Chapter 59: The Victims It was early morning again.
It's early morning again.
Tu Zhizhuo came out of the master bedroom, yawned, washed up, and got himself ready in just a few minutes.
She patted her face and saw that the person in the mirror had a faint bluish-black color under his eyes.
But she wasn't sleepy at all.
Unlike Su Huaiwang who sleeps like a dead pig after drinking, alcohol often makes her unable to sleep.
It was a bit cold in the morning in late summer or early autumn. She casually put on a coat, tied the two dogs with leashes, and planned to take them for a walk and buy some breakfast.
When she passed by the door of the second bedroom, she opened the door and took a quick look.
Sure enough, Su Huaiwang was still sleeping.
Last night's clothes were thrown messily aside, along with the bath towel and pajamas that Tu Zhizhuo had prepared for her.
She herself was sleeping soundly in the soft depression of the big bed, with her bare shoulders and arms exposed, loosely hugging the big bear that Tu Zhizhuo had placed on the bed.
God knows when Tu Zhizhuo bought this, Su Huaiwang acted as if he couldn't understand it.
Tu Zhizhuo took a look and then looked away.
Well, it's the same as always, I like to act crazy when I drink too much. Fortunately, there were no victims last night.
Unlike one time, when he got drunk and in high spirits, he cut off all of Dahui's hair, which made Dahui depressed for three months.
Thinking of this, Tu Zhizhuo squatted down and touched the gray wolfhound's head: "Fortunately, you ran fast this time."
Dahui looked at her, his blue eyes clear and approving.
Tu Zhizhuo raised the corner of his mouth: "Let's go, let's go out and play, okay? Do you want to go out and play with auntie?"
As soon as they heard the words "go out and play", the two dogs' tails immediately changed from gently wagging to moving propellers.
Xiao Huang even opened his mouth and wanted to scream excitedly.
Tu Zhizhuo put a finger to his lips and said, "Shh, shh, don't shout. Your mother is still sleeping. Don't disturb her."
The dogs raised by Su Huaiwang were all very human-like. When they heard her say this, they immediately shut their mouths and looked at her with their shining eyes.
Tu Zhizhuo put on his shoes and opened the door with his two dogs.
In the corridor, before she could even close the door, she was startled by the uninvited guest:
"who?!"
The man standing at her door with his arms folded was quite speechless: "Why are you shouting so loudly so early in the morning?"
Tu Zhizhuo finally saw her face clearly and his jaw dropped in shock: "Lin, Lin Jue?!"
Lin Jue had a headache. He raised his hand and pressed his solar plexus, saying helplessly, "It's me. Keep your voice down."
Tu Zhizhuo finally realized what time it was and lowered his voice: "Why are you here?"
As he spoke, he felt something was wrong: "How do you know where my home is?"
Lin Jue waved the phone in his hand: "I'm here to pick up Su Huaiwang."
"So early?"
“It’s better to arrive earlier.”
Tu Zhizhuo recalled how she looked when he saw Lin Jue. The other party was standing at the door of her room, like a straight shadow. He seemed to have no intention of knocking on the door, but also seemed to have been standing there for a long time.
She couldn't help but ask, "When did you arrive? Why didn't you tell me so I could pick you up?"
The security guard actually let her in?
Lin Jue's tone was a little cold: "No need to trouble you - is Su Huaiwang awake?"
She really can't leave Su Huaiwang out of her mind. Tu Zhizhuo sighed, but still answered honestly:
"Not yet. She drank quite a bit last night, so she'll probably be asleep for a long time. Why don't you come in and wait?"
Lin Jue lowered his eyelashes and answered irrelevantly: "What are you going to do?"
She lowered her head and looked at the two dogs rubbing against her legs. Su Huaiwang bought them many collars, each one exquisite and beautiful.
"Walk the dog and buy some breakfast."
Lin Jue raised his head and looked at her again.
For some reason, Tu Zhizhuo always felt that the exquisite girl in front of him gave a different impression from the last time they met.
If the first time she met her, she felt a mixture of the coolness of jade and the warmth of a spring breeze, then what she felt now was a gloomy and dead air, covering the girl's brows, cold, but with an indescribable gloomy charm.
Perhaps it was because of the draft, but Tu Zhizhuo shuddered unconsciously when he looked at those dark amber eyes.
Lin Jue smiled faintly: "Can I go in and wait first? Don't worry about me, just do what you need to do."
Tu Zhizhuo quickly said, "Of course you can, but I can't let you stand in the hallway all the time... By the way, why didn't you ring the doorbell or send me a message just now?"
The girl's smile faded a little and she looked away: "I was afraid of disturbing your sleep, it's okay to wait a while."
Tu Zhizhuo breathed a sigh of relief for some unknown reason, and smiled warmly again: "Well, between friends, there's no such thing as disturbing each other! Besides..."
There was an indescribable ambiguity in her smile: "I know everything."
Lin Jue's expression changed: "Know what?"
Tu Zhizhuo didn't notice the change in the atmosphere around her, and continued gossiping to himself, "Su Huaiwang said that last night, but when I asked her who was on top and who was on bottom, she refused to tell me... Honestly, could it be that you're really that skilled, and you've made her lose face?"
Lin Jue raised an eyebrow, his expression relaxed, and he smiled: "She doesn't want to tell you? Then I have nothing to say."
Tu Zhizhuo snorted and shook his head in disapproval: "Why are they all like this..."
Muttering, he turned around and opened the door for Lin Jue.
"Then I'll go down first. I won't entertain you. Just use whatever you want. I don't care that much."
