"Gu Yuheng, how did you get out? When did you wake up? Are you still feeling unwell?"
After Lin Chuxia ran up to Gu Yuheng, she asked him three questions in a row.
However, Gu Yuheng did not answer her. Instead, he gestured for Gu Jiu to push him back to the ward.
Lin Chuxia was stunned for a moment, then immediately followed. After entering the ward, Gu Jiu wisely handed the wheelchair handle to Lin Chuxia, and then left and closed the ward door behind him.
"Gu Yuheng, why aren't you saying anything? Is there something else that's bothering you?" Lin Chuxia pushed Gu Yuheng to the bedside and looked at him with some concern.
Gu Yuheng glanced at her coldly and asked, "Who are you?"
Lin Chuxia's heart skipped a beat, the joy in her eyes instantly turned into panic, and her face turned pale in that instant.
"Gu...Gu Yuheng...don't you remember me? I...I am your wife..." Lin Chuxia's voice trembled uncontrollably, her heart filled with extreme fear.
Gu Yuheng said expressionlessly, "Since she is my wife, why didn't she watch over me when I was injured, but instead ran off to hug and cuddle with another man?"
“I was watching you. Except for leaving for a short while to talk to my brother, I was by your side watching you the whole time…” Lin Chuxia looked at him helplessly, her little face filled with fear. “Gu Yuheng, please don’t scare me. Have you… really forgotten me?”
Gu Yuheng didn't look at her, his gaze fixed on the bed. He said in a slightly deep voice, "Didn't you say you were my wife? Why aren't you carrying me up? Or are you planning to let your injured husband climb up himself?"
Upon hearing this, Lin Chuxia disregarded everything else and quickly squatted down to pick up Gu Yuheng. She planned to carry Gu Yuheng to bed in a princess carry.
Seeing her action, Gu Yuheng's face darkened, and he directly avoided Lin Chuxia's movements: "You can help me up."
"Oh." Lin Chuxia quickly changed from hugging to supporting.
In her haste, she had forgotten that Gu Yuheng still had one leg that wasn't injured and that he could stand on one leg.
Lin Chuxia helped Gu Yuheng up, but when she was about to help him to the bed, for some reason, the weight of the person she was helping suddenly pressed down on her. Lin Chuxia was caught off guard and was pulled onto the bed.
Before she could react, her lips were suddenly captured and bitten hard, as if in a fit of anger.
Lin Chuxia was worried that her movements might aggravate Gu Yuheng's wounds, so she simply wrapped her arms around his waist gently, letting him press against her, and passively responded to his kiss.
When Gu Yuheng woke up, he couldn't see Lin Chuxia, and he felt a little flustered. He hadn't forgotten what he had said to Lin Chuxia before he fell off the cliff.
Although he didn't mean anything by what happened back then, the mistake he made was real. Lin Chuxia values her family so much, and he's genuinely worried that she won't forgive him because of it.
So immediately, he asked Gu Jiu to go out and find her. Unexpectedly, as soon as he left the ward, he saw Lin Chuxia happily rushing into Lin Qingze's arms.
Gu Yuheng was angry.
Or, to put it more accurately, it was anger tinged with bitterness.
