155 Protecting one's own
Chi Wanwan plopped down on the sofa and said, "I'm not leaving. This is my home. I'm not going anywhere."
Mr. Chi, unable to contain himself any longer, roared at her, "Ask yourself honestly, is this really your home?"
Chi Wanwan bit her tongue, tears welling up in her eyes from the pain, and stubbornly looked at Chairman Chi.
"Daddy, Mommy, I was raised by you both. Just because we're not related by blood, are you going to abandon me?"
Madam Chi still couldn't bear it. "Wanwan, listen to me. Sending you abroad for further studies is for your own good."
"Is this for my own good, or do you want me to make room for your biological daughter?" Chi Wanwan was used to being willful.
In the past, when she was so aggressive, the Chi couple always coaxed her gently because they thought she was their own flesh and blood.

Chi Wanwan turned her face away and refused to apologize.
Enraged, Chairman Chi stormed upstairs and quickly disappeared into the stairwell.
Just then, a servant's joyful voice came from the courtyard, "Young Master, you're back."
Chi Wanwan's eyes lit up. Her older brother was back!
He's the one who spoils her the most in this family, so he definitely won't let her adoptive father send her abroad.
She was about to get up and leave when she suddenly remembered something, and she sat on the sofa and began to sob.
Chi Mu strode into the villa, and the butler took his suitcase from him.

Chi Wanwan hugged Chi Mu and said, "Brother, it's my fault. I made Daddy angry because I was keeping an artist as a mistress. I accept Daddy's punishment, but I don't want to leave Hong Kong."
Chi Mu said, "If you don't want to leave, no one can force you to. I'll go talk to Dad right now."
Chi Mu raised his hand and wiped away her tears. "Okay, your makeup is all ruined by crying. You don't look pretty at all. I bought you a gift. Go get it from your suitcase."
"Thank you, brother." Chi Wanwan smiled through her tears.
Chi Mu gently tapped her red, tear-stained nose and said affectionately, "I'll go find Dad first, then I'll come back to keep you company later."

Chi Mu got up and went upstairs.
Madam Chi's brow twitched; she felt something was amiss, but couldn't quite put her finger on it.
With someone backing her up, Chi Wanwan stopped crying. She had the maid take the bags and packages she had bought that day back to her room, and she went upstairs as lightly as a bird to Chi Mu's room to get the gift he had bought for her.
Madam Chi watched her adopted daughter's cheerful figure, thought for a moment, and then hurried to her study.
Chi Wanwan was raised by Chi Mu himself, and he couldn't bear to see her suffer any injustice.
The father and son always had a big fight because of Chi Wanwan, and today was no exception.
Chi Mu's expression held a hint of irritation. "Dad, Wanwan has already graduated from university. Why are you sending her abroad for further studies?"

"So you're sending Wanwan abroad just to make room for your biological daughter?"

Chairman Chi slammed the two documents in his hand in front of Chi Mu and said, "Take a good look at why I sent her abroad."
Chi Mu picked up the document and quickly scanned it. The more he read, the more his brows furrowed. After reading it, he vehemently denied it, "Impossible. I raised Wanwan myself. I know her character best. She couldn't possibly do such a thing."
“I sent someone to check her itinerary. She did visit the small fishing village five years ago. Chi Mu, if she really hurt your sister, I will not forgive her.”
