When Lin Chuxia returned to the dormitory, only He Yuhan was there.
This was the first time the two had met since the family banquet. He Yuhan seemed surprised that Lin Chuxia would suddenly return and was stunned.
Lin Chuxia was unaffected; she merely glanced at her briefly before looking away.
I took the computer out of the cabinet, plugged in the network cable, found the notebook, turned to the page where I recorded data in the herbal medicine room today, and sat down to start working on the presentation file for the midterm exam.
Sitting on the upper bunk, He Yuhan watched her work diligently on the PowerPoint presentation, but ultimately couldn't muster the courage to speak out what was hidden in her heart.
It wasn't until Lin Chuxia's phone rang and she finished the call and was about to leave that she mustered up the courage to call out to Lin Chuxia.
"Lin Chuxia, um... I'm sorry, can you forgive me?" He Yuhan looked at Lin Chuxia anxiously.
If I miss this opportunity, I don't know when I'll have another chance to be alone with Lin Chuxia.
Lin Chuxia paused in packing her notebook, looked up at He Yuhan who looked nervous, pursed her lips, and then said, "I don't think there's any question of forgiveness between us. You were just driven by self-interest and made a choice that wasn't on my side."
"Then... will you mind what I did before?" He Yuhan asked, then quickly explained to herself, "I didn't do anything to hurt you, really! Um... can we go back to how things were before?"
After hearing this, Lin Chuxia didn't rush to reply. She tidied up her computer and put it back in the cabinet before turning to He Yuhan and questioning her, "There are direct and indirect ways of causing harm. I don't know what your definition of harm is?"
He Yuhan's face was pale, and she murmured, "I..."
"If I were you, I would voluntarily apply to move out of this dormitory. However, I don't live in this dormitory often either, so you can stay if you want. But my advice to you is to leave."
She's not magnanimous enough to smile and make peace with someone who has hurt her.
She didn't retaliate simply because she felt they couldn't cause her any more harm and didn't want to waste her time on them.
Besides, they will eventually reap what they sow, so there's no need for her to do anything more.
...
After Lin Chuxia finished speaking, she didn't look at He Yuhan, whose face was pale, again. She picked up her schoolbag and went downstairs.
As she walked downstairs, she took out her phone and texted Gu Yuheng: Where are you?
[Gu Yuheng: It's downstairs in your dorm building; you'll see it as soon as you come out.]
Sure enough, as soon as Lin Chuxia got downstairs, she saw Gu Yuheng standing under the big tree.
The man was outstanding in every way, and standing there, he was like a beautiful sight, attracting the admiring glances of the girls passing by.
Some girls even approached him and struck up a conversation: "Handsome, are you here to find someone? Who are you looking for? Do you want me to help you go up and find them?"
Gu Yuheng looked behind her, a smile playing on his usually cold and indifferent face. "Yes, looking for someone... but I found them."
Gu Yuheng walked around the girl and stood next to Lin Chuxia, looking at her with a smile in his eyes, without saying a word.
"Why are you here?" This was the first time Gu Yuheng had come to the school to see her, and Lin Chuxia was a little surprised.
"I wanted to see you, so I came." After reading the information Gu Shi reported to him, he couldn't help but want to see her, to hold her in his arms, and to kiss her properly.
