Chapter 14 Small Pit Xie Jinya

"Dad, you don't also think that I'm trying to sow discord between Grandpa and you two, do you?"

Although she had given up hope for her parents, she couldn't help but feel a little optimism at crucial moments.

In fact, she didn't know what she was hoping for.

Because all she ever received was disappointment.

An Guosheng immediately looked away, ignoring Lin Chuxia's expectant gaze, and said coldly, "Alright, what kind of noise is this! None of you are allowed to leave the house tomorrow morning. You're all coming with me to your grandfather's place!"

Finally, he stopped Lin Chuxia again, "I know you may also be unwilling. If you want to go to a better school, there are ways, but I hope you can be more honest and just say what you want. Don't overthink things like that, you're just a kid! Let's just let this go this time, I don't want this to happen again."

Lin Chuxia's eyes were a little red. "Do you think I'm that worthless?"

An Guosheng did not answer, but his attitude spoke for itself.

An Mingzhu, standing to the side, blinked and took a few steps forward, saying, "Chuxia, you're completely overthinking it. Your parents are just trying to help you. Don't always assume your parents' thoughts with malice. It will only hurt their feelings."

Lin Chuxia suppressed the bitterness in her heart, turned around and gave An Mingzhu a cold glance before leaving, her back straight, though she walked upstairs rather quickly.

.

The next day, the An family set off for the old house early in the morning.

"After you go in, remember to tell your grandfather that it was your own fault for not wanting to do it!" Xie Jinya coldly instructed Lin Chuxia after getting out of the car.

Lin Chuxia didn't answer, so she took it as her consent.

Grandpa An knew they were coming, so he waited for them early in the morning.

Upon seeing Lin Chuxia, the old man's stern face instantly broke into a beaming smile. "Chuxia, come sit here with Grandpa! It's been quite a while since I've seen you. Why don't you come and keep this old man company and chat with him more often?"

"Grandpa, Mingyu and I miss you very much too!" Seeing that Grandpa An seemed to only have eyes for Lin Chuxia, An Mingzhu felt a little jealous and couldn't help but pull An Mingyu to walk up to Grandpa An with a smile.

"Yes. I know you're both good kids." Grandpa An nodded, then looked at Xie Jinya and An Guosheng behind them, his smile fading slightly. "Alright, come in, don't stand around outside."

Once inside, Old Master An cut to the chase, "So, how's your plan going?"

“Um…” Xie Jinya gave Lin Chuxia a look, but the latter pretended not to see it and kept her head down, as if she could only see the plate of dried fruit in front of her.

"That brat..." Xie Jinya cursed inwardly, then looked at Lin Chuxia with a smile and said, "Chuxia, didn't you say you had something to say to Grandpa?"

"Huh? What? Is there something I want to say to Grandpa?" Lin Chuxia pretended to be clueless.

"You silly child, didn't you just tell us before you came that you thought holding a banquet was too much trouble and you didn't want to hold one?" Xie Jinya smiled gently and "reminded" Lin Chuxia in a mild tone.

"Little Xia, did you really say you didn't want to hold a banquet?" Old Master An asked seriously.
