Chapter 79 Divine Stone

Jiang Wanwan naturally agreed wholeheartedly, knowing that Yangjia Village had benefited greatly from the release of its original essence last time.

After observing Xiao Guang for a while, Elder Xia returned to his space. He could faintly sense a pressure emanating from Xiao Guang, a kind of bloodline suppression.

As soon as Elder Xia returned to the space, the blue mist, now unrestrained, began to spread again.

Xiao Guang formed a hand seal, and a continuous stream of blue mist condensed in his palms, forming a large sphere that shimmered with a bluish light.

Jiang Wanwan and Lin Weiguo watched intently from the side.

A moment later, the sphere in Xiao Guang's palm turned milky white, then shrank continuously until it became a series of crystal-clear pebbles.

"Hey, these are divine stones!" Jiang Wanwan looked at the pile of stones, a hint of surprise and excitement flashing in her eyes.

She recognized the small stones at a glance; they were somewhat similar to the divine stones her senior brother had taken out last time, which Xiao Guang had eaten.

Xiao Guang nodded, revealing a sly smile: "That's right, it's the Divine Stone."

He reached out, picked up a piece, and without hesitation, popped it into his mouth and began to chew. As he swallowed, a mysterious energy flowed through his body.

After finishing his meal, Xiao Guang let out a satisfied burp, then handed the remaining divine stone to Jiang Wanwan: "This is quite useful to me, so please keep it safe for me!"

Jiang Wanwan took the divine stones and carefully placed them into her space. Thinking of the blue mist she had collected last time, she decided to have Xiao Guang deal with it sometime.

Inside the space, Elder Xia secretly took a divine stone and muttered to himself, "Could it be someone from the upper realm?"

Just then, a flash of light appeared, and Xiao Guang transformed into a small snake once again, coiling around Jiang Wanwan's dantian.

"Brother Lin, let's go and see if there's any trace of those scientists!"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Guang gently shifted his body, and a lazy voice rang out: "Those people are already dead, they're in the passageway ahead."

Jiang Wanwan and Lin Weiguo exchanged a glance and cautiously walked in the direction Xiao Guang pointed.

When they reached the end of the passageway, they found several people lying haphazardly on the ground; these were the same people who had been reported missing in the news.

"The souls of these people have all disappeared?" Lin Weiguo frowned, carefully examining the corpses and discovering that their faces had an eerie bluish-white hue.

Just then, a corpse at Lin Weiguo's feet suddenly moved, making a series of cracking sounds.

Immediately afterwards, the other corpses also stood up stiffly, their empty eyes staring straight at them.

"It's come back to life!" Lin Weiguo shouted in terror, quickly retreating to a defensive stance back-to-back with Jiang Wanwan.

Jiang Wanwan examined them closely and concluded that these people must have inhaled the blue mist before turning into the zombies her senior brother had mentioned.

Fortunately, these zombies were not very strong in combat, so a spirit blade slashed through them.

The zombies' heads fell to the ground one after another, leaving Lin Weiguo utterly astonished.

"Brother Lin, you're a ghost cultivator, yet you're afraid of zombies coming back to life?" Jiang Wanwan teased Lin Weiguo while scanning the zombie's head with her divine sense.

Jiang Wanwan actually found several divine stones inside these heads. Xiao Guang looked at them from inside Jiang Wanwan's body, seemingly lost in thought.

"Hehe, it's not that I've been playing the role of a human being for too long and I've forgotten!"

Lin Weiguo cleared his throat strategically to explain, and then began to help Jiang Wanwan search for the divine stone in that white brain matter.

After collecting the divine stones, Jiang Wanwan burned the corpses as a precaution, just in case, since the zombie virus in the novel was contagious.

The two continued walking forward, and as soon as they emerged from the passageway, a stone gate filled with aquatic plants came into view.

Jiang Wanwan waved her hand, and the water plants covering the stone gate fell to the ground, revealing the patterns on the stone gate.

It was a strange symbol, looking ancient and mysterious.

"This symbol is exactly the same as the one on the reef outside. Elder Xia said it's a teleportation array. Could we use this to get back up here?" Lin Weiguo said with delight.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Wanwan couldn't help but get excited. She began searching around, hoping to find a way to activate the teleportation array.

Finally, above the stone gate, she found a groove containing some waste residue left after the spirit stones were used up.

Jiang Wanwan quickly took out a low-grade spirit stone and embedded it into the groove.

Instantly, a dazzling white light enveloped the two of them. Just a moment later, they felt a blur before their eyes, and when they opened them again, they found themselves on a deserted island.

"Huh, why isn't this where we started coming down?"

Lin Weiguo looked around and realized that it was a deserted island.

Elder Xia in the space said irritably, "You two are really lucky. You thought you could activate the teleportation array with just a low-grade spirit stone, and it even managed to send you out."

Jiang Wanwan touched her nose and said, "Hehe! You're used to being frugal!"

Then she took out her phone from the space and started to locate herself, only to find that there was no signal here.

She took out her compass and map, and found that the compass was spinning like a windmill. Damn, was she lost?

"There must be a magnetic field. Why don't we head in one direction first, and then find our way when we get a signal?"

Lin Weiguo offered his suggestion from the side. Just as he finished speaking, a commotion arose not far away, and then a large group of people walked over in a grand procession.

The group's attire was quite peculiar; some were covered in leaves, while others wore tattered clothes, making them resemble a group of savages. Only one or two were dressed relatively normally, but even their clothes were worn and tattered.

Soon, the group surrounded Jiang Wanwan and Lin Weiguo, their eyes filled with greed and desire as they stared intently at them.

"Brother Li, these two suddenly appeared here, they must know how to get out!"

A man with long, black and blond hair bowed and scraped before a burly man with a braid and wearing a black T-shirt.

"Brother Li, look at that girl in the white dress, she looks like a fairy, she'll definitely have a lot of fun! And that girl in the suit and bow tie, she's so fair and delicate."

A man with a pointed snout and yellow teeth, standing next to the burly man, looked at Jiang Wanwan and Lin Weiguo with a drooling expression.

Lin Weiguo stepped forward to block the other party's evil gaze, preparing to teach this group a lesson.

"Stop! Wang Li!"

Five more people arrived from a short distance away. They looked agile, and the leader had a tall and straight posture with clear eyes.

"Jiang Shaojie, it's you again!"

The burly man glared angrily, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Wang Li, I'll say it again, don't you dare try anything with them!" Jiang Shaojie snapped, stepping forward with a sharp look in his eyes.

Seeing this, Wang Li not only did not back down, but instead took a step forward and looked at Jiang Shaojie provocatively.

"Heh, you want to make a move, huh? Brothers, let's go!" Wang Li waved his hand, and the group of men behind him immediately rushed forward.

Jiang Shaojie dodged the attack from the first person who rushed over, then kicked him several meters away.

Soon the two sides were locked in a fierce battle.

When Jiang Wanwan heard the name Jiang Shaojie, wasn't that Jiang Qinian's older brother? Upon closer inspection, the two did indeed look remarkably alike.
