Chapter 23: News from Old K

With a "smack," the person who shouted out was slapped.

"Everyone is in a state of panic right now. In these extraordinary times, people are even afraid to step in dog poop on the street. And you're openly trying to put a load of shit on your own head. If you don't want to live, I'll kill you!"

Yang Qiang recalled that after the KK Industrial Park was raided, Old K acted like a mad dog, attacking anyone he could get his hands on, mainly indiscriminately. Even the pretty boy who saved the gang leader was accused by Old K of being a police undercover agent and was almost skinned alive. Only because of the pretty boy's kindness in saving the gang leader did he suffer less and was used as fertilizer.

"Yes! Yes!" The man wasn't angry at being slapped; instead, he had a fawning smile on his face.

"Brother Qiang, what do we do now that the goods don't match the number?"

"We need to think of a way. That old K is like a mad dog, and I don't want to get bitten by him."

“Exactly, ever since his KK Park was destroyed, he’s gone completely insane!” the man echoed meekly.

"Shut up! How dare you talk about the boss's brothers?" Brother Qiang scolded. "Put the goods away first and wait and see."

The group quickly counted the goods one by one and stacked them neatly.

"Hopefully Old K can keep quiet for a while..." one of them muttered.

However, they were unaware that an even greater storm was about to break...

After everyone left, Jiang Wanwan appeared around the corner and went forward to examine each item, discovering that they were all processed drugs. She waved her hand, storing them all into her spatial storage.

Jiang Wanwan stealthily made her way through the camp, even taking possession of an armory and ascertaining the number of soldiers. She then fed some spiritual spring water to the soldier in the spirit beast pouch, and seeing that his injuries were relatively stable, she returned to her spatial dimension to meditate, waiting to see if Old K would appear the next day.

Unexpectedly, this drug den is connected to the KK Industrial Park. Old K escaped last time, but this time we're determined to catch him.

At dawn the next day, the camp was in an uproar. Under the cover of darkness, someone had sneaked into the camp and carried away all the goods. Even the heavily guarded armory was looted.

"Idiots! Idiots! Are you all mute? So much cargo went missing right under your noses! Even weapons got lost! What are you standing there for? Go find it now!"

Yang Qiang slammed his fist on the table, his mind blank. He had just taken over the camp and such a big thing had happened. He knew he was finished this time!

"Brother Qiang! I asked the patrolmen, and they were on guard all night and didn't find anything unusual."

The visitor bowed his head and reported tremblingly, trying to minimize his presence.

With a loud bang, the teacup on the table shattered on the floor, accompanied by Yang Qiang's voice filled with gritted teeth: "Find it! Find it! Dig three feet into the ground if you have to!"

The visitor nodded nervously in agreement and left the room without looking back.

"Hey! Isn't this our Brother Qiang? I heard that the goods and weapons disappeared without a trace right under the noses of your hundred or so people last night. That's quite a strange thing!"

Yang Qiang completely ignored Old K's sarcastic remarks and bowed to greet the person behind him. The man was dressed in a Tang suit and looked somewhat refined, but a closer look revealed the ruthlessness in his eyes.

Looking at Yang Qiang's obsequious manner, Old K felt a surge of contempt. If they weren't short-handed, his brother wouldn't be using this useless dog.

"Investigate! Find out exactly who did this!" the man in the Tang suit ordered.

"Yes, yes, yes, we will definitely find out the truth." Yang Qiang nodded repeatedly.

At this moment, Jiang Wanwan was hiding in the shadows, observing the movements of the camp. She hadn't expected Old K to arrive so quickly, but luckily she was prepared.

Jiang Wanwan decided to hold back for the time being and see how things went.

"Brother, do you think this might be an inside job? So much cargo and weapons, vanished overnight, how capable do they have?"

Upon hearing Old K's words, Yang Qiang felt an urge to strangle him immediately, but he knew that if he didn't speak up properly, he would definitely not have a good ending.

"Boss, I've followed you for ten years, and I've never wavered! I have a feeling that the people from last night are definitely connected to the KK Park!"

"oh?"

"What did you say?" Old K's face tightened immediately, and his teeth clenched so tightly they clicked.

"KK Park?" The man in the Tang suit narrowed his eyes, revealing a dangerous aura.

Seeing this, Yang Qiang quickly said, "Yes, boss. After the police raided the KK Industrial Park a few days ago, our goods have been mysteriously disappearing. I suspect that those police officers haven't given up and have sent people to steal our goods."

The man in the Tang suit pondered for a moment, then slowly said, "Whoever dares to touch my goods will not leave alive. Give the order to send more men; we must find them!"

"Yes, boss!" Yang Qiang was secretly pleased; he had successfully shifted the blame onto someone else.

"Brother, I want to lead the search myself! If it really is the same group of people, I want to personally dissect and dismember them!" Old K thought to himself that he had only gone out to have fun for a day or two, but when he came back, he found that his money tree had been uprooted. His whole face was contorted with anger.

Black Dragon nodded, then specifically instructed, "Be careful, don't give those cops any leverage over you!"

Old K gave a casual reply and hurriedly left.

Old K led his men in a search of the vicinity, vowing to find the thief who had stolen the goods and destroyed his KK Park. Jiang Wanwan quietly followed them, waiting for an opportunity to strike. Suddenly, she discovered an abandoned warehouse, where there seemed to be some activity. She approached the warehouse and overheard Old K and his men's conversation.
