Chapter 66 The Origin of Earth

Old Xia then took out another jade slip and handed it to Jiang Wanwan.

"This is a basic guide to formations. You've had some exposure to it before, so it shouldn't be too difficult for you to learn."

After finishing speaking, Old Xia returned to his space and continued watching TV series while lying on the sofa, a maternal smile appearing on his face from time to time.

Jiang Wanwan deftly poked the jade slip into her forehead and began to browse through it carefully.

An hour later, Jiang Wanwan opened her eyes, confidently leading Yan Ziyan through a life gate in the canyon into the formation.

As soon as the two entered the formation, all around them was a vast expanse of white and utter silence.

"Senior brother, place these two array flags in the southeast and northeast directions respectively."

Jiang Wanwan took out two pre-prepared array flags and handed them to Yan Ziyan, giving him instructions.

Yan Ziyan took the battle flags and arranged them according to Jiang Wanwan's instructions.

Jiang Wanwan formed hand seals and chanted incantations. Then, with a powerful wave, a beam of light shot out from her hands, striking the void in front of her.

Instantly, the surrounding white mist began to churn violently, forming a powerful gust of wind that swept towards the two of them. Yan Ziyan gripped Jiang Wanwan's hand tightly, doing his best to resist the gust.

A moment later, a crisp cracking sound rang out, and the formation was broken. Jiang Wanwan and Yan Ziyan exchanged a glance, a hint of surprise flashing in their eyes.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, Jiang Wanwan skillfully set up an illusion array to prevent the military personnel outside from breaking in.

Jiang Wanwan and Yan Ziyan continued their exploration along the Grand Canyon. The further they went, the denser the spiritual energy became, almost to the point of solidification.

"The spiritual energy in this place is so rich!"

Yan Ziyan exclaimed in surprise, "Moreover, I feel that many plants and animals have mutated."

As he spoke, he pointed to the bison with its eyes darting around in front of them, and the enormous eagle circling above their heads.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Wanwan nodded in agreement.

“These plants and animals have mutated and become stronger because they have been nourished by spiritual energy. We must be careful.” As she spoke, she released her cultivation power, letting it envelop her entire body.

Sensing Jiang Wanwan's powerful aura, the eagle immediately flapped its wings and soared into the sky, disappearing from sight. The bison, terrified, turned and fled, vanishing without a trace in the blink of an eye.

Seeing this, Yan Ziyan couldn't help but laugh. "It seems it has indeed mutated; it even knows how to seek advantage and avoid harm," he said with a smile.

Jiang Wanwan shook her head helplessly and withdrew her cultivation. "Let's go, let's continue forward and see if we can find anything else," she said.

So the two continued along the canyon, looking forward to more surprises and challenges.

Suddenly, the small snake that had been motionless above Jiang Wanwan's dantian began to stir.

"This place probably contains the origin of the Blue Star!" Jiang Wanwan said, sensing the little snake's unusual movements.

"Did you feel it?"

"No, it's just that the little snake inside my body suddenly became restless. I guess something is attracting it."

As the two were talking, a rumbling sound came from afar. They looked up and saw a layer of blue mist spreading through the valley in front of them.

"What is that?" Yan Ziyan asked curiously.

"We'll know once we get there," Jiang Wanwan quickened her pace.

As they approached, they discovered a strange light shimmering faintly within the blue mist.

"Could this be the origin of the world?" Jiang Wanwan's heart stirred, and she was about to step forward when Yan Ziyan stopped her.

"Wait, something's not right." Yan Ziyan looked around warily.

“That blue mist looks a bit like the superhuman evolution fluid I saw in the Wang family’s underground biological laboratory. There’s probably something wrong with it!” Yan Ziyan explained.

Jiang Wanwan took out antidote pills from her spatial storage, and each of them took one. Then she used her spiritual power to shield herself and Yan Ziyan before continuing forward.

Sure enough, the blue mist had an corrosive effect, and Jiang Wanwan was having a hard time protecting the two of them by herself.

"Senior brother, you should speed up your cultivation. When will I be able to be protected by you?"

Looking at Yan Ziyan, who was being protected by her, looking relaxed, Jiang Wanwan couldn't help but speak up.

Yan Ziyan felt a pang of heartache as he looked at the beads of sweat on Jiang Wanwan's temples. At the same time, he secretly resolved to cultivate diligently and become someone who could protect her as soon as possible.

"Okay, I'll do my best!" Yan Ziyan said earnestly.

As they spoke, the two arrived at the center of the fog. The sight before them stunned them—a stone tablet as tall as a person was emitting a dazzling and strange light.

"Is this the origin of the world?" Jiang Wanwan murmured to herself.

However, before they could get close, the little snake inside Jiang Wanwan flew out.

The snake coiled its entire body around the stone tablet, its little mouth smacking away incessantly. In the blink of an eye, the stone tablet was devoured, leaving not even a single fragment.

After finishing its meal, the little snake let out a loud burp and then flew back into Jiang Wanwan's body, where it lay lazily.

Jiang Wanwan, who was still waiting for the little snake to release its true power, was completely bewildered. What was this?

"It seems that this little snake will need to spend some time refining itself this time. By the time you return to your country, it will be almost fully refined."

Seeing the two people standing there dumbfounded, Old Xia couldn't help but explain.

The two suddenly realized what was going on, and then Jiang Wanwan asked, "Master, what kind of origin is it this time? I haven't even seen it clearly yet!"

Elder Xia transmitted his voice through the space: "It looks like the origin of earth. Alright! Don't disturb my binge-watching!"

Jiang Wanwan watched as the blue mist in front of her did not dissipate after the stone tablet disappeared. She frowned, a sense of worry rising in her heart.

She gritted her teeth and decided to collect the eerie blue mist. She carefully reached out, trying to draw the blue mist little by little into her own space and seal it in a specific place.

"Girl, you're collecting junk again!" Old Xia's disgruntled voice rang out. He had been engrossed in watching a drama when he was interrupted by the sudden appearance of blue mist.

“Master, this isn’t some junk!” Jiang Wanwan explained helplessly.

“This stuff is poisonous and contagious. I don’t want those soldiers from the US to get infected with this toxic fog and become puppets of that person in the higher cultivation world.”

As Jiang Wanwan spoke, she continued to diligently collect the blue mist. As time passed, she felt her spiritual energy gradually being depleted.

At this moment, Yan Ziyan quickly used his spiritual power to open the spiritual power shield, allowing Jiang Wanwan to take the medicine and recover her spiritual power.

After repeated efforts, Jiang Wanwan finally managed to collect all the blue mist into her own space.

"Phew... I'm exhausted." Jiang Wanwan let out a long sigh and wiped the sweat from her forehead.

Although she was exhausted, she was still quite happy. After all, she had successfully solved this tricky problem.
