163. Indecent
Xie Yaoyao barely left her bed over the weekend, even eating her meals in bed.
She hadn't seen Yubao and Doubao in the past two days either.
It seems that ever since Uncle Jian took the person and the dog away, he has never come back to bother them.
Their life together was utterly miserable.
On Sunday evening, after Xie Yaoyao woke up, she scrambled out of the bedroom before Huo Yanxi woke up.
As the sun set, its crimson rays lingered on the horizon. Xie Yaoyao poured herself a glass of water and stood on the balcony to admire the sunset.
The fiery red light shone on her, making her figure appear slender from behind.
The next moment, a warm embrace pressed against her back, pulling her into a hug.
Xie Yaoyao nearly choked on the water. "You...you're awake?"
Huo Yanxi gently put his arm around her waist, his chin lightly brushing against her shoulder blade.
"Why are you up? Didn't you say you were tired?"
Xie Yaoyao's cheeks were slightly flushed. "I told you I was tired, but you didn't let me off the hook."
"I love you," Huo Yanxi said in a hoarse voice.
This love is definitely a verb!
Xie Yaoyao turned around and looked at his peaceful expression, which showed no trace of the ferocity he had displayed on the bed.
She raised her hand and gently traced his eyebrows and eyes with her fingers. "You're too fierce."
Huo Yanxi grabbed her wrist and lightly pecked her palm. "Are you afraid of me?"
Xie Yaoyao shook her head. "I'm not afraid."
Huo Yanxi smiled and kissed the back of her hand again.
"Now you know why I was so restrained when we first got married."
Because once a ferocious beast is released, it is very difficult to put it back in.
Xie Yaoyao's eyelashes trembled. Huo Yanxi said that this was already the result of his restraint.
What would he be like if he didn't restrain himself?
She simply couldn't believe it!
"Then you should try to restrain yourself." Otherwise, how could she possibly handle it?
Fortunately, she has gained a lot of weight and her physical strength is still pretty good, so she managed to keep going even though it was a bit of a struggle.
If it were my former, frail self, I probably would have died in his bed long ago.
Huo Yanxi chuckled softly, noticing her darting eyes, and gently flicked the tip of her nose.
"You said you weren't afraid, you little liar."
Xie Yaoyao thought to herself, "Then aren't you a big teddy bear spirit?"
"This isn't good for you. You need to be more moderate, or you'll regret it when you're old..."
Huo Yanxi felt as if she was seducing him when he saw her lecturing him in such a serious manner.
He suddenly grabbed her waist, lifted her up, and placed her on the railing.
Xie Yaoyao wasn't as scared this time, but she still instinctively grabbed his arm.
She sat on the railing, a head taller than Huo Yanxi. He looked up at her with a hint of submission.
"Are you already worried that your future husband won't be able to make you happy?" Huo Yanxi looked at her teasingly.
Xie Yaoyao's cheeks flushed slightly, and she kicked him, saying, "Be serious for once."
Huo Yanxi didn't dodge; instead, he used his arm to trap her leg. "Am I not proper?"
With one leg restrained, Xie Yaoyao raised her other leg to kick him, only to have it trapped under her armpit in the same way.
She leaned back slightly, but there was nothing behind her. The feeling of being suspended in mid-air made her feel insecure, so she quickly reached out and hooked her arms around Huo Yanxi's neck.
Huo Yanxi chuckled twice, "Wife, think about it carefully, how many times have you owed me in the past five years?"
Xie Yaoyao buried her burning cheeks in his shoulder and said shyly, "Don't say anymore, it's so embarrassing."
Huo Yanxi: "Okay, I won't say it, I'll just do it."
Xie Yaoyao was so annoyed by his teasing that she opened her mouth and bit his shoulder, causing Huo Yanxi to grunt.
It doesn't hurt.
I just enjoyed being bitten by her.
As soon as Xie Yaoyao let go of him, the next second, she was hoisted onto the man's shoulder. The water glass in her hand fell to the ground, but it didn't break. It spun around a few times and then stopped.
Huo Yanxi carried her into the living room and threw her onto the soft lambskin sofa.
He pounced on her like an elegant leopard, his hands bracing himself on either side of her.
His eyes were bloodshot at the corners, and firelight flickered in his dark pupils; he looked at her as if he wanted to devour her.
Xie Yaoyao was familiar with his gaze; in fact, it made her feel a little uneasy.
She used the sofa to back away, but the sofa was only so long; for every step she took back, he took a step forward.
"Huo Yanxi, don't do anything reckless."
Huo Yanxi grabbed her leg and pulled her back, "Baby, I want..."
"No, you don't want to!" Xie Yaoyao was truly afraid of him.
They haven't done anything productive these past two days; they've just been lying in bed doing nothing.
Huo Yanxi ignored everything and lowered his head to kiss her lips. Xie Yaoyao struggled and protested, but in the end, she could not escape his clutches.
Before Xie Yaoyao fainted, she was especially relieved that she had to go to work the next day.
She had never longed to go to work as much as she did now.
Early Monday morning, Xie Yaoyao walked into the Chinese language group office with a silk scarf around her neck.
Her colleagues hadn't arrived yet, so she put her bag on her seat and went to pour herself a glass of water.
She hasn't done anything these past two days except indulge in daytime debauchery.
She hadn't even had time to prepare the presentation slides for today's class, so she quickly made sure to finish them while there was still plenty of time.
As her colleagues arrived at work one after another, everyone who glanced at Xie Yaoyao couldn't help but take a second look at the scarf around her neck.
"Teacher Xie, aren't you hot? It's 37 degrees outside, and you're still wearing a scarf."
Xie Yaoyao looked embarrassed. "I caught a chill these past two days, and my shoulders and neck are a bit uncomfortable. The traditional Chinese medicine doctor told me to wear a silk scarf."
She lies without batting an eye.
Her colleague joked, "Your neck and shoulders are cold. I thought your husband had left hickeys on them."
Xie Yaoyao's cheeks burned, and she guiltily avoided her colleague's gaze, saying, "Nothing of the sort."
Although her neck was indeed covered in hickeys from Huo Yanxi, she wouldn't admit it.
Another colleague, having heard that Xie Yaoyao's husband was abroad, said, "Don't tease Teacher Xie. If she has a hickey on her neck, it's more believable that it's from a mosquito bite than that her husband planted it."
When this topic comes up, everyone loses all semblance of being teachers and elders.
When Xie Yaoyao heard their conversation veer towards the highway, she quickly closed her laptop and said, "I have my first class this morning, so I'm going to the classroom now."
Several teachers behind her couldn't help but tease her, "Teacher Xie is too shy. She should talk to us more in the future."
Xie Yaoyao looked on with obvious reluctance and ran away quickly with her laptop in her arms.
After one class, she felt a bit sore in the back and weak in the legs.
It's also Huo Yanxi's fault for being so unrestrained; he really drained her dry these past two days.
She used to be able to teach all morning without feeling tired, but now her back is already aching after just one class.
Back in the office, I saw a bunch of bright red roses on my desk.
18 flowers, no exaggeration.
The fifth-grade Chinese teacher sitting opposite said, "Teacher Xie, these flowers were sent by your husband, right? You weren't here just now, so I accepted them for you."
Xie Yaoyao smiled and said, "Thank you, Teacher Li."
"There's a card on it. See if you need to reply to the message you received."
