Chapter 1555 is much scarier than Sadako.

Perhaps it wasn't Liu Guohua or the deputy factory director's daughter who killed Chen Xiaofang, but someone else entirely.

That's the man wearing green canvas shoes!

Liu Guohua witnessed or participated in the murder, and was then killed here by the real murderer, presumably to silence him!

And whose are those red cloth shoes?

She was so fierce, and she clearly harbored hatred towards Liu Guohua.

We stood at the edge of the pit, looking at the two skeletons that silently told the story of the past tragedy.

With reasoning and guessing, and clues tangled up like a tangled mess, if this continues, we will not only fail to sort things out, but we will become even more confused!

"Damn it, stop guessing and just summon the spirit!"

I took a deep breath and made up my mind.

Li Huai and Luo Tianhe were both startled.

"Recall them, Brother Yan, is this feasible? Which one should we recruit?"

"We only have men here, so they can only possess us. We can only choose Liu Guohua."

Luo Tianhe, having witnessed my numerous summonings of spirits, believed he possessed some understanding of them, and spoke.

I turned to look at him and pointed to the decaying bones in the pit: "Look at him like this, do you think there's any chance of bringing his soul back? His bones are almost rotten; he's probably already been reincarnated, maybe even older than us!"

"Besides, that kind of soul-summoning requires birth dates and times, do you have his birth dates and times?"

Luo Tianhe was speechless for a moment. Seeing me, he said somewhat angrily, "Then you said you want to summon a soul. Doesn't summoning a soul require a person of the same sex to speak in our voice?"

"That's normal. Do you think the situation is normal now? Xiaofang and the owner of those red cloth shoes have both become vengeful ghosts. Just let them talk about it themselves!"

"The tokens are already there: the bracelet and the cloth shoes."

Upon hearing this, Li Huai and Luo Tianhe exchanged a glance, realizing that this was another way to do it.

"So, are we looking for Xiaofang, or the owner of the red cloth shoes?"

Li Huai scratched his head and asked as well.

"Only children make choices; adults want it all. They'll bring in both. Right here, using these things as a starting point, let's get to the bottom of this!"

I said in a deep voice.

Summoning a spirit is no easy task, especially when the target is a malevolent spirit that died violently many years ago and harbors deep resentment. Such a spirit is extremely dangerous and can easily turn against its master.

But it is the fastest and most direct method!

I'm getting very impatient and just want to find out the truth as soon as possible and end this farce.

Seeing my serious expression, Luo Tianhe and Li Huai didn't say anything more.

I asked Luo Lianhe for help. Using the two skeletons in the pit as the center, I first drew a simple soul-guiding circle on the ground with cinnabar mixed with glutinous rice.

Then, a white candle was placed in each of the four cardinal directions outside the circle.

Luckily, we were driving Luo Tianhe's van, which had a lot of things we had prepared inside.

If you take a taxi or ride in Zhou Ming's car, then there's nothing I can do.

Then I placed the red cloth shoes, silver bracelet, and other items at the center of the formation, and stood alone inside the circle.

At the same time, he instructed Luo Tianhe and Li Huai to retreat five meters away from the circle, and not to come in or make a sound, no matter what they saw or heard!

Zhou Ming is still unconscious, and we've placed him by the car a little further away.

After calming down a bit, I bit my tongue and dripped my semen into a small bowl of water, adding a little incense ash.

Then, using his fingertips to dab the blood, he drew a simple talisman for communicating with the underworld on his forehead and on each of his palms.

After doing all this, I sat down cross-legged, closed my eyes, and began to chant the incantation for summoning the soul.

"Wandering souls, where do they linger? Their three souls have long since departed, and their seven spirits have arrived. They roam by rivers and in the wilderness, in temples and villages, in palaces and prisons, in graves and forests!"

As I chanted, I suddenly looked up and opened my eyes, my gaze sharp and my demeanor imposing: "I now beseech the Five Mountain Gods, the Wandering Generals, the Local Earth God, and the Kitchen God of the Household to investigate the true soul. Reclaim the possessing body and rebuild your spirit. Heavenly Gate, Earthly Gate, the thousand-mile-long child brings the soul! Quickly return to hear my questions... So be it!"

As I chanted, the surrounding light gradually dimmed, even though the sun was rising higher in the east.

The white candles placed in the four corners suddenly shot up, turning a ghostly green.

The cinnabar glutinous rice rings on the ground began to glow with a cold white light, and I couldn't help but shiver.

"They're here!"

I let out a silent sigh, feeling both the joy of success and the worry for those who came after me.

After all, these two are both vengeful ghosts; one wrong move and things could go awry.

Within the Soul Guiding Circle, two blurry shadows gradually appeared in the previously empty space.

To the left, near Chen Xiaofang's remains, is the outline of a woman.

But she was hunched over, like an octogenarian, and her whole body was soaking wet, with a thick, scarlet liquid dripping from her.

Her hair was disheveled and stuck to her face like seaweed, making it impossible to see her features. Only through the gaps in her hair could one see a pair of pale, pupil-less eyes staring straight at her own skeleton.

Luo Tianhe and Li Huai, who were in the distance, were almost scared to death. They hadn't expected the thing they summoned to be so terrifying.

I glanced at them; they knew they hadn't thought the summoning of spirits was that scary.

After all, no matter how strange things were before, the souls that were summoned were still the bodies of the superiors, so they weren't that terrifying.

But now they are all in the form of the evil spirits themselves.

Having been dead for so many years, their resentment and yin energy have long since eroded their human form, leaving only this most essential pain and malice.

Sure enough, the shadow on the right was even more terrifying.

It was an outline wearing a tattered red shirt, but its movements were extremely unstable, flickering like a television with a poor signal.

It inexplicably reminded me of Sadako from the movie Midnight Horror that I watched before.

However, this thing is much scarier than Sadako; at least Sadako didn't show her face.

Her face was completely rotten, with live maggots wriggling inside, leaving only empty holes where her facial features should have been.

I swallowed hard. My method of summoning spirits was actually a clever trick, making them mistakenly believe that I was a king from the underworld.

If they discover my true identity, I'm afraid I'll die a terrible death.

The formations I've set up now can confuse my form, making me appear as a tall, imposing ghost or deity in their perception.

So I told Li Huai and Luo Tianhe not to make a sound. If they did, and they realized something was wrong, none of us would be able to escape!

I forcibly suppressed the fear in my heart, concentrated my energy, and transmitted my thoughts to the two terrifying ghost figures through the Netherworld Talisman.

"You two, I have summoned you here today only to seek the truth. Who harmed you? Where is Liu Guohua? And who is that man in the green liberation shoes? Speak quickly!"

My thoughts were like a pebble thrown into stagnant water, instantly triggering a violent reaction. The wet, blood-dripping ghostly figure on the left trembled violently.
