Chapter 400 Old Knife Has Turned into a Chicken

"Oh, we shouldn't go looking for him?"

I was a bit dumbfounded. Logically speaking, Xu Feng should be a good person.

He's at least more reliable than Lao Dao.

"If you go, you'll die! That's all I can say!"

The fat woman continued to give me instructions, but when I asked further questions, she stopped talking.

He just warned me that if I went to Haopo Village, I should never look for Xu Feng.

Although I nodded in agreement, what I was really thinking was that I had to find Xu Feng.

This is the most crucial clue.

"Then, sister, do you know Zhou the tailor?"

I remembered Zhou the tailor; both Liu Sandao and that old master craftsman had mentioned Zhou the tailor.

Since Xu Feng has problems, then Zhou the tailor is my only hope.

"Huh? Zhou the tailor? There shouldn't be any tailors in Haopo Village, unless that's his name."

The woman thought for a moment and answered seriously.

I felt a pang of disappointment; I hadn't expected to find none of the answers I was looking for here.

"Don't think about these things anymore. If you want to go to Haopo Village, you have to listen to me."

The plump woman interrupted my thoughts and pulled us forward quickly.

During that time, Lao Dao and I asked about Hua Hua, but the fat woman just laughed it off.

The fat woman was unwilling to talk about Hua Hua's affairs.

They just warned us that we had to stay in the room for a sufficient amount of time, otherwise we wouldn't be able to reach Haopo Village.

"Little brother, just because you called me 'sister,' I won't harm you. Just stay put. If I really wanted to harm you, I would have done it already!"

Finally, the fat woman reiterated her stance.

I think that makes a lot of sense.

That's right. If the fat woman really wanted to harm me, there would be no need for her to rescue me and Lao Dao.

What we need to be wary of now is Hua Hua.

Finally, led by the fat woman, Lao Dao and I left the cellar and returned to our own room.

At this point, half of the fat woman's face had returned to normal.

"Go back quickly! I'll bring you food. Get a good night's sleep, and after you've eaten, you can set off."

We have now left the cellar, and the blinding sunlight is shining on our faces, making it hard for us to open our eyes.

Old Dao and I both breathed a sigh of relief; we've finally arrived.

"Don't worry, sis, Chen and I will listen to you, we'll listen to you!"

Old Dao narrowly escaped death and now trusts the fat woman completely.

The fat woman smiled with satisfaction.

And so, Lao Dao and I went into the room, and I lay down on the bed.

Old Dao wanted to lie down, but I told him to wash his pants first.

"Brother Chen, are we really not going to look for Xu Feng?"

Old Dao asked as he changed his pants.

The landlady's words still echoed in our ears.

However, Xu Feng is the reason we came here.

Why not look for it? I asked in return.

I told Lao Dao that if he was afraid of dying, he could go back first.

Although the fat woman rescued us, I still didn't let my guard down around her.

I've been through so much lately, I've already gained a lot of experience.

"This time it wasn't all bad. To be honest, I actually gained quite a lot this time!"

I rolled up my sleeves, and the tattoo seemed to have an even stronger vitality.

I told Lao Dao about the snake eggs.

Old Dao was worried for me after hearing this.

"Brother Chen, that's a bit of a pity. If you had eaten the second snake egg, you might have had an even greater opportunity!"

Lao Dao felt a little regretful about this, but I was relieved. After all, it's always good to leave room for maneuver.

There was a sudden knock on the door. I went to open it and found that it was Hua Hua.

"You son of a bitch!"

Enemies meeting are bound to be filled with hatred.

When Lao Dao saw Hua Hua, he immediately started cursing.

If it weren't for me, this kid would probably have closed the shop and started doing business.

"How dare you show your face here, you son of a bitch? Brother Chen, where's your sword? Stab her to death!"

Old Dao was really furious, like a little boy whose feelings had been hurt by a scumbag woman.

Weak and pitiful, angry and helpless.

I gripped the Thunderstrike Sword tightly and gestured for Hua Hua to come in first.

Hua Hua brought in two casserole dishes, each containing a serving of snake soup.

Hua Hua started gesturing and saying that she didn't mean to hurt us and that she had her own reasons.

Old Dao cursed and then refused to look at Hua Hua.

I kept a wary eye on Hua Hua, and suddenly, I grabbed her arm.

Unexpectedly, this time there was no icy feeling; instead, it was as fiery as the proprietress's.

Something's not right, something's really not right.

It wasn't like this before when I was holding Huahua's arm.

And to this day, the eagle owl tattoo remains unchanged.

Hua Hua told me that she didn't expect me to be the Owl God, and now she won't offend me.

I found a hidden message in Hua Hua's words.

It's true that Hua Hua had feelings for us before, but she discovered the Owl God's identity.

After we finished eating the snake soup, Hua Hua told us to just wait quietly and she would let us know if there was any news.

I closed my eyes, which was a way of agreeing with what Hua Hua said.

Although Lao Dao was extremely unwilling, he still listened to me and obediently let Hua Hua leave.

I took a sniff, and I must say, the snake soup was incredibly delicious.

I tried the eagle owl tattoo first, and only after confirming there were no problems did I start to try it myself.

This snake soup is even tastier than the previous chicken soup. I must say, the owner has some culinary skills.

"Old Dao, you should try this!" I called Old Dao over.

"Old Dao?" Seeing that Old Dao didn't react, I turned around and glanced at him.

Old Dao was staring at his legs, saying nothing.

I looked over and saw that Lao Dao's leg seemed to have returned to normal.

Although there are still a few white hairs, they are now few and far between.

Now, Lao Dao is basically no different from a normal person.

"That's great, Brother Chen! I'm back to normal!" Old Dao was so excited that snot bubbles came out of his nose.

"Brother Chen, what's going on?"

Old Dao touched his leg, somewhat curious about the change.

"There are two possibilities. The first is that we entered that cellar and were affected by it."

The second possibility is that it's because of the room itself.

I analyzed the situation calmly.

What happened today is too strange.

Old Dao was still very wary of Hua Hua, and he didn't drink a drop of the snake soup that Hua Hua served him.

I could only reluctantly drink the two delicious dishes and wiped my mouth with a satisfied smile.

My phone still has no signal, so I simply lay down on the bed, closed my eyes, and got some rest.

In my sleep, I vaguely heard Lao Dao's voice.

I suddenly opened my eyes and was surprised to find that Lao Dao had transformed into a rooster at a speed visible to the naked eye.

"Damn it!" I cursed angrily.

I always thought Lao Dao would turn into a fox, but I never expected it to turn out like this.
