Chapter 10 Undead

Jiang Wanwan patted Jiang Beixing on the shoulder and said in a deep voice, "Go to the hall and keep an eye on those people. I'll come out as soon as I've organized the evidence. Don't worry, we will definitely get justice for your classmate!"

Jiang Beixing casually wiped his face with his sleeve, then walked out with a murderous look on his face.

After Jiang Wanwan and the others left, they began to throw all the computers, paper lists, and stacks of research and development materials and experimental data from the archives into the space.

"Little girl, why are you throwing everything in there?"

“Master, these are all evidence of those people’s crimes. I need to go back and study them carefully to see how to bring them all to justice.”

Jiang Wanwan carried a black cloth bag to the hall and found that the people who were tied up were still unconscious, but they were all slumped over and covered with shoe prints.

Jiang Wanwan watched as Jiang Beixing stood motionless beside the huge furnace, then moved forward.

A thick layer of grayish-white material lay beneath the stove, and the cabinet door was pulled out, revealing visible bits and pieces of bone inside.

"It's human bones. The resentment here is extremely strong. There seems to be a cave behind this furnace."

Jiang Wanwan tapped around the stove to search for the path, and sure enough, she found an extremely hidden passage. Without Xia Lao's reminder, it would have been difficult to notice the path beneath her feet.

The two of them worked together to move the floor tiles, and a passage that could only be passed by one person at a time appeared before them.

The two walked down the passage and were immediately met with a blast of cold air, which made them, who were dressed in thin clothes, shiver and get goosebumps all over.

"Sis, don't you think this place is creepy?"

Jiang Wanwan looked at the dark cave ahead and had a feeling that something was floating around inside.

"Huh? The vengeful spirit inside hasn't turned into a vengeful ghost yet, nor has it been completely destroyed? That shouldn't be the case."

"Master, what's ahead?"

"Based on my judgment, the vengeful spirit aura emanating from your cousin likely originated from here. And there is probably another exit leading to the outside world ahead."

Surprisingly, however, these originally malevolent spirits have now become ordinary undead. It seems the cave's owner used some mysterious power to help them suppress their inner resentment.

"A vengeful ghost?" Jiang Wanwan was shocked. Since being passively cleansed, her worldview had been constantly being reshaped.

"Sis, why don't we go up? This place is kind of scary!" Jiang Beixing felt a chill running through her, as if something was surrounding her.

“There’s an exit here that leads directly outside. Let’s go out from here!” Jiang Wanwan casually patted Jiang Beixing on the shoulder.

"If we try to find an exit from here, will those spirits stop us?" Jiang Wanwan focused her mind and asked Elder Xia through her consciousness.

"So far, they don't seem to have any ill intentions, but there's a little girl who's always been following your brother around!" Old Xia replied.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Wanwan followed Elder Xia's instructions and swallowed a Breakthrough Pill. Instantly, her vision cleared, and she indeed saw a girl in a blue and white school uniform standing next to Jiang Beixing, talking incessantly.

"You can actually see me?" The girl in the blue and white school uniform asked in surprise when she noticed Jiang Wanwan's gaze.

Jiang Wanwan nodded and asked softly, "Are you Shi Mei?"

The girl in the blue and white school uniform was so excited that her face contorted. She quickly appeared in front of Jiang Wanwan, nodded vigorously to show her agreement, and then said, "Could you please tell your brother that I can't go to see the pansies with him? Tell him not to look for me again!" As she spoke, her eyes revealed endless sorrow and reluctance.

"You can tell him yourself!"

"Sister, who are you talking to? Don't scare me, I'm scared!" Jiang Beixing felt a chill run down his spine as he watched Jiang Wanwan talking to herself.

"Ah! Open your mouth!"

"Sister, what did you give me to eat?" A warm feeling flowed down her throat, and Jiang Beixing subconsciously swallowed. When she looked up, she saw the person she had been thinking about day and night.

"Xiaomei?" Jiang Beixing rubbed his eyes hard with his hands.

"Star, you can see me too?" Shi Mei carefully maintained her beautiful image from her previous life, slowly floating towards Jiang Beixing.

"Alright! You two chat for a while, I'm going to pay a visit to the owner of the cave!" Jiang Wanwan said, seeing Jiang Beixing's reddened eyes, giving them some private space.

Jiang Wanwan continued walking towards the cave ahead, which had been dark before, but suddenly became bright. Inside, a dozen or so students were chasing each other, and when they saw someone coming from the cave entrance, they all turned to look.

If you ignore the fact that their feet are floating, you might think they've walked into a classroom.

"This lady is so pretty!"

"Could she have been killed by those bad guys too?!"

"How pitiful!"

"Huh, is that a living person?" A short-haired boy passed right through Jiang Wanwan's body, startling her so much that her eyes almost popped out of her head.

Upon hearing that she was a living person, the other ghosts surrounded Jiang Wanwan as if she were a rare and precious object.

Hearing their complaints about her, Jiang Wanwan couldn't take it anymore. She coughed twice and said, "Excuse me, everyone, I'm just passing by and have come to visit the owner of the cave. I hope you can introduce me!"

"Huh? You can see us?" The ghosts suddenly fell silent, remembering what they had just said, and stared at each other awkwardly.

"Are you looking for Brother Lin?" Short-haired girl Li Chengfeng broke the silence first.

Jiang Wanwan nodded.

"I'll take you there, but you have to agree to one condition." Li Chengfeng's pale face revealed no emotion.

After agreeing, Jiang Wanwan followed Li Chengfeng deeper into the area. The further they went, the more spiritual energy they could feel, which made every pore on Jiang Wanwan's body relax.

"Could there be a spirit stone vein in here? What incredible luck you've struck?" Even Elder Xia noticed something amiss.

Jiang Wanwan was overjoyed upon hearing this. The spiritual energy in her own space was inexhaustible; this was exactly what she needed. However, she wondered if this spirit stone mine already had an owner.

Upon entering a stone house, Li Chengfeng respectfully addressed the wooden box on the stone table, saying, "Brother Lin, someone is looking for you!"

Jiang Wanwan looked at the wooden box in surprise, and then the box opened by itself, revealing a natural wood hairpin.

"It's a ten-thousand-year-old Yin Wood, an excellent dwelling place for ghost cultivators!"

As soon as Old Xia finished speaking, a figure appeared in front of the table. He was dressed in a baggy "two-foot-five" uniform and wearing an insignia cap. He was a handsome young soldier.

"Little girl, you're looking for me!" Lin Weiguo was excited; this was the first time in decades that a living person had come to him.

"This person accidentally became a vengeful ghost. If he has a good cultivation technique, he might even be able to enter the Dao through ghost cultivation." Old Xia secretly looked around the cave, searching for spiritual veins.

Jiang Wanwan was surprised by his attire. Recalling that era when people were risking their lives, she couldn't help but feel a deep respect. She stood at attention and straightened her chest, replying, "Greetings, senior! I am Jiang Wanwan." Then, she recounted in detail how the underground organization of human traffickers came to the stone cave.
