"Your grandma?"
I was very surprised.
Unexpectedly, the tailor Zhou they had been searching for turned out to be Zhou Caifeng, the little girl's grandmother.
This world is just a giant makeshift operation, full of coincidences.
"Little girl, what's your name? Can you take Grandpa to find your Grandma?"
I spoke gently.
I still look like an old man, a fact the little girl doesn't know, so she naturally calls herself Grandpa.
"Okay! You're good people, I'll take you there!"
The little girl replied in a sweet voice, but she didn't tell me her name.
I didn't think much of it. She's a young girl, so it's normal for her to have some sense of protection. There's nothing strange about it.
Old Dao had a lecherous look on his face; it seemed the little girl's voice had completely stunned the boy.
"Brother Chen, this little girl has such a lovely voice! She'll definitely grow up to be a beauty!"
Old Dao whispered.
I really want to punch Lao Dao. What kind of hobby does this old guy have? First he was interested in Hua Hua, and then he's interested in this little girl.
I told Lao Dao directly that this voice is nothing special, because when I watched short videos before, some men could imitate this voice, and even make it sweeter.
The little girl's voice was indeed pleasant, but it sounded a bit too fake.
Old Dao didn't say anything more.
Led by the little girl, we arrived at a village. In front of the village's stone tablet, we found the three characters "Haopo Village".
This must be the place we're looking for, right?
"Grandpa, Uncle, we're here! Just keep walking and my grandma's at home. Do you want to come with us?"
The little girl pointed ahead and patiently asked us.
"Yes, of course I'll go!" I nodded vigorously.
Old Dao then grabbed me, saying, "Brother Chen, shouldn't we go find Xu Feng first?"
“We can look for him tomorrow, but if we miss Zhou Caifeng, we'll really miss her!”
After thinking about it, I decided to look for Zhou Caifeng first.
Both Liu Sandao and the old master mentioned this person.
Therefore, this person is very important to us.
I touched my pocket, and inside was the brocade pouch that Liu Sandao had given me.
Liu Sandao instructed me to give this to Zhou Caifeng if I saw him.
However, at that time, Liu Sandao was referring to Zhou the tailor.
"Alright, that's the only way!"
Old Dao originally wanted to continue, but seeing my insistence, he followed my arrangement.
The little girl skipped and hopped along ahead, and we followed closely behind. This little girl's stamina was truly amazing; neither of us could keep up.
He had to speed up to keep up with the little girl.
Along the way, I noticed that the village seemed deserted and very quiet, which puzzled me.
According to the proprietress, since there are quite a few grass-root gods here and a lot of incense offered, it should be quite lively.
I gripped my sword tightly, ready to face any unforeseen circumstances.
After walking about two more miles, we came across a quaint little pavilion. This kind of retro architecture can probably only be found in villages like this.
"Grandpa, Uncle! This is my grandma's house! It's getting late, why don't you rest at my house!"
The little girl turned around and gave a bright, innocent smile, emphasizing her voice slightly when she said "my home".
"It's getting late, so we'll stay the night here. We're sorry to bother you!"
I took a look at the attic; it seemed to have many rooms, probably prepared specifically for guests.
It's completely dark now, so we can only find a place to rest. Whatever we need to do, we can deal with it tomorrow morning.
Old Dao's stomach was growling with hunger, and he dared not eat anything in the guesthouse.
In addition, I expelled a lot of stuff from that room, and now I can barely walk.
"I'm going to call my dad!" The little girl skipped and hopped into the attic.
"Brother Chen, don't you think there's something ghostly about this place?"
Old Dao glanced at the attic and couldn't help but take two steps back.
I glanced at Lao Dao out of the corner of my eye; thankfully, he didn't pee this time.
"It is a bit abnormal, but there shouldn't be any ghosts or monsters inside. Anyway, it's okay to be careful!"
I observed the entire attic, and it seemed to be shrouded in some kind of mist, but it was only a very thin layer, so thin that it was hard to see unless you looked closely.
While the two of us were discussing, a middle-aged man came out of the attic. He was quite handsome.
He was thin and pale, just like the little girl from before.
"You two have come from afar, so please stay in the attic. It's getting late, so whatever you wish to do, you can do it tomorrow!"
The middle-aged man also made a clicking sound with his mouth, eventually adjusting it into a very magnetic voice.
It still sounds like it's been processed by a sound card, lacking much emotion.
"Brother Chen, this voice is really nice, even I, a guy, think it's great!" Lao Dao whispered in my ear.
At this moment, all I want to do is punch him.
Under the man's arrangement, the two of us stayed in a room on the first floor.
Just as I initially thought, the first floor is all guest rooms, and there are many such guest rooms.
"The restrooms and showers are shared. If you need anything, just let me know, and I'll go cook for you two right away!"
The middle-aged man gave a mechanical look, then turned and left.
