Kageyama Yuki shook his head, putting the question aside for the time being. He was more concerned about the lives of Wang Hanmin and Fu Shengyuan.
But he was soon disappointed, because among the six corpses he examined next, Wang Hanmin was one of them. Although his face was slightly swollen, Kageyama Yuuki recognized him at a glance. Upon inspection, he found a bullet hole in Wang Hanmin's temple, which was obviously the cause of death.
Major Yokota introduced, "This is Wang Hanmin. His fatal wound was a bullet in his temple. The bullet has been removed; it was a special bullet for Browning large-caliber pistols!"
Kagesa Hiroki nodded. The Special Higher Police were very professional in this area of examination. He then examined the other bodies but did not find Fu Shengyuan and his wife. It was likely that their bodies had been lost somewhere.
However, one of the corpses soon became unusual and caught the attention of Kagesa Hiroki.
"Who is this person? How come he has so many gunshot wounds?"
Because these bodies had already been examined by the Special Higher Police's forensic team, their clothes had been removed, and the bullet holes in their bodies were clearly visible.
Upon hearing Kagesa Hiroki's question, Major Yokota quickly stepped forward to explain, "This man is Xu Yongchang, the captain of Wang Hanmin's guards. He has been shot six times, with different types of bullets."
"Oh!" Kagesa Hiroki perked up immediately. He bent down to examine the wound closely and soon nodded, saying, "The bullets were of different types, and the angles of the shots were varied, including from all sides. This means he was surrounded and killed by a group of people."
After saying that, he stood up, looked at the crowd in front of him, and asked again in a deep voice, "Tell me, why is this happening?"
Major Yokota's eyes flashed, as if he had sensed something, and he spoke first: "This person is the assassin. He shot and killed Wang Hanmin, and then the guards around Wang Hanmin fought back, so he was surrounded and killed!"
“That’s right!” Kagesa Hiroki said loudly, pausing for a moment before glancing at everyone. “This explains why a shooting incident still occurred on a plane that had already been planted with yellow phosphorus.”
Moreover, Wang Hanmin only had one bullet in his body, which means there was only one assassin. If there had been multiple assassins, he would have been shot more than once in that situation.
So, Xu Yongchang, who was shot multiple times, his stance is self-evident. I believe the events unfolded as follows: Xu Yongchang planted yellow phosphorus on the plane carrying Wang Hanmin, and instead of leaving, he boarded the plane with Wang Hanmin. After the plane caught fire, he realized Wang Hanmin was preparing to escape and, fearing he would get away, he seized the opportunity to kill Wang Hanmin. However, he was then returned fire by other personnel, sustaining multiple gunshot wounds and dying. This man is the true culprit in this incident!
Kagesa Hiroki's analysis was clear and logical, based on accurate evidence, which convinced everyone.
"This person knew he was going to die, yet he still boarded the plane to assassinate him?"
"It's not surprising that there are admirable warriors in every faction!"
Kagesa Hiroki pointed at Xu Yongchang's body and said to Major Yokota, "Search his personal belongings carefully. I want to see if there are any clues."
"Yes, sir!" Major Yokota stepped forward to answer the order, turned and left, and soon returned, followed by a forensic doctor in a white coat.
The forensic doctor, carrying some clothing, quickly approached Kagesa Hiroki, bowed respectfully, and said, "General, these are the clothes Xu Yongchang was wearing. I have put them away according to their numbers. Please examine them!"
After speaking, the forensic doctor respectfully placed the clothing on the operating table beside him, and then handed a pair of white gloves to Kagesa Hiroki.
Kagesa Yuki took the white gloves, put them on gently, and stepped forward to carefully examine the clothes. Xu Yongchang's clothes were simple, and there were no miscellaneous items in his pockets. However, Kagesa Yuki quickly discovered that there was a small booklet in the upper pocket of his shirt.
He was overjoyed and took a pair of tweezers from the side of the workbench, intending to take the booklet out.
The booklet was clearly softened by the seawater; it tore easily with just a gentle touch.
Kagesa Hiroki frowned and turned to the forensic doctor, saying, "My hands are unsteady, you take over!"
In terms of professional expertise, Kagesa Hiroki decided to let the forensic doctors handle the case, as they were experienced surgeons and knew exactly what they were doing.
"Hi!"
Upon hearing Hiroki Kagesa's order, the forensic doctor dared not delay and quickly stepped forward to take the tools, gently removing the booklet as instructed.
"Pry it open little by little!"
The forensic doctor's operation was very steady, but it greatly disappointed Kagesa Hiroki. The booklet was stuck together in a ball, and no writing or content was found.
However, the forensic doctor immediately exclaimed in surprise, for there was half a legal tender banknote tucked in the middle of the booklet. Because the banknote was of excellent quality, far superior to ordinary paper, it had retained its complete shape even after being soaked and softened.
"Excellent!" A hint of surprise flashed in Kagesa Yuuki's eyes!
