Who's here?
The moment the thought crossed my mind, a bone-chilling cold instantly enveloped my entire body.
In the blink of an eye, a fierce wind, carrying sand and stones, swept in, covering the sky and the earth.
The sandstorm stung my cheeks, making it almost impossible to open my eyes.
Amidst the howling wind, I could vaguely see a red figure slowly emerging in the distance.
In the blink of an eye, that red figure drew even closer.
It was as if I had suddenly teleported a long distance forward.
What's going on?
I rubbed my eyes and looked again.
This time it's even closer.
"Stop looking! One glance and you're almost three points behind! Let's go!"
Grandma Sun urged.
Without hesitation, I grabbed Xiaomi and followed closely behind Grandma Sun, stumbling and rushing into the house.
As soon as she entered the house, Grandma Sun quickly turned around and slammed the door shut. Then she took out several red paper figures from her bosom and stuck them on the doors and windows.
"Grandma Sun, who has come?"
Xiaomi was already so frightened that her face turned ashen, and she asked in a voice that was almost crying.
Grandma Sun gave me a deep look: "You've come to see him."
No sooner had he finished speaking than a violent impact rang out.
The whole house started shaking, as if something was desperately banging on the door.
With each violent impact, the paper figure pasted on the door began to slowly burn.
Strangely, the flames were not the usual orange-red, but rather a deep, dark blue-purple.
With each jump, the paper figure's outline became a little blurrier, and its features gradually distorted, as if it were struggling in pain.
Seeing the change in the paper figure, Grandma Sun quickly took out a handful of cinnabar from her bosom and drew a strange symbol on the ground.
After finishing the drawing, she took out an incense stick, lit it, and placed it steadily in the center of the symbol.
"You all stand inside this circle, and whatever you do, don't step outside of it!"
We dared not disobey in the slightest and quickly followed her instructions to stand in the circle.
"Grandma Sun, do you know who that woman who keeps following me outside is?" I couldn't help but ask.
Grandma Sun shook her head: "I don't know about that, but I think you must have offended her, otherwise she wouldn't be chasing you so relentlessly."
Did I offend her?
How could I possibly offend her when I don't even know who she is?
Could it be Bai Su?
Looking at the woman in the red dress, holding scissors, she did resemble Bai Su somewhat.
But Bai Su has clearly already been exorcised by me.
Just as I was lost in thought, the violent impact suddenly stopped, and the whole room fell into a deathly silence.
"Did she leave because she couldn't get in?" Xiaomi poked half her head out from behind me.
Suddenly, a creaking sound came from the window.
It sounds like something is slowly scraping the glass.
A soft "snap" sound.
A pale face suddenly appeared on the window.
His skin was deathly pale, as if life had been drained from him. Thick tears of blood slid down his cheeks and dripped onto the windowsill, making a "drip-drip" sound.
Long hair covered most of her face, and we could only vaguely see a strange smile on her lips as she stared intently at us.
"ah!"
Xiao Mi screamed in fright, tightly closed her eyes, covered her ears with her hands, and her body trembled uncontrollably.
It's Bai Su!
But hasn't she already been released from the cycle of rebirth?
"Don't be afraid, she can't get in!" Grandma Sun seemed quite calm.
No sooner had he finished speaking than the surrounding air turned icy cold.
Bai Su's previously lifeless face suddenly twisted, and she let out a sharp, piercing laugh that made everyone's heart involuntarily clench.
Then, her hand, which had been hidden in the darkness, slowly emerged, revealing five long, sharp, crimson fingernails.
The paper figure, which was regarded as a protective barrier, burst into flames and turned to ashes with a "whoosh" when touched by a fingernail.
They let the ghostly hand go straight in.
"How is that possible!"
Grandma Sun's expression changed drastically, and she quickly pulled out a yellowed talisman from her waist and threw it at the ghostly hand.
The talisman burned in the air, emitting a dazzling light.
With a hissing sound, the ghostly hand seemed to be struck by a powerful force and quickly retracted.
Grandma Sun's forehead was covered in sweat, and she was breathing heavily.
"This beast harbors too much resentment; ordinary talismans are becoming less and less effective against her."
At this moment, the wind outside the window grew even stronger, making the window rattle and bang, as if it would be blown apart at any moment.
Bai Su's resentful voice echoed in the room.
This time, her voice seemed closer, as if it were right next to our ears.
"Give me back my things! Give me back my things!!"
Xiaomi was so frightened that she collapsed to the ground.
I know exactly what Bai Su wants me to repay.
The problem is, her head isn't with me either.
I yelled at the window, "Your head is in my hands! If you dare touch me, I'll have Jin Ye destroy it!"
"You dare!"
Bai Su's figure reappeared at the window, letting out a shrill scream as she rushed towards the house.
With a loud bang, the window shattered, and shards of glass flew everywhere.
"Give me back my things!"
Bai Su's face was almost pressed against mine, so close that I could clearly see the blood and tears streaming down her face and smell the pungent stench of decay.
Hold!
Bai Su must be crazy!
I threatened her with her head, and she still dared to lay a hand on me. Isn't she afraid I'll destroy her head?
