Chapter 101 The Destruction of Crescent Village

New Moon Village Ancestral Hall.

"Elder, someone asked about that place again!" The speaker was the old man who had led Jiang Qinian to the place. At this moment, his face was fierce, with no trace of gentleness left.

"Oh? You brought the person back?" The old man sitting at the head of the table, who was also the Great Elder of Crescent Village, looked up at the door with eyes as sharp as an eagle.

If Jiang Wanwan were here, she would definitely recognize the person speaking; it was none other than the Great Elder of Crescent Village.

Speaking of which, after Jiang Wanwan took away the spiritual veins and spiritual pearls of Crescent Moon Village, the entire village became a place devoid of spiritual energy, and nothing could survive no matter what was planted.

Left with no other choice, the elder led the villagers to migrate, enduring hardships until they finally found a suitable place on the border of China.

After settling down here, they stumbled upon a place in a canyon that looked like a fairyland. A mysterious blue mist permeated the area, and this mist was exactly what Jiang Qinian was looking for.

To their surprise, they found that after inhaling the mist, their bodies became stronger and more powerful, as if they possessed infinite strength.

However, this secret is known only to the people of Crescent Village, who regard it as a precious treasure and will never easily reveal it to others.

Those who accidentally wandered in last time have now turned into flower mud!

The old man said, "That person was in my house. I drugged him, and it was one of those miracle drugs!"

The elder straightened the small braid hanging down his chest and said, "The same old method, throw it into the pit as fertilizer!"

The old man nodded and strode away from the ancestral hall.

When the old man returned, he quietly opened the door to the room, only to find that the person inside had not been drugged.

He frowned, gritted his teeth, and thought, "It's better to be awake; that's what makes things more interesting."

So he glared at Jiang Qinian and said fiercely, "I originally wanted to give you a quick death, but since you don't know what's good for you, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

Jiang Qinian's resolute face showed a moment of surprise, and she was very puzzled, not understanding why the old man who was just gentle and kind had suddenly become so fierce and terrifying.

Before he could even sigh, the old man had already grabbed an axe from the doorway and was chopping straight at him.

Jiang Qinian's eyes turned cold, and with a light step, she easily dodged the axe attack.

Then, he grabbed the old man's hand and flung him forcefully into the middle of the yard.

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"

The old man muttered to himself, seemingly unable to accept what was happening before his eyes. He had absorbed so much immortal energy that he considered himself invincible and that no one could defeat him.

His straw hat fell to the side, and his pale face appeared faintly bluish in the sunlight.

Jiang Qinian looked at the old man with a sense of vigilance. He realized that the old man's behavior was somewhat unusual and that he had to be careful.

"Who are you? Why are you attacking me?" Jiang Qinian asked sharply.

The old man struggled to his feet, a look of astonishment flashing in his eyes.

"You...you're not an ordinary person! How could you possibly dodge my attack?" The old man's voice trembled.

Jiang Qinian frowned; he began to suspect that a greater secret was hidden here.

"What exactly are you hiding?" Jiang Qinian approached the old man.

Suddenly, the old man's face grew paler and paler, completely bloodless, and his lips gradually turned purple.

A series of low, hoarse roars came from his throat, sending chills down one's spine.

However, in just a moment, the old man's eyes quickly turned a strange grayish-white, losing their original luster and vitality.

"Is this a zombie?" Jiang Qinian's heart skipped a beat, and the thought immediately flashed through her mind.

He couldn't help but recall the zombies he had encountered in the Wang family's underground laboratory. Those were humans who had been infected by the blue mist and mutated, gradually losing their self-awareness and becoming mindless monsters.

So, he waved his hand and a spiritual blade flashed past, the man's head fell to the ground, and a white bead rolled out, which was the divine stone.

Just as Jiang Qinian picked up the divine stone, rustling sounds came from around the house. He looked out through a crack in the house.

I was startled. The area outside was swarming with zombies, numbering in the hundreds.

In fact, these people are all native residents of Crescent Moon Village. It was the divine stone in Jiang Qinian's hand that caused these villagers who had inhaled the blue mist to experience premature poisoning.

Jiang Qinian carefully placed the divine stone close to his body, his eyes resolute. He knew that there was only one way to go now—to fight his way out of the encirclement.

He took a deep breath, his figure flashing like lightning as he rushed towards the door. His spirit blade danced in his hand, and zombies fell to the ground wherever it passed.

However, the number of zombies was too great, and they kept pouring in. Jiang Qinian gradually felt his spiritual energy being depleted, and his clothes were soaked with sweat.

Just then, he noticed the window beside him. Without hesitation, he leaped out of the window.

Outside the window stretched a field, and Jiang Qinian began to run wildly. He looked back and saw that the zombies were still closely following him.

As Jiang Qinian ran, she pondered a solution.

If we leave these zombies unchecked, who knows what kind of trouble they might cause? Therefore, we must kill them all here.

He took out a bottle of spirit-replenishing pills, frantically consuming them, then turned to face the pursuing zombies. He unleashed his full spiritual power, forming a wall of fire.

The zombies were engulfed in flames, rolling on the ground. Jiang Qinian breathed a sigh of relief; at least they were useful. But he also understood that this battle was not over yet…

Zombies can't be killed without decapitating them. They're only temporarily held back; they'll get back on their feet once the fire goes out.

So he drew his soft sword from his waist and charged back without hesitation.

Jiang Qinian wielded her soft sword, each strike precisely aimed at the zombies' necks. As heads fell one by one, the pressure in Jiang Qinian's heart gradually eased.

Suddenly, a zombie lunged at Jiang Qinian from behind. He dodged to the side, and with a swift movement, swung his soft sword, severing the zombie's head.

The zombie with its head full of braids was none other than the elder of Crescent Village.

After a brief respite, Jiang Qinian discovered that most of the zombies around her had been killed.

However, when he turned around, he saw some zombies still wandering in the distance. Jiang Qinian decided to wipe them out completely to prevent future troubles.

He unleashed his spiritual power once more, propelling his soft sword forward, which pierced through the remaining zombies like streaks of lightning. Moments later, there were no more zombies moving on the field.

Jiang Qinian let out a long sigh of relief and dragged his tired body to collect the divine stones. He vaguely remembered that these things were useful to Xiao Guang.

After collecting all the divine stones, Jiang Qinian cast a cleansing spell on herself and then casually found a house in the village to rest and recuperate.

And the canyon is not far from here.

A ragged little beggar was bowing and scraping as he spoke to the long-haired man beside him:

"Sir, if you're talking about mysterious and strange things, that place is the most magical."
