Chapter Seventeen
Xia Zhi practically ran away from that floor, and only when she got into the elevator did she dare to gasp for breath.
She regretted not recognizing Xie Yi's true colors sooner, which led to the current tragedy.
When she reached her floor, she found Sister Zhao looking at her with a strange expression. Xia Zhi composed herself and walked over: "Sister Zhao, I've delivered it."
Sister Zhao forced a smile, then her gaze fell on her wrist, her eyes looking a little strange.
Xia Zhi instinctively covered her hand, but then heard Sister Zhao ask, "Have you finished your work?"

Xia Zhi returned to her seat and worked until the end of the workday. Just as she was about to leave, she suddenly received a phone call.
Xia Zhi realized it was Xie Yi and felt inexplicably guilty, but she still answered the call, "Hello?"
"I'll wait for you at the company entrance." Xie Yi's voice sounded very relaxed.

"Won't you wait for...the new colleague?"
Several colleagues behind them were talking amongst themselves. Xia Zhi saw Xie Yi standing next to a black luxury Maybach, and passersby were all looking over with great curiosity.
He was definitely a tall, rich, and handsome guy, but Xia Zhi had no desire to go over there.
Xie Yi quickly spotted her: "Zhizhi, over here!"
He smiled brightly, and Xia Zhi walked over helplessly.
Xie Yi quickly opened the door for her: "Come in."
Xia Zhi reluctantly got in, and the car quickly drove off. Xie Yi glanced at her indifferently, "What's wrong? You seem so uneasy, it's not like you."
Xia Zhi lowered her voice, "Could you please stop picking me up from get off work in the future? It's too high-profile!"

Xia Zhi explained, "I can live at school."
Xie Yi snorted coldly, "You're in the school dormitory, don't you know you need to renew your fees? I've been paying for you all along, and now you're turning your back on me?"
Xia Zhi's face turned pale instantly; she had never realized this problem before.
She couldn't find the words to refute, so she could only say, "At least... let me pack my things."

Forced by work and dormitory constraints, Xia Zhi could only nod and say, "Okay."
She looked out the window with a hint of frustration, feeling that this was a premeditated scheme, a scheme designed to trap her from the very beginning.
Soon the car arrived in front of a private villa. Xie Yi parked the car in the parking lot and then got out: "Come on, I'll show you your room."
Xia Zhi nodded, her mind already plotting how to escape from here.
Xie Yi seemed to have read her mind, and said with a half-smile, "You want to go back from here? Where are you going? Your dorm room has been emptied out."
Xia Zhi quickly thought of Meng Ziyue and Xu Yu. If those two knew she was staying at Xie Yi's house, they would definitely cause a huge uproar.

Xia Zhi stared at Xie Yi's back as the two walked into the villa. Xie Yi tugged at his collar and then looked at Xia Zhi: "Zhi Zhi, help me take off my tie."

She could only walk forward, because Xie Yi was too tall, and she had to stand on tiptoe to pick up Xie Yi's tie.
Xie Yi chuckled and said, "Go easy, are you trying to strangle me?"
Xia Zhi had never helped anyone untie a tie before, so she awkwardly fiddled with it, ultimately making Xie Yi's tie crooked and askew.
Xia Zhi felt her face getting hot. She suddenly realized that she had been protected too well by the three of them before.
Xie Yi suddenly reached out and gently placed his hand on Xia Zhi's hand, and slowly said, "I'll teach you."
Xie Yi's hand enveloped Xia Zhi's hand, giving Xia Zhi a strange feeling.
Although Xie Yi was helping Xia Zhi loosen her collar, his eyes remained fixed on her, staring intently.
Soon, Xie Yi loosened his tie.
Xia Zhi then took out a tie: "Here you go."
Xie Yi took it and gently leaned back on the sofa. He patted the seat next to him, "Sit down."
Xia Zhi could only sit down, feeling a little nervous.
Xie Yi saw her nervous and flustered for the first time and couldn't help but find it adorable. He used to be so careful around her, treating her like a fragile treasure. But now it was different; he was taking the initiative to approach her.
Xie Yi took a deep breath and sighed, "Zhizhi, are you wearing perfume? It smells so good."
Xia Zhi was startled by his blatantly vulgar words. She stood up abruptly and said, "I'm going to the restroom."
Xie Yi pointed to the room next door: "Over there."
He looked relaxed, as if everything was under her control.
Xia Zhi ran to the bathroom and then locked the door. She had no other plans, only to call the other two.
If these two people had cut in line, wouldn't things have been much easier?
Because she was afraid of making a sound, Xia Zhi first sent a text message to Meng Ziyue, and then added Xu Yu back.
The message she sent was very simple; it was basically that she was grateful for being forced to come to this villa and that they should think of a solution.

Xia Zhi said calmly, "Let things get even more chaotic, there will always be a way out."
After sending the text message, she also sent her location.
After she finished doing all this, she heard Xie Yi's voice from behind the door: "Zhizhi, why are you so slow?"

Xie Yi chuckled and said, "Little liar."
Xia Zhi coughed lightly and said calmly, "I'm hungry."
Xie Yi then let her go: "I'll go make something to eat. What would you like to eat?"
Xia Zhi didn't mince words: "I want to eat steak."
Xie Yi said slowly, "I'll make it for you. You should rest first."
Just as Xia Zhi was about to breathe a sigh of relief, she heard Xie Yi add with a smile, "Make enough for four people, aren't they coming later?"
Xia Zhi almost choked; she hadn't expected Xie Yi to see through her thoughts at a glance.
Xie Yi went to the kitchen. Xia Zhi sat on the sofa, quietly watching his busy figure, wondering what Xie Yi meant by this.
Isn't he afraid of Xu Yu and Meng Ziyue at all?
Xia Zhi couldn't figure out what he was thinking. However, the only thing she could do now was wait for Xu Yu and Meng Ziyue to arrive.
