Chapter 275 Mission Completed

Ning Zhiheng didn't find it in the bedroom, which didn't match his previous judgment. People always keep the things they value most close to them, otherwise how could they feel at ease?

Oh, right, there's a suite in this house, a very large suite. It must contain the items that Kawamoto Kuraji cares about most, rare antiques, or the top-secret information he needs!

Ning Zhiheng returned to the living room and quickly found a side door. Although the door was not large, Ning Zhiheng knew that it was a metal door covered with pure steel, supported by three bearings, and extremely sturdy. It could not be opened by external force unless a key was used. It had taken the renovation workers a lot of effort to install it.

Ning Zhiheng took out the bunch of keys, selected one based on Pang Xiu's instructions, and inserted it into the keyhole. Sure enough, it was the right one again!

He pushed open the door and entered the room, only to find that, just as he had expected, the room was filled with precious antiques that Kawamoto Kuraji had collected over the years.

Ning Zhiheng didn't bother to examine the treasures closely. His goal today was the top-secret information held by Kawamoto Kuraji. He carefully searched the room and, sure enough, found a safe in the innermost corner.

Ning Zhiheng was somewhat familiar with the style of this safe. He had seen this type of safe when he went to buy a safe before; it was the highest-grade kind.

It requires both a key and a combination lock to open, and the round combination lock is a six-turn lock, meaning a six-digit combination is required to open it.

Among the bunch of keys in Ning Zhiheng's hand was a key specifically for opening safes, but the combination to open the safe was missing. It seemed that the key would have to be Kawamoto Kuraji. Hopefully, he could get something out of him.

Interrogating Kawamoto Kuraji is impossible. This is the Japanese consulate, the heart of the enemy's territory. If Kawamoto Kuraji is given a chance to speak, a single cry for help will be enough to seal our fate. The only way is to subdue him by surprise, then inject him with potassium chloride and extract his memories at the moment of his death. If we are lucky, we can extract the code. If not, we can only retreat quickly, because eliminating Kawamoto Kuraji is the most important thing.

Ning Zhiheng slowly left the room, closed the door, and returned to the bedroom. He crawled under the bed and waited quietly for Kawamoto Kuraji to return.

An hour passed, and around 10 p.m., clear footsteps finally came from outside, getting closer and closer.

Ning Zhiheng listened carefully and heard the footsteps of two people. The footsteps stopped at the door.

Kawamoto Kuraji and his trusted confidant Kurita Taro walked to the door. Kawamoto Kuraji turned around and said, "Kurita, the things arranged for today need to be done as soon as possible. It's getting late, you should go back and rest."

"Yes, I'll take care of this matter right away. You should get some rest too!" Kurita Taro bowed, took two steps back, and then turned to leave.

Kawamoto Kuraji watched Kurita Taro leave before turning back, taking out his key, opening the door, pushing it open, stepping inside, and then casually closing the door behind him.

He bent down to take off his leather shoes, put on wooden clogs, and went to the bedroom. He was exhausted after a long day. He took off his clothes, changed into his pajamas, and lay down on the bed.

In recent years, Kawamoto Kuraji's health has indeed been poor. Due to heart problems, he gets tired easily and falls asleep quickly when he lies in bed.

Ning Zhiheng hid under the bed without moving, carefully holding his breath and trying his best to control his breathing, without making a sound.

Time passed slowly, and Ning Zhiheng waited patiently until the snoring from above began. Only then did Ning Zhiheng decide to make his move. He slowly emerged from under the bed, stood up in front of Kawamoto Kuraji, and then took out a thick handkerchief from his pocket and wrapped it around his palm.

Kawamoto Kuraji was fast asleep when suddenly a pair of large hands, like a giant iron clamp, gripped his neck tightly.

He was jolted awake from his sleep, but it was too late. He tried to call for help, but no sound came out of his throat. The artery in the back of his neck was being constricted tighter and tighter. His brain went blank due to lack of oxygen, and he soon lost consciousness.

Ning Zhiheng had been carefully observing Kawamoto Kuraji's reaction. Suddenly, he felt Kawamoto Kuraji's muscles relax, and he knew that he had lost his will to resist.

So he quickly loosened his grip slightly; if he tightened his grip any further, he would really strangle him to death, and that would be a real problem.

He gently released his hand and checked Kawamoto Kuraji's breathing. It was normal. He then checked his neck. Because he had a thick towel wrapped around his hand and had controlled his strength well, there were no bruises on his neck.

Fortunately, everything went smoothly. Without further delay, he laid Kawamoto Kuraji's body back in place, glanced up and saw that the curtains were closed, then took out the medicine bag, removed the syringe and set it aside. He then took out the small flashlight and carefully examined Kawamoto Kuraji's ankle, quickly finding the vein.

He gently felt it with his hand, then picked up the syringe, quickly inserted the needle, pushed it in, and then gently pulled it out. He then walked quickly to Kawamoto Kuraji and pressed his hand against his forehead.

As expected, the blood flow in his veins was very fast. In less than ten seconds, Kawamoto Kuraji's face showed a painful expression, his body twitched slightly, and under the influence of potassium chloride, his heart stopped and he eventually lost consciousness.

At the same time, Ning Zhiheng's thoughts were also directed into the consciousness space, and immediately a series of images appeared in front of Ning Zhiheng.

The first scene shows a classroom full of students, with a young Kawamoto Kuraji standing on the podium, speaking eloquently.
