Where Fifth Master used to stand, there was no trace of him.
Instead, there was a giant python whose body was thicker than a towering tree that several people could encircle.
Those two enormous snake eyes gleamed with a blood-red light, cold and merciless, as if they could see into the deepest fears of our hearts and pierce through our souls.
"This...this is Fifth Master's true form. It's over, it's really over now."
Jin lay on the ground, his voice as faint as a whisper, filled with deep despair.
As soon as he finished speaking, the giant python raised its head, its thick body like a black pillar that could collapse at any moment, carrying a terrifying force and whistling wind as it slammed down towards Master Jin.
Jin Ye's face instantly turned ashen, his hands gripping the bronze mirror almost convulsively, muttering incantations as he tried to summon the golden light within the mirror to defend against this fatal blow.
With a "crack," the bronze mirror shattered suddenly without warning, turning into countless fragments that scattered like snowflakes.
Jin Ye stared wide-eyed in horror, his eyes filled with a deep fear of death.
He tried his best to dodge to the side, but he was still a step too slow.
The python's body swept heavily past his shoulder, the enormous impact sending him flying.
A muffled "bang" was heard.
Jin Ye fell to the ground, his face changed, and he spat out a mouthful of blood. His left arm hung limply at an eerie angle.
The shattered bronze mirror lay to the side, stained with blood.
Hiss—
The giant python roared to the sky, its tail sweeping towards Luo Tianhe with a whooshing sound.
Luo Tianhe was unable to dodge in time and was hit hard on the shoulder by the tail.
A "crack" sound rang out, the sound of bones breaking.
His shoulder was a bloody mess.
Bones pierced his skin and protruded, and blood gushed out like a spring, instantly staining his clothes bright red.
"Brother Luo!!!"
I roared, struggled to pick up the machete from the ground, and dragged my injured body step by step toward the giant python.
With all his might, he slashed the cleaver at the python's vital spot.
However, when the machete struck its hard scales, not a single scratch appeared, as if it had struck an indestructible piece of steel.
The crisp sound of the impact seemed more like a mockery of us.
The giant python was thoroughly enraged by my attack. It suddenly turned its head, its blood-red vertical pupils staring intently at me.
I could even see my own small and desperate reflection in its eyes.
"call--"
The python lashed out with its tail, creating a whooshing sound, and struck me hard.
I felt a tremendous force send me flying, and I tumbled several times in the air, feeling as if my internal organs had been thrown out of place.
A sweet taste rose in his throat, and a mouthful of blood gushed out uncontrollably.
Before I could even get up from the ground, countless black vines suddenly sprouted from the ground and quickly wrapped around us.
With a "thud," it sounded like a sharp blade piercing flesh.
I turned my head and saw a thick vine wrapped around Grandpa Jin.
The sharp barbs on the vine pierced deeply into Jin Ye's shoulder, and bright red blood slowly flowed down the barbs.
"ah!"
Jin Ye let out a scream of pain, his body instinctively struggling, but only causing the vines to dig deeper.
Before Jin Ye could recover, another vine struck like lightning, precisely wrapping around his other arm.
The two vines, like two cold and merciless iron hooks, suddenly exerted force, suspending Master Jin in mid-air.
Jin Ye's feet were off the ground, his body swayed helplessly, and his hands were tightly bound by vines, making it impossible for him to break free.
Like a lamb to the slaughter, completely at the mercy of others.
Just as I was anxiously looking at Jinye, who was hanging in mid-air by vines, a sharp pain suddenly shot through my thigh.
I instinctively looked down and saw a black vine covered in sharp barbs piercing my thigh.
The barbs on the vine embedded themselves in my flesh, and blood gushed out rapidly along the vine.
"ah!"
I couldn't help but let out a shrill scream, my body trembled uncontrollably, my legs went weak, and I could barely stand.
Before I could recover from the sudden, intense pain, even more vines, like wolves that had smelled blood, surged towards me.
They quickly wrapped around my arms and one leg, then suddenly exerted force, suspending me in mid-air as well.
I was like prey caught in a spider's web, struggling helplessly, only to have the vines tighten their grip and the thorns dig deeper.
The pain in my thigh came like a surging tide, wave after wave, almost making me faint.
The three of us were then hoisted up by the vines.
The giant python had already slithered over quickly and wrapped its thick body tightly around me.
I felt like my ribs were about to be crushed one by one, and every breath was accompanied by excruciating pain.
My chest feels like it's being pressed down by a mountain, unable to expand.
The giant python slowly opened its enormous mouth, and a foul, pungent stench wafted out.
Just as it was about to swallow my head, a bright light shot out from the darkness and struck the giant python hard.
With a deafening roar, like a thunderclap from a clear sky, everyone's eardrums throbbed painfully.
The giant python's massive body flew backward uncontrollably, like a cannonball that had been fired.
It left a long, alarming trail on the ground, stirring up stones and dust that filled the air and made the space even more chaotic.
