Chapter Sixty-One: Tears of Despair

Upon hearing Ning Zhiheng's words, Sun Jiacheng's spirits lifted. Finally, his time had come! Ning Zhiheng hadn't assigned him to any of the surveillance operations these past few days; he'd just been following behind Ning Zhiheng without offering any assistance. Now it was time for him to shine!

Ning Zhiheng acted immediately, without even calling for backup. He was confident in his agility, and Sun Jiacheng was an even greater expert. With the two of them taking on Cui Hai, who was caught off guard, their chances of success were quite high.

Kenta Kawakami paid his bill, picked up his suitcase, and turned to walk towards the hotel entrance. Just as he stepped out of the door, he felt a strong gust of wind and was struck heavily on the head without warning. He felt dizzy and as if a giant hammer had hit him on the head.

His head was buzzing and he was completely stunned. His mind couldn't process what was happening. Fortunately, he had practiced martial arts for many years and was an extremely skilled judo practitioner, giving him a level of resilience that was beyond the reach of ordinary people.

He shifted his body backward, casually tossing the suitcase in his right hand at the other person, then dodged with a quick step, his body immediately leaning forward.

He blocked another punch with his left hand. Ah! It was too heavy! This punch was as hard as an iron hammer. His left hand went numb and sore immediately. Damn it! He was attacked from both sides at the same time, and his head was throbbing. In this critical situation, he did not hesitate. He fell to the ground and his knee immediately slammed into his opponent's abdomen. This was naturally a judo technique.

He pressed his body against the other person's, wrapping his arms around their neck and shoulders, following them closely, fierce and ruthless.

Ning Zhiheng did not expect that this Kawakami Kenta was actually an extremely formidable expert. He blocked Sun Jiacheng's auxiliary attack with only his body's instinctive reaction, and then launched a counterattack at an extremely fast speed.

Ning Zhiheng shifted his body to the side, thrusting out with one knee to the side of his opponent's knee, and then swiftly threw a punch, landing heavily on Kawakami Kenta's neck. The force of the punch made Kawakami Kenta's head bounce back, almost causing him to lose his ability to resist.

But Kawakami Kenta seemed to have gone mad, wrapping his hands around Ning Zhiheng's neck and twisting it. Ning Zhiheng immediately felt an unbearable pain in his cervical spine, and his body involuntarily went limp.

Fortunately, Sun Jiacheng delivered a second punch, this time with tremendous force, striking Kawakami Kenta in the lower back. Kawakami Kenta could no longer hold on and broke free from Ning Zhiheng's neck.

Taking advantage of the situation, Ning Zhiheng attacked from both sides, striking Kawakami Kenta hard in the chest with an elbow strike from his right hand and a punch from his left.

Kawakami Kenta could no longer hold on. He was struck hard by two martial arts experts in succession. Every bone in his body felt like it was broken in several places. He was unable to support his body and collapsed to the ground!

The three men moved with lightning speed, almost in an instant, and Ning Zhiheng and Sun Jiacheng knocked down Kawakami Kenta.

Ning Zhiheng felt a sense of relief. He and Sun Jiacheng had almost failed to subdue Cui Hai. It had to be said that the Japanese were indeed more outstanding in terms of intelligence.

Today, Cui Hai's skills are definitely superior to Tetsuya Ryohei's. He almost injured himself during the sneak attack by himself and Sun Jiacheng.

It can be said that these Japanese spies were all quite capable in individual combat; they had overestimated themselves in the past!

Ning Zhiheng took out a pair of handcuffs, stepped out with his right foot, firmly pinning down Kawakami Kenta's right hand, bent down and reached out to grab his left hand, preparing to turn it over and handcuff it.

Suddenly, that chilling feeling returned to his mind—it was that same feeling again! In that critical moment, his eyes swept across the scene and, without him noticing, a metal ring had appeared on the little finger of Kawakami Kenta's left hand as he lay on the ground!

What? Another grenade!

Without the slightest hesitation, he discarded the handcuffs in his hands, lunged at Sun Jiacheng to the side, knocking the unsuspecting Sun Jiacheng to the ground, and then rushed into the hotel.

At the same time, a deafening roar came from behind, and fragments scattered in all directions. A powerful shockwave struck them. Ning Zhiheng felt a jolt in his chest, spat out a mouthful of blood, and felt as if all the bones in his body had been shattered. His whole body ached and he felt weak!

After a moment, Sun Jiacheng, who had been tackled, was the first to recover. The violent explosion made him realize why the captain had suddenly tackled him to the ground. The captain had risked his life to save him at a critical moment!

He grabbed Ning Zhiheng and shook him violently, shouting frantically, "Captain, Captain, how are you?"

Unexpectedly, before his tears could even fall, Ning Zhiheng in his arms opened his eyes, glared at him, and said hatefully, "Stop shaking me like that, or we're really done for!"

Under Sun Jiacheng's surprised and astonished gaze, Ning Zhiheng struggled to his feet and stumbled to the side of Kawakami Kenta, who was covered in blood and completely lifeless. His legs gave way and he slumped down, reaching out to press his hand on Kenta's forehead.

Ning Zhiheng's thoughts quickly entered the consciousness space, but everything was normal, and there was no reaction at all. No memory orbs appeared for Kawakami Kenta, who had died on the spot.

He quickly withdrew from the consciousness space, and, unwilling to give up, placed his hand on Kawakami Kenta's chest again, but there was still no response!

It's over. All that effort was for nothing. Ning Zhiheng collapsed to the ground, feeling bitter and frustrated, but unable to shed a tear.
