Chapter 26 Dress
In the dressing room, the chandelier casts soft and bright light, illuminating every inch of the space.
"When you asked for top-notch couture, this is the first thing that came to my mind. It must be very suitable for you."
Lisa was holding a sleeveless, backless evening gown and standing in front of Jiang Tingwan with a big smile on her face.
The skirt was embroidered with fine silver threads, and under the light, it exuded a dreamy, elegant and luxurious luster.
Lisa thought to herself, Jiang Tingwan is so beautiful, but she rarely wears such exquisite and gorgeous dresses, which is such a pity. Today she finally has the chance to appreciate her in this gorgeous dress.
This dress is so beautiful that one cannot take their eyes off it. It is so luxurious in its brilliance that Jiang Tingwan's gaze couldn't help but linger on the dress for a moment.
“Too much.”
She finally shook her head gently, her slender fingertips slowly brushed across the unique hollow design at the waist of her dress, and said softly, "The protagonist tonight is Ruan Yue."
Lisa was about to explain when a figure suddenly walked by.
Jiang Shixu, wearing a well-tailored black suit, stood silently at the door.
His eyes swept across the luxurious skirt, and then fell on Jiang Tingwan's slightly furrowed brows.
"That's it."
He walked straight forward, took the dress from Lisa, and gently put it into Jiang Tingwan's arms, "You don't have to do this."
Jiang Tingwan was slightly startled. The heavy fabric in her arms still carried the faint sandalwood scent of Jiang Shixu.
Before she could come to her senses, Jiang Shixu had already turned around and walked towards the men's cloakroom with steady steps.
His back was as straight as a pine tree, revealing an unquestionable decisiveness.
"It's always like this..."
She murmured softly, with a hint of helplessness in her tone.
Jiang Tingwan was still hesitating. This dress was really too luxurious and she was worried that it would steal Ruan Yue's limelight.
At this moment, Ruan Yue lifted her skirt and turned out like a light butterfly.
The fluffy, transparent sleeves of her gown fluttered as she moved, like a butterfly fluttering its wings.
The layers of tulle train slowly spread out behind her, and every inch of the tulle was dotted with tiny crystals like stars, sparkling charmingly under the lights, making her look like an elf walking out of the moonlight, pure and beautiful.
"I knew it would suit you."
Jiang Tingwan showed a pleased smile on her face. She walked forward and carefully adjusted the veil on her shoulders. She smiled softly and said, "I'm afraid you'll charm all the gentlemen here tonight."
Ruan Yue looked at the strange yet beautiful self in the mirror. She seemed not to have fully reacted yet and she subconsciously clenched her fists nervously.
At this moment, the makeup artist suddenly called out in surprise: "Miss Jiang! Why haven't you changed into your dress yet?"
Ruan Yue turned her head when she heard the voice and saw the skirt in Jiang Tingwan's arms. She smiled faintly and said, "This will look very beautiful on you, sister. Go ahead, sister."
Jiang Tingwan looked at Ruan Yue's smile, and felt warm in her heart. She finally picked up the dress and said, "Wait for me for ten minutes."

The stretched Lincoln moved smoothly through the night, but the interior of the car was shrouded in an unusual silence.
Ruan Yue lowered her head, her fingers unconsciously twisting the thin gauze on the hem of her skirt. Her eyes, which used to be bright and lively, were now filled with uneasiness.
Jiang Tingwan noticed her nervousness, gently reached out and held Ruan Yue's slightly trembling hand.
The warmth from the palm of his hand tried to calm Ruan Yue's inner panic.
Ruan Yue was like a frightened deer, startled by the sudden touch. He raised his head suddenly, and a trace of panic flashed in his eyes.
"take it easy,"
Jiang Tingwan soothed her in a gentle voice, "When I first attended the banquet, I was so nervous that I almost spilled the red wine on Madam Lu."
As she said this, she turned to look at Jiang Shixu who was sitting opposite her, "Luckily my brother showed up in time to help me out."
When Jiang Shixu heard this, he looked up from the laptop he was concentrating on.
Tonight, he was wearing a champagne-colored custom-made suit that was extremely slim-cut, perfectly outlining his perfect body proportions of broad shoulders and narrow waist.
There was a simple diamond collar pin on his collar, which reflected a fine and cold light under the dim light inside the car. His facial features looked even deeper against the shadows.
"Um."
He simply responded calmly, tapped the keyboard quickly with his long, bony fingers, and went back to processing emails.
The Patek Philippe watch on his wrist reflects a cold metallic luster, just like his calm and restrained temperament.
Jiang Tingwan found this a little funny.
This person is always so calm and composed, as if no matter what happens, it cannot disturb his work rhythm.
Her gaze shifted to the car window, where her carefully dressed appearance for the evening was reflected.
The backless dress that she had originally rejected now fits her body perfectly, as if it was tailor-made for her.
Her black hair was elegantly tied into a low bun, with a few strands falling around her ears, adding a touch of lazy charm to her look.
I still remember the stylist's gasp when I walked out of the fitting room, and Ruan Yue's look of amazement.
But at this moment, she hoped that this outfit could help Ruan Yue share some of the attention and invisible pressure from the public.
The convoy stopped slowly and steadily. The welcoming team at the main entrance of the hotel had already lined up neatly, waiting quietly.
Jiang Tingwan was the first to open the car door and get out. The night breeze blew gently across her exposed back, bringing a slight chill.
"Everything arranged?"
Jiang Shixu had come to her side at some point. His champagne-colored suit glowed softly under the light, forming a wonderful contrast with his cold temperament.
Jiang Tingwan nodded slightly and responded, "I sent someone over half an hour in advance to check it carefully."
Then she turned to look at Ruan Yue who was still hesitating in the car, stretched out her hand to her, and said with a smile.
"Come on, you are the brightest star tonight."
Ruan Yue took a deep breath, trying to calm her inner tension, and slowly placed her slightly trembling hand into Jiang Tingwan's warm palm.
At this time, Jiang Shixu closed his laptop and took a last look at the email interface - it was a DNA test report that Jiang's mother had investigated before, which proved conclusively that Ruan Yue was indeed a descendant of the Jiang family.
He turned off the screen, his eyes casually swept over the clasped hands of his two sisters, and nodded slightly, a movement so subtle that it was almost imperceptible.
The tall door of the banquet hall slowly opened, and accompanied by the sound of melodious music, the night belonging to the Jiang family officially began.
