Chapter 111 Gambling Agreement
Jiang Tingwan sat at the dining table with the breakfast made by Lu Zhaoye in front of her.
She held the phone in one hand, her fingertips quickly swiping the screen, browsing the project data Zhou Luoyao had just sent, and with the other hand she unconsciously stirred the coffee, her brows slightly furrowed.
The original plan was already impeccable. It was impossible for her to win the project by modifying the plan. She had to find another way.
Lu Zhaoye approached from behind, gently combed her scattered hair with his slender fingers, and whispered: "You have been absent-minded these past two days. Is there a problem with the project?"
Jiang Tingwan didn't even raise her head and just said "hmm" briefly.
Lu Zhaoye sat down opposite her, his eyes falling on her slightly tired face: "If you need help, I can..."
"No need." She interrupted bluntly, finally looking up and meeting his gaze, "I can handle it myself."
Lu Zhaoye looked at her for two seconds. It seemed that she had never asked anyone for help. In the end, he just chuckled and didn't say anything else.

Early in the morning of the third day, Jiang Tingwan stood in Wang Li's office.
Wang Li leaned back in the leather chair, tapping the documents on the table with his fingertips, and a playful smile appeared on the corner of his lips: "Betting agreement?"
"Yes." Jiang Tingwan looked calm, without blinking or avoiding his gaze, "Tingyue is willing to bear 20% of the investment risk in the initial stage of the project."
She paused and continued, "If the project's rate of return is lower than 5% due to policy or market fluctuations, Tingyue will compensate you for your losses in full. But——"
Her voice rose slightly, with a hint of certainty: "If the rate of return exceeds 12%, Tingyue will only take 30% of the excess, and the remaining 70% will belong to you."
Wang Li narrowed his eyes and examined the woman in front of him.
The industry average rate of return is only 8%, but she dared to promise 12%. This confidence is either arrogance or she is really confident.
"Boss Jiang," he suddenly smiled, "Lanqi's qualifications are indeed deeper than Tingyue's, but you are right - this time they are just using the project to suppress you."
He tapped the document with his fingertips, and said meaningfully, "But why do you think I would take the risk and choose Tingyue just for a bet?"
Jiang Tingwan looked straight at him and said calmly, "You should know that Lanqi will not be responsible for your losses at all."
"Once the stock market changes direction, Lanqi will withdraw his investment to protect himself immediately, and you -" she smiled slightly, "can only bear the risk alone."
Even if the withdrawal of investment fails, Lanqi has the support of the Song family. These funds are nothing to the Song family. The project is just a part of his plan to suppress Tingyue.
Wang Li was silent for a moment, then suddenly burst into laughter: "No wonder Lanqi regards you as a thorn in his side."
He picked up the pen and signed his name on the agreement: "Since Mr. Jiang has the courage to gamble, then Mr. Wang will accompany him to the end."

When the news reached Ou Shan, he was in his office on the top floor of Lanqi Building.
The assistant reported tremblingly: "Boss Ou, Wang Li... just signed a contract with Tingyue."
Ou Shan's originally nonchalant expression suddenly turned cold: "What?"
He walked to the French window, overlooking the entire city, with sinister eyes.
He didn't take this project seriously at all. He just wanted to give Jiang Tingwan a warning. After giving the order, he didn't pay much attention to it. However, he didn't expect that she could make a comeback.
"Go check it out." He ordered coldly, "I want to know what methods she used."
The assistant hurriedly retreated, and Ou Shan stared at the Tingyue Group building in the distance, his knuckles clenched until they turned white.
——This time, he underestimated her.
---------------------------------------------------
Zhou Luoyao hugged Jiang Tingwan tightly and almost jumped up with excitement: "Great! I knew we could win!"
Jiang Tingwan staggered slightly because of her shaking, and patted her shoulder helplessly: "Don't be too happy too soon, it's not over yet."
Although the market analysis report showed that the project risk was controllable, Ou Shan would never give up. Jiang Tingwan was not sure whether he would extend his hand further. This gambling agreement was a sure win for Wang's company, but if something unexpected happened, Tingyue would have to bear losses far beyond expectations.
While he was thinking, the secretary knocked on the door and said, "Mr. Jiang, it's Mr. Song calling."
Song Zhi?
Jiang Tingwan raised her eyebrows slightly.
The two haven't been in touch for a long time since their last unpleasant parting.
She picked up the phone, and Song Zhi's slightly tired voice came from the receiver: "I know everything about the gambling agreement between you and Wang's."
"Mr. Song is well-informed." Jiang Tingwan chuckled, "What are you going to do? If I'm not mistaken, your mother may have had a hand in this, right?"
There was silence on the other end of the phone for a moment.
"I'm sorry about this." Song Zhi said in a low voice, "If there are any problems with the subsequent projects, I will bear the compensation."
Jiang Tingwan paused.
She didn't expect Song Zhi to take the initiative to bring this up. Given his current situation - the Song family was in the midst of internal strife, and several illegitimate children were eyeing him covetously, if he helped the rival company at this critical juncture, it would be extremely disadvantageous to him if it got out. His father would probably not approve of this matter, and it might even be used to make a fuss.
"I haven't even started yet, and you're already discouraging me?" She said in a relaxed but serious tone, "Don't worry, I dare to propose this agreement, so I'm sure of it."
There was an almost inaudible sigh from the other end of the line.
"Have you received the gift?" Song Zhi suddenly changed the subject.
Jiang Tingwan glanced at the gift box in the corner of the office. The pure white high-end tube dress lay quietly inside, with tiny diamonds embellished on the hem, sparkling under the light.
"Got it." She softened her tone. "It's beautiful. Thank you."
He saw this when he was on a business trip. He thought it was very suitable for Jiang Tingwan, so he bought it at a high price.
On the other end of the phone, Song Zhi leaned back on the leather seat, and the fatigue of the past few days seemed to be relieved a little. In the cold vortex of the Song family, everyone treated him as a pawn - his father regarded him as a tool, his mother trained him to be a sharp blade of revenge, and his brothers wanted to eat him alive.
Only when he thought of Jiang Tingwan would a rare warmth arise in his heart.
"It suits you very well." He said softly, with a tenderness in his voice that he himself did not realize.
After hanging up the phone, Jiang Tingwan looked at the darkening dusk outside the window, her fingertips unconsciously stroking the edge of the gift box.
The business world is like a battlefield, and everyone is wearing a mask. But in the phone call just now, she seemed to be able to sense the real, tired soul under Song Zhi's mask.