The woman squinted her eyes and looked nonchalant.
Lin Jue nodded softly and walked into the apartment.
When passing by her, Tu Zhizhuo noticed the burn marks on her skirt. Although it looked like some kind of art design, Tu Zhizhuo, who had actually played with fire and burned his clothes at home and was spanked by his mother, could tell at a glance.
That was not a man-made mark, but a real mark that could only appear after being burned by fire.
Tu Zhizhuo frowned subconsciously and was about to ask what happened when the door closed in front of her.
Tu Zhizhuo, who was locked outside his home, shrugged.
It’s not a particularly important matter anyway, so I’ll just ask next time.
She threw away all her doubts, picked up the two puppies who were already jumping up and down impatiently, and pressed the elevator button.
-
The style of Tu Zhizhuo's house is very different from Su Huaiwang's.
The spacious and gorgeous interior design exudes exquisite laziness everywhere.
The restaurant table had not been cleaned up from last night's remains, wine bottles were scattered across the table, and the smell was intoxicating.
Lin Jue walked carefully on the expensive and smooth tiles, trying not to make any sound.
Among the smells of other people in the room, Su Huaiwang's scent was particularly unique. Lin Jue followed this clue and walked to the second bedroom. His body became ethereal and he easily passed through the door.
Su Huaiwang seemed to be aware of something in his dream. He wrinkled his nose and rubbed the big bear again.
The curtains have good light-blocking properties, so even if there is abundant sunlight outside, the room will still be dim.
The dark shadow at the head of the bed stared at her in the darkness, with only a pair of richly colored eyes gleaming slightly.
The black shadow leaned down gently, not daring to do more, and could only rub the cheek of the woman on the bed with the tip of his nose.
When I looked up, I was met with a pair of hazy eyes.
"What are you doing?" Su Huaiwang, who had just woken up, had a hoarse and dry voice, almost speaking in a whisper.
She blinked hard, trying to open her eyelids and take a good look at the face of the person in front of her that was covered by shadows.
The other party was obviously panicked, his body stiff and he dared not move.
Su Huaiwang was caught off guard, and snorted softly. He pulled his arms out of the embrace of the big bear and softly put them around the man's neck.
The other person obediently bent down to let her hug him, keeping his waist in an arc that looked so tiring that she didn't know how tired it was.
Su Huaiwang was relaxed, lying on the bed with his head tilted on the other's shoulder, his hands casually touching the other's soft black hair, easing the hangover.
She just felt a little uncomfortable. She always felt like something was poking her, and it hurt when she moved.
"What is this..."
While mumbling, she forced her eyes open and looked down.
The soft, snow-white semicircle was tightly pressed against the rough clothing, moving from time to time and rubbing against her soft skin, causing it to feel a stinging pain.
Lin Jue also noticed that her gaze was moving downwards, and he quickly covered the space between the two of them with his hand to prevent the clothes from further damaging Su Huaiwang's skin.
The faint light illuminated half of the white jaw, and the thin lips were curved, almost flattering:
"Sorry, does this still hurt?"
Su Huaiwang knew that hers was not big, but she didn't expect that it could even wrap Lin Jue's hand.
Even the girl's palms were soft and smooth, but compared to hers, they still seemed too rough.
But the other party had no other thoughts and just stood there. Su Huaiwang only needed to move slightly to pass through her palm.
It didn't look like Lin Jue was doing anything to her, but rather like she was actively putting it into Lin Jue's palm.
Su Huaiwang was silent, his brain was awakened by the coldness of the girl's hand.
She released her arms from around the man's neck and retreated back into the quilt, her fingers tightly gripping the edge of the quilt.
"Excuse me, can you please leave first?"
Lin Jue suddenly became like a puppy that was scolded by its owner. He hung his head in dejection, and for some reason there was a glimmer in his eyes, but he still nodded obediently.
Half a minute later, Su Huaiwang put on his clothes and walked out of the second bedroom.
The mess from last night had been cleaned up. A bowl of steaming noodles was placed on the table. Lin Jue sat facing the bowl and looked up at her: "Eat something. It's good for your stomach."
Su Huaiwang pulled out a chair and sat down.
Because of the alcohol, her mind was still dizzy.
She hesitated to speak: "...Why are you here?"
The smile on Lin Jue's face faded a little: "Did you forget? You asked me to pick you up last night."
Su Huaiwang opened his mouth, but no sound came out.
Of course she didn't forget, she just... The woman pursed her lips awkwardly:
"I didn't expect you to really come." After all, most people would not believe what a drunkard said.
Lin Jue said calmly: "I will believe every word you say."
Even if I wanted to leave her.
Breakfast ended in this atmosphere that was neither awkward nor joyful. While wiping his mouth, Su Huaiwang saw Mimi stretching out from the cat bed. Then he remembered what was missing in the house:
"Where's Tu Zhizhuo?"
"She went to walk the dog and said she wanted to buy breakfast." Lin Jue's voice was not very enthusiastic.
"How long have you been gone? Why haven't you come back yet?"
"About forty minutes or so."
Su Huaiwang glanced at her curiously: "When did you come?"
"She was just leaving when I arrived." Lin Jue said lightly. After that, he looked at her again and said, "Let's not talk about this anymore. When are we leaving?"
Is it so urgent?
Su Huaiwang complained in his heart and gave an ambiguous answer:
"Let's wait for Tu Zhizhuo to come back first."
Hearing her calling him Tu Zhizhuo, Lin Jue lowered his eyelashes and said nothing.
