be a snake?" I asked.

"The sound doesn't sound like that; it sounds more like rats gnawing on a wooden board," Jin Ye said, shaking his head.

Su Mingyang swallowed hard: "Could it be... Bai Su?"

As soon as he said that, I felt a chill run down my spine, and goosebumps instantly appeared all over my body.

It wasn't out of fear, but the thought of Bai Su lying under the bed with a pale face made me feel disgusted.

But I quickly came to my senses and said that Bai Su had been torn to pieces by me and had been given a proper rite of passage by Master Jin, so how could it be her?
