"Eat if you're hungry, why are you taking my phone?"
I rolled my eyes, snatched the phone back, put it in my pocket, and headed towards the noodle shop.
The noodle shop was small, with only seven or eight tables. It was a little past two in the afternoon, past lunchtime, so there weren't many people there. Besides us, there was only one girl dressed in black.
The noodle shop's chef and owner was an old man in his fifties, while the waiter was a young man in his early twenties, who was sitting at an empty table playing on his phone.
The owner greeted us warmly as we entered.
"What would you three handsome gentlemen like to eat?"
I glanced at the menu on the wall, ordered three simple bowls of noodles, and then continued to look up auspicious days on my phone.
To be honest, I didn't have much of an appetite, after all, I had sewn up two corpses that morning, each one more gruesome than the last.
I ordered a bowl of noodles just to appease my stomach.
Luo Tianhe and Li Huai were similar. Normally, Luo Tianhe would order a lot of food. No, he would never eat at a small noodle shop like this.
Seeing that I was looking at the calendar again, the two of them started talking about the funeral home.
Although the general framework is almost ready, there are still many details that need to be perfected.
Old Dao is still lying in his grave, so Luo Tianhe is naturally very concerned about the funeral home.
As for Li Huai, it was to repay the kindness that Luo Tianhe and I had shown him.
Soon, the noodles were ready, and the nonchalant young man brought them over, which immediately made us furious.
He actually served the noodles with chopsticks stuck upright in them!
Luo Tianhe slammed his hand on the table and stood up with a loud "bang."
"Are you fucking offering food to the dead? The chopsticks are set up like that?"
"I'm afraid it'll fall off if I put it on the bowl,"
The young man felt a little guilty seeing Luo Tianhe's temper, but when he saw the young women at the other table looking at them with surprise, he felt he had lost face and stubbornly retorted:
"Besides, it's the 21st century already, and you still believe in these demons and monsters! If you don't like it, I'll pull it out for you."
"Get lost! You're asking for it!"
Seeing that Luo Tianhe was about to make a move, I grabbed him and said:
"Clean up the dishes and serve three bowls of noodles again."
"impossible!"
The young man was startled by Luo Tianhe and took several steps back, almost knocking over the table. He was now somewhat embarrassed and angry.
Our argument caught the boss's attention. Seeing the three bowls of noodles on the table, he immediately apologized profusely.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry,"
"Bring three more bowls of noodles."
I couldn't be bothered to say anything to them, so I just repeated what I had just said.
"Oh, gentlemen, we're just a small business. How about I give you a free drink?"
"Dad, I think they're just trying to scam us out of drinks. A bunch of grown men, each ordering a bowl of noodles, they're so poor. They should be grateful they have anything to eat, yet they're complaining about this and that!"
"Me, poor and stingy?!"
Luo Tianhe was so angry he laughed. He was dressed modestly, but all of his clothes were designer brands, but the waiters at the noodle shop didn't recognize him.
I'm getting a little impatient too.
The chopsticks are stuck straight up in the bowl, which is meant to be offered to the dead, and it is believed that this will attract wandering ghosts from the neighborhood to come and eat.
The three of us already have a lot of yin energy, making us prone to attracting ghosts, and now it's gotten out of control.
I can already feel the temperature in the vicinity starting to drop.
When I opened my third eye, I saw that yin energy was indeed gathering. When I casually glanced at the girl in black eating noodles in the corner, my pupils shrank.
A pale-faced woman behind her was giving me a sinister smile.
This isn't something that just arrived; it's been here all along!
I froze on the spot. Even without using my third eye, I could sense ordinary ghosts.
But I didn't notice her at all until I accidentally saw her with my third eye!
Luo Tianhe pulled out a wad of hundred-yuan bills, at least a thousand yuan.
"Here's what we'll do: you eat this bowl of noodles, and all the money is yours!"
Immediately, the noodle shop owner's son's eyes widened, and he stepped forward to grab the chopsticks.
At this moment, the chopsticks began to move out of thin air, as if someone was eating.
The young man, however, seemed oblivious and absentmindedly picked up the chopsticks.
Using chopsticks now is like fighting ghosts for food; the consequences are far more serious than you might imagine.
The noodle shop owner immediately kicked his son to the ground, then knelt down and kowtowed, saying:
"Grandfathers, we were wrong. I will redo it for you right now. Please, please stop using your supernatural powers."
He wasn't stupid; he knew his son had done this before.
Nothing happened before, but today we met a few people we're particularly wary of, and then we saw a ghost. They said it had nothing to do with us, but how is that possible?
"Hehe, you're wrong. This isn't our supernatural power. You should thank your son. It was so quiet just now. Look how lively it is now."
Luo Tianhe pointed gleefully at the wobbling bowl and chopsticks.
"Grandpas, please, please help me drive them out! I'll never do it again!"
The noodle shop owner held down his son, who was still unconscious after being kicked, staring intently at the bowls of noodles.
"Serves you right!"
Luo Tianhe spat, looking somewhat puzzled as he saw me standing there in a daze.
How could such a small scene scare me?
"Hey, what's wrong with you? Are you trying to scare them?"
I snapped out of my daze and whispered:
"Come on, there's something big here."
Big guy?
The gloating smile on Luo Tianhe's face vanished.
He stood up, pulled Li Huai along, and walked outside.
"This whole thing was caused by your son, it has nothing to do with us. Your son is too greedy, it's better to knock him out than to make him fight ghosts for food!"
I threw those words down and walked out the door.
Although this young man is despicable, he doesn't deserve to die.
Upon reaching the door, the temperature was noticeably higher. Luo Tianhe rubbed the goosebumps on his body and asked:
"What big guy?"
I glanced into the noodle shop, and the girl acted just like any other onlooker. She watched us argue, ate some gossip, and then continued eating her noodles while scrolling through her phone.
I guess they didn't even see the chopsticks moving out of thin air.
"That girl is possessed by a female ghost."
To put it simply...
"How is that possible? I don't see any symptoms of being possessed by a ghost in that girl."
When a normal person is possessed by a ghost, they are considered to be pale and weak, which is considered good. However, the girl just now was almost normal except for being a little thin.
So we didn't even notice her at the time!
I said I knew that too, otherwise I would have discovered the ghost long ago. It wouldn't have taken until I used my third eye to find out.
"This is unbelievable, there are such eerie things."
Luo Tianhe muttered a few words, seeing that I showed no sign of leaving,
What are you planning to do?
"Let's wait for that girl to come out and chat for a bit. The room is too gloomy right now, which could easily trigger the female ghost's reaction."
I said calmly.
As far as I know, there is only one possibility: being possessed by a ghost without any side effects.
